I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

UPDATE: Not able to comment on certain Blogs!

I am having a terrible time trying to comment on some Blog posts... The ones where you can comment by logging into Google, using a URL and Name or commenting Anonymously will not allow me to comment at all on some blogs!!
I have learned that if I switch browsers to Google Chrome when viewing these blogs, I can comment one these blogs so that is what I will be doing....

Today, I will be sharing the rest of my Kitchen decorated for Falloween as it is a combination of both Fall and Halloween!!

In my last post, I shared my Beverage Bar and a new Candy Corn display on top of the fridge in the Kitchen.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I want to Thank Barb, over at French Ethereal, for choosing my post, Halloween Front Yard and Garden Update, as one of her features from last week's Share Your Style Link Party!!

 Thanks so much, Barb!!

I also want to Thank Andrea, over at the Cottage Market , for choosing my post, Halloween Tree and Haunted House in the Dining Room, as one of her features from last week's A Morning Cup of Joe Linky Party!!

Thanks again, Andrea!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties.....

I also want to Thank fellow Blogger Miss Merry for giving me a Shout Out as her inspiration for creating her own Cabinet of Curiosities after seeing my post on mine!!

Looks fantastic Miss Merry and I was thrilled that I was able to give you a little bit of inspiration!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I took advantage a a nice day yesterday and worked out out in the back from 10:30 am til 3:30 pm!!

I cleaned up all the Patio decor and garden art, packed it away in the tubs for Joe to take to our storage shed, packed up all the solar lights, moved the furniture, things from the yard and patio under the awning that will be covered up with a tarp to protect it from the harsh winter weather ( that is if we get any this year)...

I pulled out the remaining annuals, cut down most of the perennials, raked some leaves and swept up....

Still not done but not much left...have to still straighten the potting stand before we tarp it and then I will need to place the chair covers over the chairs and tarp the whole back of the house, rake more leaves and cut back more perennials after a frost....

We also will be putting a new roof on so I need to keep this area by the potting shed open for them to get up on the Den roof ......

Today, I will be finishing up my Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Falloween......

I shared, in a previous post, my Halloween Kitchen Tree and Hutch.....

We will start today here at the stove....

In the side of the cabinets above the stove.....

2 Dollar Tree signs that I embellished last year.....

Dollar Tree oven mitts.....

On the side of the stove....

I placed an arrangement of Fall florals in the inverted grater.....

And hung a Fall towel from the bottom of it......

More fall florals added to the antique Mr. Peanut canister, that was my Mother's, which is filled with my vintage rolling pin collection....

I hung a Fall outdoor mini flag on the side of the stove.....

 Above the stove....

Pot holders and Dollar Tree signs......

Halloween towels hang on the oven handle......

Next to the stove....

I bought these in Dollar Tree in the very beginning of the Season..

And I embellished them....

I hung the "Apple Pie" one closer to the stove....

A Fall sign....

Sorry for the glare from the overhead light.....

That is better....

I still treat the area where the Kitchen window was as a window......

We removed the window when we made the Patio into our Den.....

This year, I hung a different Dollar Tree sign over the one I have hanging here all the time.....

And I changed out the greenery swag for a more Fall like one....

I hung the valance I made from a table cloth.....

I added a plaid bow to the tea cup chandy I made and hung some ornaments I made last year from 2 different type of Dollar Tree ornaments.....

Hanging on the side are more Dollar Tree signs.....

On the "sill".....

A crackle glass hurricane jar with pumpkins on it.....

And the 3rd wood rolling pin I bought at Dollar Tree.....

I shared where I put the other 2 in the post on my Kitchen Tree and Hutch......

 Over to the right....

 The other Dollar Tree sign.....

I hung the "Hot Apple Cider" one here as it is closer to my Beverage Bar area.....

In the corner to the right....

A copper leaf mold....

And I added a few sunflowers to the arrangement in the wire tea cup....

I showed you these areas in my previous post.....

So that takes us to the last area in my very small Kitchen....

The counter bar.....

On the left side is my vintage laundry display....

All I changed here is the scarecrow....

I hung a huge Halloween cone, that my friend Anne Marie gifted me a few years ago, above the counter bar

The garland above.....

You may remember that I bought this pumpkin garland in Dollar General for $5.....

I wove it around the leaf garland that I use for Fall here....

I added fall colored plaid ribbon bows to the ends and the center.....

And clipped vintage style Halloween cards to the garland with white glittery clothes pins!!

I did not hang a Dollar Tree sign like I usually do over the "Galley" sign this year.....

I like the different look to the garland this year....

On the counter bar.....

A Fall plaid runner.....

You may also remember that I bought more of these plaid pumpkins at Dollar Tree this year and embellished them.....

I placed them inside of the pumpkin mugs on top of the red mercury glass candlesticks.....

A scarecrow I made out of a soup can last year and a sign from Gabes.....

Same thing on this side except the scarecrow is from Dollar Tree......

I used a Dollar Tree rug, covering it with an acrylic board because I take things out of the microwave and put them there on the counter.....

The cafe curtain is made from the same tablecloth that I used for the valance over the sink.....

And I bought the rug at Gabes this year for $5....

On the right side of the counter bar.....

A Dollar Tree sign.....

A white enamelware sign bought at Big Lot's a few years ago.....

And one more Dollar Tree sign.....

And that completes my tour of the Kitchen decorated for both Fall and Halloween......

I hope you enjoyed seeing the changes and new things I added this year...

Again, I had a really good time putting it all together and I want to stress the fact that I look at it as "PLAY" and NOT work!

In my next post on MONDAY, I will be sharing my other house, Nelson Crest, all decked out for Halloween fun....

Along with a few decorations in the Den and the downstairs Hall....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY!

  1. Hi Deb, hope you are keeping well. I've been MIA for ages, just haven't been up to doing a lot with digestion issues and osteoarthritis and waiting for knee surgery. Now it is cooler I'm inside more so will try faithfully to get back to posting. I have finally got a family doctor (a few years without) so can get things sorted out. Your decorating is lovely as aways.I'll be back to visit on your next post. Have a great weekend.
