Today I will be sharing my St. Patrick's Day Tree in the Den....
But first, I want to Thank Julie, over at Julie's Creative Lifestyle, for featuring my post, A Year Round Fairy Garden, from last week's Cooking and Crafting with J and J Linky Party!!
Thanks so much, Julie!!
I also want to Thank Aliyah and Reuven, over at Marriage Reset, for featuring my post, The Anniversary of the Worst Day of my Life, The Day My Dad Passed Away, from last week's Turn It Up Tuesday!!!
Thanks so much, Aliyah and Reuven!!!
Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!
I usually decorate Tree for every Holiday.
I only decorate for St. Patrick's Day in the Den as the rest of the downstairs is usually decorated for Easter since the 2 Holidays are so close together most years......
This 4 1/2 foot table top Tree was first decorated for Christmas.......
Then for Winter......
And now for St. Patrick's Day........
I made a bow as a topper out of white and green deco mesh ribbon........
I added a set of green lights........
I then added 2 different types of garland.......a green beaded one and a gold and green St. Patrick's Day tinsel garland bought at Dollar Tree......
I have accumulated ornaments over the past several years.......
The bow topper.......
A hand made ornament made from pipe cleaners that I bought at a Craft Fair......
Shamrock picks have been tucked in through out the Tree.......
Some of the ornaments are reproduction vintage Irish postcard plaques........
Mini tea pots with shamrocks on them......
Leprechaun ornaments..........
I hung little Leprechaun Hats from Dollar Tree as ornaments.......
I also tucked white and green carnations, also from Dollar Tree into the Tree.......
A stained glass angel ornament.........
A Leprechaun sitting in a pot of gold!!
Shamrock ornaments.......
A pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ornament.......
There are also 3 different shades of green ball ornaments on this Tree.......
A few large vintage style Irish Postcard plaques, bought at Michael's several years ago, were also used as ornaments.......
An Irish angel ornament.......
A Saint Patrick ornament.....
Another Leprechaun ornament......
Another Irish angel.....
Pots of gold.......
This Tree sits on an end table.......
I draped 2 St. Patrick's Day dish towels around the base of the tree creating a tree skirt......
A St. Patrick's Bowler Hat decorated with white and green carnations......
Vintage Irish post cards displayed on each side........
So that is my St. Patrick's Day Tree for this year.......
It really looks pretty in the evening.........
This Tree will be taken down after St. Patrick's Day and packed away for another year.......
I also decorated the china cupboard in the Den for St. Patrick's Day.........
If you missed those post, please click HERE for Part 1 and HERE for Part 2......
I hope you enjoyed seeing my St, Patrick's Day decorations........
Winter is far from over here in NEPA.......
We got 5-6 inches of snow this past Friday........
Our back yard.......
The front yard......
My neighbor, Lynn, took this photo as she walked down our road to work at the VA Hospital which is located across from the entrance to our development......
And it looks like we will be getting more snow..... maybe a LOT of snow.... as a Nor'easter threatens the East Coast this coming week.......
How far inland it hits will determine how much snow we will get....right now they are calling for the possibility of up to a foot of snow!!!!
Unfortunately, I am scheduled to work those days so it should be very interesting as hospitals don't give you Snow Days!!
I hope you will come by and visit again!!
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
Hugs,
Debbie

ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love your St Patrick's Day tree, Debbie. Thanks for sharing at Snickerdoodle.

ReplyDeleteHugs Alessandra
Looks great, love those vintage postcards and images :) like the green lights too!
ReplyDeleteWow you are getting hit with snow, we only received a dusting and it was gone by noon, hope you don't get too much more.
Debbie, That is a lot of snow! We also received an inch or two on Saturday morning, but it was pretty much gone by the afternoon and then I woke up this morning to another 2 inches, but luckily the streets were clear and it was pretty on the trees and lawns. Hope you guys didn't get hit with a foot of snow! Your St. Patricks Day tree is stunning! Love the pictures of the tree all lit up in the evening! Thanks for linking up with us at Snickerdoodle! Take care of you and Joe!

Oh wow Debbie, you always come up with the best ideas. Your St. Patrick tree is great, such a lovely idea. Oh my, I am not showing my daughter your post, she is so upset that we have only had one sprinkling of snow this year. She would have loved this much!! Thanks for sharing at Creative Mondays Debbie, have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, I love your St. Patrick's tree! You decorate everything so nice. Thanks for the shout out too. Thanks for sharing at C&C with J&J. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Hope you have a nice week and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteJulie
I really want to know where you find all your ornaments. I never find cute or unusual ornaments - I must shop at dull places! Thanks for sharing at Over the Moon. But I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed the tree is coming down after St. Patrick's Day - I was hoping to see one for Flag Day-Independence Day. Maybe????
ReplyDeleteDebbie, Stopping by from Brag About It to thank you for linking up and glad to hear you made it home with all that snow!! Take care of you and Joe and enjoy the winter wonderland if you can!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable tree. I love how you use it all year around. Thank you for sharing at Dishing it and Digging it link party.
ReplyDeleteFun! I didn't do anything for St. Pat's Day this year, so it is extra special to see your decor.
ReplyDeleteThis is just amazing! I would love to have a St Pat's tree. I think I like your green tree even better than your Christmas tree! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the snow. I love the tree. The little tea posts are precious. Thanks for sharing at our party.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, you have so many pretty St. Pat's ornaments! Thank you for sharing @Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteWow Debbie, you are buried in snow! I swear there's a bit of Irish in you girl with all of your fabulous decorations! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
