Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
I am now posting 3 times a week !!!
I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....
Today, I will be sharing how I decorated 3 Trees in the Den in a Woodland Winter Wonderland theme.....
In my last post, I shared my Winter Front Porch and Yard and some crafting I did to change things up a bit!!!
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
I didn't eat all day so I could eat 2 slices!!
So good and so filling!!
I want to share pics of our little Grand Pups when they know that their Mama and Daddy are coming to pick them up when they stay at G Pop and Mimi's house!!!
They text when they are on their way and when my phone beeps, they know what that means as I only text with my sons and they get so excited....
Here they are sitting so nicely waiting for that front door to open!!!!
They are such good girls!!!
We are finally getting some seasonal weather and even though it was 25 degrees this morning that is still above our average morning temp. of 20 for this time of the year!!
I took these pics this morning when we walked the pups in snow flurries....
Azumi looking back for Faye!!
Joe coming up the road with Faye....
You can see the vehicles on Interstate 81 behind us...
We walk up this hill....
Then we turn here and walk past the Dog Park and behind the Hotel, Buffalo Wild Wings and Moe's up at the entrance to our development and the apartment complex that my sons live in....
Then back out to the main road and up this hill which is the entrance into the apartment complex....
Joey's bedroom window of his apartment is up on the hill in the pic above....
Snow coming down lightly on the mountains behind us!!
After walking the pups I usually do my exercise walking in and out of my Court and the court behind me, walking up and down the hill between the 2 courts 4 times....
The fresh air is great and I am losing inches with all the walking!!!!
Joe did it again!!
He won $1000 on a scratch off Lottery ticket....
A long time ago, we donated money to our church after winning in Atlantic City....
The priest told us that it will always come back to you.....
Karma....
Joe won $500 and then $400 in the beginning of the month....
The Scranton Diocese is currently having a competition between priests called Rectory, Set Cook with proceeds going toward local Soup Kitchens to feed the hungry....
We donated to our priest and church and also to one of our former priests and his parish and to the Cathedral, using money from that previous win....
If you would like to see the videos of what our local priests cooked up, please click HERE!!
It is great fun and if interested, Team Cathedral are the priests that my son Joey sees all the time and is friends with , including Bishop Bambera as Joey is an IT specialist for the Scranton Diocese....
Saint Maria Goretti is our parish and Father Alex is our new Priest and Father Jim, who is known for his comedy and singing, is one of our former priests.....
We also always share the wealth with our kids...Jim, Joey and Danielle....
I know Joe is only getting his money back but we are grateful for that.....
I have been slowly changing over the inside of the house to Winter/Valentine's...
I finished the Power Room....
And I finished the Den....
I decorate the Den after Christmas in a Winter theme....
This enables me to leave up quite a bit of my Christmas Decorations that are not blatantly Christmas....
Today, I will be sharing the Winter Trees in the Den that I decorated in a Woodland Winter Wonderland theme.....
The Den is the only room that I decorate solely for Winter....
This is what the main Tree in the Den looked like at Christmas....
Decorated in a Victorian theme....
And in a burgundy, blue and ivory color scheme.....
And now this is what it looks like decorated for Winter.....
I stripped this 4 1/2 foot Tree down to the lights and added a set of icicle lights....
Next I added a clear icicle like garland...
It reflects the lights of the Tree nicely....
Then I started adding the ornaments I collected over the past few years....
Snowflakes....
Deer heads....
Snow men....
Birds....
Owls....
And pine cone ornaments....
I then added clear acrylic snowflakes and icicles and gold glittered pine cones....
The top of the Tree......
I tucked 2 crystal beaded branches and pheasant feathers into the top of the Tree...
And added a bow made out of burlap and gold glittered ribbon.....
I used this ribbon and similar ribbon through out the room....
Some close ups of the Tree.....
I wrapped the Tree in a white snowflake wired garland....
I changed out the blue velvet tree skirt after Christmas for a white one trimmed in lace....
And I set up a small village underneath the Tree....
I bought these houses in Sears several years ago....
I think they are perfect for Winter as they really do not look like Christmas ones.....
This is one of my favorite Trees that I decorate....
Here are a few pics of this Tree in the evening....
From my chair in the corner.....
When I was cleaning out my neighbor Elly's attic, I found this vintage wall Tree....
I topped it off with a bow made from the same ribbon as the 4 1/2 foot Tree....
And decorated it with Owls bought at Dollar Tree....
Pine cones....
White mitten ornaments.....
And snowflakes and icicles......
I hung a snow man on the trunk of the Tree....
No lights on this Tree....
I will be sharing the Winter vignettes in the Den in my next post but you can see I kept out the Thomas Kinakde Village....
And this is the third Winter Tree in the Den....
This is how it looked for Christmas....
It was decorated with Thomas Kinkade ornaments....
I changed out a few things on top of and around the china cupboard along with the Tree on the side of it....
This is one of a pair of outdoor pathway Trees that I bought several years ago and use in the house....
I stripped it down to the lights and the white tinsel garland....
This Tree is decorated in a Winter Bird theme.....
Again, the Tree is topped off with a bow made from the same burlap gold glittered ribbon.....
And I tucked a few larger snowflakes into each side of the Tree....
I decorated the Tree with white snow birds....
Bird's nests.....
White Tree ornaments bought in Dollar Tree a few years ago......
Pine cones......
Bird houses.....
More birds....
And snow balls....
I wrapped the Tree in White snowflake wired garland....
And I kept it inside a blue enamel pot....
And in the evening, looking at it from my chair in the corner.....
It took me 3 days to change over the Den.....
Winter/Valentine's Tree Count
Tree # 1, 2 and 3
These are just 3 of the 10 Trees I decorate for Winter/Valentine's...

love your winter wonderland!!! I did take down my "red truck with Christmas tree" decorations in our bathroom. These are the only Christmas decorations down so far. I chose the smallest room to start and the real reason is that I could not wait to hang the snowflake shower curtain and matching hooks I got on sale at Big Lots last year. I moved some of my snowman Christmas decorations to the bathroom shelving and now I am just waiting on Amazon to bring me a very cute rug. Perhaps I will do pictures on my blog - if I can find the time with all my smalls here. The photo of the pups waiting is just precious!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the woodland trees! You have much more snow than we do! (Not saying much...) I'm finally getting Christmas down. One tree at a time!
ReplyDeleteHappy January! You have so many winter decorations that look like snow -- what a great way to celebrate the winter season while we're awaiting spring. Thank your for sharing this post in the Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-Up 49.
