But first I want to Thank these hostesses who featured, my post, Harvest Tea, My Table.....
Click HERE if you missed it........
Thanks to Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for featuring it from last week's Over the Moon Link Party!!
Thanks so much , Bev!!
And Thanks to Shirley, over at Intelligent Domestications, for choosing it as one of her features from last week's Merry Monday Party!!
Thanks, Shirley, especially for your very kind words!!
And I also want to Thank Claire, over at Claire Justine, for featuring my post, An Evening Fall/Halloween Tour, from last week's Creative Mondays Party!!
Thanks again, Claire!!
Please stop by and link up to these wonderful parties!!
I mentioned in the post that I did sharing my table that I was a Hostess at our church's Annual Harvest Tea.....
As a Hostess, You are responsible for:
Choosing a theme in which to decorate your table or tables....
You then invite guests to sit at your table who pay a $10.00 Fee
Choosing a theme in which to decorate your table or tables....
You then invite guests to sit at your table who pay a $10.00 Fee
The church provides hot water for Tea and Coffee and the Entertainment for the evening
The $10.00 Fee paid to the church goes to a Scholarship Fund to assist selected high school students of the parish in paying for his/her Higher Education after High School.
This is a pure profit event as the expense is shouldered mostly by each hostess, who can share the cost with others such as family members or ask their guests to bring food.
As a Hostess, you can go as extravagant as you want or as simple as you want when decorating your table.....
I took these photos the day before the Tea. Some things were added to the tables by the hostesses on the day of the Tea but I did not get to take more photos on the evening of the Tea.....
I absolutely loved this one........
Harvest Romance by Ida and her daughters Mary and Annette
I will let the photos do most of the talking......Yes, they rented chair covers and a matching tablecloth!!
I do want to mention that the white plates and silverware are plastic!!!
Stunning, huh??????
This was Ida's first year back after her husband died suddenly 2 years ago.....
A few Autumn Themed tables.....
Fabulous Fall by Tiziana and Noreen
Their serving table.......The following 3 tables were done by Ann Marie and Cheryl
Autumn Amber
Those plates are paper!!!
These Turkeys are Not for Eating
Decorating with Ornaments
Again, the plates are paper!!
Apples and Pumpkins by Sue and Emilie
The Harvest by Sue
Autumn Time by Peg
Tropical Paradise by Mara
Grandma's House by Annette
These plates are plastic!!
Mardi Gras by Rosemary and Sandy
Happy Halloween by Bernadine, Jean, Mary and M/M
I have to tell you that these ladies are in their 70's and 80's and one is on oxygen!!!
Tiki Time by Lorraine and her daughters Robin and Maria
Grand Old Flag by Mary Ann
Ooh La La by Sharon
Baskets Galore by Carol
There are also tables for the General Public that women of the Parish who do not want to host a table contribute decorations and food to......
Dorothy is the chairperson for the Tea and she does the majority of the decorations for these tables
Mums the Word
Beach Fun
God Bless America
So whether each hostess goes all out or does it very simply, the tables are all unique and interesting and the event is a wonderful event to attend!!!
I hope you enjoyed seeing the Theme tables at our church's Harvest Tea......
In my next posts, I will be sharing Joe and our oldest son, Joey's trip to Pittsburgh to see a Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey game......
And the Carnegie Museum of Natural History......
And The Flight 93 National Park site which was really something impressive to see.......
This giant piece of limestone marks the spot where Flight 93 actually crashed
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
