This is the 3rd and Final Post from our Dream Stay at the Stegmaier Mansion 2 years ago!!
In this post, I featured the amazing art work, ceiling and stained glass windows in the mansion. I hope you enjoy it!
Now here is my original post.......
Hello!!
Welcome to my 3rd and final post on our weekend stay at the Stegmaier Mansion!!
I told you that I took a lot of pictures!
First ,I want to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day!!
This means the end of the summer and I am so thrilled as I am no lover of the heat.
Fall is on it's way and that means my favorite time of the year, Sept. - Jan,. is on it's way!!
Will you be laboring on Labor Day???
Well, you know that I have to be since
hospitals don't shut down for a Holiday!!
I was off Sat. and Sun. nights but have to work on Mon. night. We will be having our little Labor Day celebration with the kids on Sunday since I am off that night and it will be a bit easier for me.
So I hope that you all enjoy your weekend!!
Second, did you notice my blog's new look? I had the same background last Fall but I wanted to add the picture of my newly painted Kitchen . So this is my Fall look.......

This post is all about the details in the public downstairs rooms of the Mansion!!
Let's start the tour.....
This pic was taken looking down from the staircase at the grand foyer of the Mansion.
See Joe looking at the items on the table.....
See Joe looking at the items on the table.....
Those are some impressive doors, aren't they?
This was the table that the cake for the Royal Wedding Tea was displayed on.....
Here is a picture of the Grand staircase in sepia tone.....
This table is to the left side of the staircase before you were to go through the entrance of the Dining Room....
This is the view of the stained glass sky light from the main floor standing by the table in the above photo, looking upward through the staircase.....
This is the underneath area of the staircase that is wall papered.....
Some of the magnificent art work going up the stairs......
Me, standing on the landing!
Look at that woodwork......
Joe, looking down.....
This painting,in the center, is as tall as I am!!!
More amazing art work.....
This is the 2nd floor where our room was.
Look at the ceilings and underneath the stairs.....
This is the stained glass sky light looking up through the staircase from the second floor!!
The ceiling at the top of the stairs on the 2nd floor...
A table with 2 chairs on each side....
The second floor hall way......
Some art work in the hall way.....
See the chandy and look at the size of the frame of that painting.....
Looking toward the staircase from the hall way. Our room door was on the left ......
Art work looking up toward the 3rd floor....
3rd floor landing....

Back downstairs in the Dining Room......
Magnificent......
Art Work in the Dining Room
The Ladies Parlor.....
Same setting in color....
Look at the details behind me.....
I have been to the Mansion several times and I just realized something when I was looking through these pics.
The woodwork is painted in the Ladies Parlor. it took me all of this time to realize this....
LOL!!
Stunning planter...
Another magnificent ceiling in the Ladies parlor....
I will let the next few pics speak for themselves......
A corner in the Ladies parlor....
Gold molding and elegant draperies!
Window Alcove....
I showed you this in Part One. The table that we were sitting at for the Royal Wedding Tea was in front of this and the pocket doors were closed....
The Dining Room was set up for a private Dinner for 15 on Sunday of our stay at the Mansion.....
This was set up as the bar area, as you can see...
Marble pillars and stained glass windows in the alcove......
Even the ceiling in the alcove is adorned.....
Punch bowl set up by the Baby Grand.....
Beautiful linens.....
On top of the Piano....
Set up for a buffet of some sort. You can see the fire place in the background.....
Don't you love that it is on top of a mirror???
I have seen pics where Joe Matteo uses several
mirrors placed on top of each other creating tiers.......
Look at this elegant waste basket......
To the right, you enter the Butler's Pantry that leads into the Library.
To the left, you walk down a small hall way where there is a Powder Room and the Hall Way leads into the Kitchen
The Butler's pantry.....
Set up for Tea and Coffee....
Stained Glass Windows in the Library.....
Stunning......
Fabulous Ceiling in the Library and more stained glass windows.......
The Fire Place in the Library.....
A table in the Library....
Looking out the back door on to the back porch......
The library was set up on Sunday for the private dinner for 15.......
Love the plates......
The Gentleman's Parlor.....
It was set up for the Royal Wedding Tea in this pic.....
Will you look at the size of this painting????? Compare it to the sofa below it......
In the Gentleman's Parlor.....
Now when there are events being held in the downstairs of the mansion which can hold 50+ people, there are 3 Powder Room's provided.
I just had to mention this because I think it was amazing that Joe Matteo even thought of this.
There is one in the Library, one in the hallway between the Gentleman's Parlor and the Dining Room and one in the hallway between the Ladies Parlor and the Kitchen......
I forgot to take pics of them but they are all restored and reflect the time period at the Turn of the Century.....
