Embellished Fall Ornaments

Welcome!!

After Christmas, I bought some ornaments in K Mart on Clearance that I knew would be perfect for my Living Room Autumn Tree........

These large glitzy leaves were marked down to $1.60 each!!
They came in gold and copper.........

On a recent shopping trip to Dollar Tree, I bought 2 packs of acorns.........
I glued the acorns to the leaves and then glittered the acorns......
I think the acorns added a bit to the leaves........
I look forward adding these ornaments to my Autumn Tree.........

I bought 2 packs of these cardboard leaves on Clearance after Christmas in Target for $1.00 a pack........
One pack was gold..........
And one pack was copper........

When I bought them, I had no idea what I was going to do with them.

A few weeks ago, I realized that these cardboard leaves would be light enough to hang on my LED Branch Tree in the Living Room......

The only problem was that they were just plain cardboard on one side..........

So I decided to finish off the unfinished side........
How they look now was caused by an epic fail!!!

I first painted them gold and then painted on gold glitter glue from a squeeze bottle, spreading it all over each leaf.....

It looked good at first but when they dried, the white glue bled through, not drying clear like I thought it would........
So I painted them again with the glitter glue and then sprinkled them with gold glitter......

This time when they dried, it looked like the background was aqua!!
So I left them like this and glued on a ribbon as a hanger, turning them into ornaments!!

Now both sides are finished!!

In my previous post, I shared that I bought this Harvest sign at Gabes for $7.99......
I decided to dress it up a bit with a bow made from raffia.........
For right now, that is all the Fall crafts I have done but I have been working on some Halloween ones.........
I hope you will be back to visit again soon to find out what I did with all these bottles!!!!
