I decorate the Living Room in an Autumn Elegance theme but the Dining Room is reserved for Halloween!!!
Today, I will finally be sharing how I displayed everything that I have been making for Halloween!!!
But first, I want to Thank Richella, over at Imparting Grace, for featuring my post, Autumn Elegance Tree, from last week's Grace at Home Linky Party!!!
Thanks so much for the feature, Richella!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!
You may remember that I had been doing a lot of crafting for Halloween......
Potion Bottles.......

And click HERE....
And Spell and Potion Books......

And a few more Halloween projects.........
Click HERE if you missed that post........
This is how I decorated the Dining Room buffet for many years for Halloween......
I bought the Halloween Village at JoAnn Fabrics when my sons were young......
This year, I thought it was time to pass it on so I gave it to my nephew John and his wife Renae' and their 3 daughters, Cortney, Caitlin and Carly.....
Here is where they have it on display......
They have also added other pieces to other Halloween displays so I know it has a good home.....
That left me to come up with a new decorating idea for Halloween for the buffet....
Several years ago, at our church's Harvest Tea, I decorated my Hostess Table using the theme of Quote The Raven Nevermore from Edgar Allen Poe.......
I decided to use that theme for my Dining Room buffet.....
By the way, in a week or 2, I will be doing a few posts on our church's Harvest Tea since this year, I returned as a hostess and my table theme is Under the Sea".....
Back to the Dining Room buffet.......
This is the wall in the corner where the buffet is......
I will show you more of this in another post.......
When you have a Dining Room that is Victorian style and it's walls are painted a rose color, black, white and silver seemed the best way to go when decorating for Halloween.....
Again, I will share more of the area around the buffet in a future post......
It took me quite a bit of time to get everything arranged the way I wanted it at first.......
I added a Halloween runner on top of the white lace runner that I already had on the buffet.....
I liked the sheer black spider web look of this runner I bought a few years ago on Clearance at Big Lot's against the white lace runner!!!
It seemed only fitting to leave my hurricane lamp on the buffet.......
Some of the potion bottles that I made.........
"Once upon a Midnight Deary" framed and a clock that I embellished set to midnight.....
More potion bottles elevated on a cake stand with a silver tray from Dollar Tree on top of it.....
A silver skull from Dollar Tree is glued on top of a painted wooden candlestick......
A spider web bought at Dollar Tree rests behind the potion bottles ......
You may remember that I bought the typewriter at Marshall's this year for $14.99........
I fell in love with it!!
And I felt it was perfect for this display!!!
The center of the buffet........
On the shelf........
A potion bottle and a framed Halloween graphic, "Twisted Twigs"......
Underneath the shelf in the center of the buffet.......
I bought this skull in Micheal's several years ago.......
It is resting in an antique sterling silver bridal basket.......
A black crow or raven, whatever you would like to call it, sits on the handle of the bridal basket......
I decided to give the skull a different look this year after seeing this skull on Pier One's web site......
I already had rubber eye balls glued into the eye sockets of the skull so I just glued these large gems that I bought in the jewelry section of Michael's onto the rubber eye balls.......
I had rhinestone trims and another glitzy trim from the $1.00 bins at Michael's that I glued on.....
Along with a few more of those larger gems......
So that is my "Glammed" up skull!!
You can see that I scattered some bones, mice, spiders and smaller skulls around the display......
You may remember the potion book that I also made.......
I forgot to mention that I also wrapped some battery operated lights around the whole display.......
I bought this candelabra in Gabes this year for a mere $2.99!!!
I used battery operated candles that come on by timer in the candelabra.......
More potion bottles on a cake stand with a silver tray on top of it.......
An apothecary bottle filled with chocolate eye balls......
Another spell book that I made.......
In a silver bony hand bought at Michael's holding a pumpkin bought at Dollar Tree......
A framed graphic, "Quote the Raven Nevermore"......
And there you have it.........
My " Quote the Raven Nevermore" buffet........
In my next post, I will be showing you where I moved my Halloween Tree and how I decorated the area around it.......

ReplyDeleteDebbie, you truly amaze me! Where do you get your endless energy for all these projects? Not only do you craft all these items, then you style your home, take the photos, and create a post. It's fun to visit! Thanks for stopping by my fall tour. Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteWow ! Wow! Your decorating for halloween is spectacular. Great attention to detail and put together just right. Love the potion bottles.
ReplyDeleteCarrie,

Such cleverness - you are indeed inspiring. And where do you store all these wonders when you are not showing them off in your super fun displays? So many clever ideas to ponder. Happy spooky week ahead.
ReplyDeleteDebbie you are the queen of clever details. I have always loved "Nevermore". Have a wonderful Monday!
ReplyDeleteA ghostly adventure shared. Love all your potion bottles and my favorite Poe "Nevermore".
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteYou are a creative genius. I had to go back and forth through your pictures so I could take it all in. I have a typewriter just like yours and your skull is amazing. What a wonderful display you always make.
Thanks for sharing at Over The Moon party.
Hugs,
Bev
This post is jammed packed with Halloween inspiration! So many fun details and kudos to you for putting it all together.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, There are no words other that W.O.W.! What a fantastic display! I can just imagine the time it took to put this together and you should be so proud of it. Wow again my dear friend! Great job!

Love the gems you added to the skulls--so creative! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteAh Debbie, your heart must have been a bit sore giving that Halloween Village you bought at JoAnn's away to the kids, but it does look like they're loving it as much as what you did. Your displays always surprise me with how much thought and effort you put into them. Even a simple clock turned to midnight just makes everything fit together so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWOW. I am gobsmacked by the plethora of Hallowe'en glam and gore! So eerily romantic - and I adore the Poe theme! Thanks so much for taking the time to construct such a thorough post on your displays!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, What a spooky assortment and so fitting with the Edgar Allen Poe theme. Thank you for linking up with Party in Your PJs! I pinned to my Halloween board!
ReplyDeleteI love all your Halloween crafts! Especially the poison Apple spell book. Visiting your blog always gives me a lift!
