Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
While doing this, along with going through trying to date many more photos still in envelopes that never made it into albums, I am throwing out a lot of photos that I think are of no importance or would be to my sons when Joe and I are gone.......
For now, just for the sake of getting this project done, I am roughly marking each case according to year and putting a piece of paper inside naming the events and dates of the pictures inside.....
Our little Grand pup Faye had surgery this past week with being Spayed, micro chipped and even had a tooth pulled that did not want to come out!!!
"Snowmen in my kitchen"
In her Living Room......
" Then my Homer Laughlin Holly pitcher and an antique postcard and the clear things that look like jars are Victorian fairy lights; you put candles in them but I don’t have candles in them right now."
"Then you have another shelf that has the Holly Berry China again with the tile depicting an old postcard in the middle."
"And I don’t know why I’m into Calendar plates but I am. This one is from 1910 and I put it up for Valentine’s Day because of the cherubs."
"The next picture: a small round box with two little dolls that are called mignonettes. They’re from the early 1900s. They are small probably 3 inches. They were made that small so that a child could keep it in her pocket and have a doll to play with."
"These are the shelves in my side by side."
"Top one has a celluloid box."
"Then more calendar plates."
"These snow babies are from the 80’s."
" They were my aunt’s."
"Then there’s an ermine muff a postcard with a woman in her ermine and a Royal Daulton figurine in her ermine coat."
"The full side by side and the top of it"
"My hall tree."
" I kept the white tree there and put Valentine ornaments on it."
" Another honeycomb heart garland. And some antique honeycomb valentine cards."
"The blow mold Snowoman is probably only 3 feet tall. She is on top of that safe/table by my stairway"
"I took the Vaseline depression set and the reindeer off the tray and replaced it with this ice-skating doll from the 40s"
"Antique postcard and the book is from the early 1900s and of course you know I had the antique skates from Christmas"
"Of course my Cupid!"
LOL!!"
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Please take some time to visit these terrific hosts and all those joining in on the fun!
Anne Marie's home is just lovely. Her snowman collection is so fun and she really has skill at decorating. I love her vintage valentines, too.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in updates to your photo sorting. I started that project a few years ago and really need to get back to it. I ended up packing it all back up again and it needs to be restarted from the beginning.
My first decision was to throw away 50 years of pictures of my mother and my grandmother's cats as well as pictures of their flowers every spring. I think I filled a trash bag with just those.
Wonderful tour! Just amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos and home. I love the snow people and the piano, especially. And it looks as though you've been eating well at your home. Yum!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tour of Anne Marie's home and what a lovely collection she has. And what wonderful gifts that you received . Love that snowman. Have a great week. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThe mantel with all those snowmen and those bare trees is simply beautiful. Perfect for this time of year. That was my probably my favorite thing. TFS!
