Today, I will be sharing more projects and crafts that I made to go with my Summer "Under the Sea" Theme in the Living Room for the remainder of the Summer.......
But first, I want to Thank Lynda, over at Reviews, Chews and How To's, for featuring my post, "Under the Sea" Ornaments, Part 1, from last week's Party in Your PJ's Party!!
Thanks so much, Lynda!!
I also want to Thank Bev, over Eclectic Red Barn, for featuring my post, "Under the Sea" Ornaments, Part 2, from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Party!!
Thanks so much, Bev!!
Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!
In previous posts, I shared my Summer "Under the Sea" Tree.........
Click HERE if you missed that post.......
In my last post, I shared the "Beach" Beneath my Summer "Under the Sea" Tree......
Click HERE if you missed that post.......
This is the corner of the Living Room where the Tree is on display........
I like to set up a matching display for each Season and Holiday on the chair next to the Tree.......
Joe bought this set of candles at Bed, Bath and Beyond...........
The box said they had shells on them but I really did not see any shells........
So I decided to "dabble" with them a bit........
I added a bunch of small shells to the candles........
Then I created sort of a bracelet using rope and shells........
Instead of gluing it to the candles, I just can slip it over them and not use it if I do not want to.........
Here is a close up........
I think they look better than they did before, don't you???????
I placed them on the chair........
They come on by timer.........
I draped a piece of rope, that looks nautical to me, over the candles.......
They are actually sitting on a large cardboard book box to give them some height.........
Various shells are also on the book box.......
An embellished star fish is displayed in the center........
The anchors, sea horses and shells that I embellished sit around the star fish.......
It looks nice in the evening but that will be shared in another post........
On the other side of the Tree is a pedestal........
This is how it looked when I had the Tree decorated for the Summer Patriotic Holidays......
A ball of faux boxwood sits in the urn.......
I decided to tuck a few flowers into that faux boxwood ball that Joe bought on Clearance in Wegman's last year for $3.00!!!
I used aqua, white and peach flowers.........
At the base of the urn, sits one of those glass blocks..........
Let me show you what I did to it........
I forgot to take pictures of it before and during........
I glued a few shells inside of it and added these branches that I bought at Dollar Tree that look like sea weed to me.......
I glued an anchor and a sea horse that I embellished onto it........
Then I added a strand of LED fairy lights to light it up.......
As I mentioned before, I will be sharing how it looks lit up in the evening in another post.......
I like to always have a wreath on my faux window in the Living Room so I decided to make one to match my "Under the Sea" Tree!!
I used the same aqua deco mesh that I used as garland for the Tree.......
Wrapped some netting around the wreath and glued a bunch of shells to it.......
Added a few flowers........
And instead of a bow, I glued an embellished sea horse on the side of the wreath......
Over by the steps, I hung another wreath that I made......
I started with a straw wreath and wrapped white deco mesh ribbon around it........
I then wrapped some aqua deco mesh ribbon around it , giving it a life preserver look......
I also used the netting..........
Shells, an anchor and another sea horse were glued to the wreath.........
And that concludes all the things that I made to create my "Under the Sea" theme in our Living Room for the remainder of the Summer......
In my next post, I will be sharing how I decorated my LED branch Tree in the corner by the stairs.....
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......
