I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

A Tale of 2 Halloween Hauned Houses in the Dining Room

Welcome!!

In this post, I will be wrapping up my little Tour of our Dining Room decorated for Halloween.....

In previous posts, I shared my "Quote the Raven Nevermore" Buffet....
Click HERE if you missed it......

Then I shared the corner of the Dining Room where I displayed my Halloween Tree along with a few more things.......
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

And in my last post, I shared another area of the Dining Room where I have my Funeral Basket decorated for Halloween, more embellished pumpkins and a little bit of Poe!!
Click HERE if you missed that post.......

And that beings us to this area of the Dining Room......
We left off here at the buffet......
Next to the buffet is a small curio.......

There is a Home Interiors shelf above the curio.......

On the shelf is a Skeleton bride and groom.......

A Vintage style Halloween card is also displayed on the shelf along with a black glittered rose.........

On top of the curio, is a new Halloween Putz house!!!

Joe bought this one in J.C. Penney's this year.....
 It is battery operated.......
A " Happy Hauntings "sign sits in front of it.....
To the side of the house , is a Pumpkin Man.....
Isn't he dapper?????

You can see the Halloween sheer spider web runner that I added to the white lace runner on the hutch......
I also decorated the top of the hutch which is next to the curio.....
This is my 2nd Halloween Haunted House.....
 Hanging above the hutch.......
Is a Halloween Tussie that I made.......
I created a little Halloween scene here.....
I bought this Tree on Clearance in Michaels's last year.....
The black ravens on each side are perched on crystal candle holders......
The pumpkin people are Yankee Candle products.....
Joe bought them a few years ago using his comp points at from the Casino that is here locally.....
This ceramic Halloween Haunted House is my oldest Halloween decoration!!
When we were first married, Joe worked with a woman who did ceramics and had this made for me as a gift for our first Halloween as a married couple......
It is 39 years old.....
The tombstones are actually candy containers that had candy in the shape of little bones inside of them and were bought at Dollar Tree!!!
Another pumpkin person.....
And another vintage style Halloween card.....
So that is the Tale of 2 Halloween Haunted Houses!!
On the vintage window that is hung between the Dining Room and Living Room on this side is hung a sign from Dollar Tree......
Along with 2 plaques bought at Big Lot's and a Halloween ornament.....
And that completes my tour of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween this year.....
I still have a few more Halloween and Fall posts........

Next up , I will be sharing my Victorian Doll House decorated for Halloween along with a few Fall/ Halloween things in the Powder Room and downstairs hall way.......
This week, I returned as a Hostess for our church's Harvest Tea...

In about a week or so, I will be sharing what my table and all the other Hostess tables looked like for the Tea......
So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon......

  8. Deb, as always, very spooktacular. Love your little pumpkin men and how do you happen to still have that shelf from Home Interiors? That is going back some. I had the same one along with two candle holders that went on the wall. I haven't thought about them in a long time..Happy Days.. xxo Judy

  9. I think you ought to charge admission to give select tours to see your Halloween decor. I was absolutely fascinated! I love the doll house decorated for H, too. I have an unfinished dh that will eventually be a Halloween party in process, not a haunted house, but a family who loves decorating for the holiday. Even a graveyard. Yard sale toys (like Quasi Modo from Burger King; he will hold a trick or treat bag!) will look like they are in costume--got a Little Orphan Annie this week, have several kitchen witches, etc. Made towel bars from plastic doll house hands, twisted wire, and filigree bell caps to hold the "hand towels", another for a soap dish! Skellie in a wardrobe! I'm having fun which is what it is all about!

  12. Debbie you are all ready for Halloween. What fun it must be when you open your door to give the kids some candy and they take a peek inside your home. That is the real treat!
