Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for
posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge
it......
Well, we are getting more snow today....
1-3 inches.....
It is really coming down but supposedly, a fast moving storm.....
We will see!!
This Winter has sure been a banner Winter for Snow here in NEPA.....
This is my back yard!!!!
And because of that, I have been in no mood to take down my Winter decorations in the Den and decorate the China Cupboard in that room for Saint Patrick's Day like I usually do....
But I do hope to start that tomorrow as I hope to finally finish my HUGE Photo Organizing Project that I have been working on for almost 3 weeks now......
Truth be told, I have done little else but work on those darn pictures.....
In my last post, I shared how I started this project and decided to use acid free plastic storage cases for all our family photos over several decades!!!!!
Click
HERE if you would like to see that post.....
Yes, I have been obsessed with completing this project that I started 2 years ago....
After I finished decorating for Valentine's and Winter, I tackled going through, passing on and purging and re-organizing ALL my craft supplies in my Craft Room and in the Sitting Room closet where I store all Christmas related craft items......
So I guess I took a little break from my Seasonal decorating.....
Not only do I still have my Valentine's up but I never packed away my Christmas decorations upstairs....
I will get to packing away Christmas upstairs eventually but truly who cares?????
As a love of the color red, I am thoroughly enjoying all the red in the downstairs right now.....
It makes me happy!!!
I did do a bit of crafting before I started the Photo Project that I have not shared so I thought I would do that today.....
Before Christmas, Joe picked up this in Big Lot's......
Cute but I am so NOT into the red and black buffalo checked fad......
So it sat until I was "playing" in the Craft Room, looking through everything I had and I found some burlap ribbon and a light bulb went off inside my brain!!!!!
You may remember that I also transformed something he bought for Christmas that also had the red and black buffalo check fabric on it.....
I "dabbled" with the Christmas sign he bought at Gabes and turned it into this which fit the Christmas decor in the Kitchen better.....
Click
HERE if you would like to see this post......
I neglected to take pictures during the project so I apologize for that but with the addition of burlap ribbon and some scrap pieces of trim, this is how I transformed it....
I also found some mini snowflakes and stars that I added to it......
I like it so much better now!!
I have had it hanging in the Den as it is still decorated for Winter.....
I also had these heavy cardboard coasters that came in the mail for free as Joe donates to all these Veteran's groups so I decided to turn them into ornaments for my
Winter Bird Tree in the Kitchen......
Nothing fancy.....
Just added some scrap trims and ribbon flowers....
And hung them on my Tree in the Kitchen.....
I have learned over the years that you can make ornaments from almost anything!!!!
Just a few crafts that after cleaning out my Craft Room inspired me to do!!!
And now to the This and That of this post.....
For Valentine's Day, our son, Joey, bought his sweet Niece pup, Faye , a new tee shirt.....
Yes, it is a Yoda shirt that says " Judge me by My Size, do you????"
She has recovered nicely from her surgery, being spayed, and now weighs a whopping 6.4 pounds!!!!!
She loves her G Pop , who takes her on walks several times when we go to leave her out when Jim and Danielle are working....
MiMi ( me) gets to play with her when she comes in from her walks....
We spend about 45 minutes to an hour there 5 days a week and it is such a joy for us!!!
Speaking of Jim and Danielle, today, 2/22 is National Supermarket Employees Day!!!
Jim and Danielle work the 3:30 am to 12 noon shift at Target which you know sells food and groceries.....
They have continued to work , even doing over time, during this Pandemic.....
They work EVERY weekend with not having a Sunday off since after New Year's and they do not even get 2 days off in a row with Tuesday and Thursdays being their regularly scheduled days off since before Thanksgiving!!!!
They are our HEROES during this Pandemic......
And I pray for their safety every day!!!!!
So PLEASE be nice and treat these essential workers in your neighborhood with decency and respect.....
We actually had a few sunny days during the week and I got a chance to take these pictures of the Sun streaming through my Den windows and illuminating the glass shutters on the sill of what used to be my Kitchen window......
I found these shutters in my neighbor Elly's attic when cleaning out her home for her sons......
Glad I kept these shutters!!!
And I will close with one more thing.....
I have been constantly battling ice on my sidewalk in front of my house because of the icicles dripping from the porch over hang......
I think I have stock in the Ice Melt companies as we have bought so much.....
This is ice build up on my shrub in the front flower bed under my Living Room window.....
Taken last evening....
It is important to keep your sidewalks clear to make the job of those essential workers who are delivering your packages in all kinds of weather easier.....
Please be kind to them also and treat them with the respect that they deserve...
It is not their fault for the back log in deliveries due to short staffing because of Co Vid Cases, the weather halting delivery to distribution areas and the HUGE increase in online ordering......
And I will leave you with something that I hope puts a smile on your face....
While going through all those photos, I found this picture of our sweet Fur Baby Cassie, whom was a member of our family from 1991 to 2001.....
She was the only dog that I know of that would smile when you asked her to!!!
I hope she made you smile today!!
And I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

Diane,
DeleteGlad that you liked the pictures!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to host each week!! I appreciate all the time you put into it!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,

Cassie looks like she is saying CHEESE!
ReplyDeleteI love the update to the winter sign. So much prettier with the burlap and lace. Meant to be.
I have not started my photo sorting yet. But thinking about it!
Debbie, this has been such a cold and snowy winter! It's great that you have the puppy to visit everyday and your crafts to keep you busy. Take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI really like what you have done and your makeovers, too! You are so very smart to get a head start. I'm just not ready and I'll kick myself on that sooner or later!
ReplyDeleteOh Deb...I need your prayers now.
ReplyDeleteYou see one of our cats got out just before the snow started here (he is an indoor baby). He was once an outdoor feral cat..but so friendly and sweet. Somebody burned his tail once and some good Samaritans took him in, had him neutered, and had his tail treated (docked). One day in this terrible Texas heat I decided to take him in...and now he is out there...somewhere.
Could you please pray for him? That God watches over him and guides him home? I know to some his is “just a cat” but to us here he is a family member...and I know you understand the love of a pet..
Thank you,
xoxo
Nina
Nina,
DeleteI am sending prayers that your sweet cat makes it back hoe safely.... And sending hugs for you too!! Please keep me posted....
Hugs,
Debbie
Aaaah I just loved that picture of Cassie smiling. And yup, made me happy. So cute. I don't blame you for not wanting to take your winter decorations down, especially when it still feels like winter with all the snow you're getting. And it makes you happy. Those hours Jim and Danielle work are brutal. It would be nice if they at least got their days off back to back. Maybe someday that'll change.
ReplyDeleteGlad the picture of Cassie made you happy!! I do wish Jim and Danielle would get off at least 2 days in a row so they could at least sleep normally for 2 days straight...I know what working night time hours can do to one's physical health....
DeleteThanks so much for taking the time to host each week!! I appreciate all the time you put into it!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Goodness, Debbie. You sure got a lot of snow. Your garden is a winter wonderland and such large icicles. I loved seeing your crafts. What a great idea to turn the coasters into ornaments. I always come away with new ideas when I visit you, dear. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThe burlap ribbon makes such a difference to your "Believe" sign. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove the Believe sign! I think it makes the decor more special when you make it your own. Enjoy that snow! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLove your crafts and your snowy wonderland! Saying a prayer for your big photo project.
ReplyDeleteWow that is a LOT of snow!! It’s very pretty though!! Praying that you stay safe and warm!!
ReplyDeleteI like that sign so much better with the burlap and lace in place of the buffalo check plaid. Thanks so much for sharing what you've been up to with us. Pinned.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your pretty crafts but that Believe sign caught my eye!Beautiful pictures!Best wishes for you and yours!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,

Debbie, we've also had alot of snow last 2 weeks in Kitchener/Waterloo. You've created such adorable signs for your home. I've been wanting to sort out my photos - like FOREVER !! I really like how your sorted the photos. Where did you buy the acid free cases from ?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with us at Meraki Link Party.
Much Love
Naush
Lovely crafts, Debbie! I feel for the essential workers like Jim and Danielle. One of my closest friends works grocery and keeps the same kind of long, hectic schedule. I pray for her, too! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
