I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

In my last post, I shared a New Fall/Halloween Haul.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Since this coming weekend is Labor Day weekend, I waited to share my Den until now.....

After I took down my Winter decorations and packed away the Saint Patrick's Day decorations in and around the China Cupboard in the Den this Spring, my Den has been decorated in a burgundy, ivory and blue color theme with a touch of Americana decor.....

Today, I want to share how I decorate the China Cupboard and the area surrounding it for the Spring, Summer and most of the Fall months.....

This cupboard was given to me by a former neighbor who was going to throw it out!!!

I stripped it and painted it along with other pieces of furniture in this room.....

Let's start with the top of the China Cupboard.....

I like to use a lot of my Collection of red and blue transferware dishes in this room as they go well with the color theme......

I bought the sign " Let Freedom Ring" on Clearance in Gabes several years ago....

On the left side of the China Cupboard....

A reproduction chimney flute cover....

On a small table....

I bought this sweet Lady at a church Flea Market a few years back.....

I also painted this table and decoupaged book pages on to the top of it.....

One of my late neighbor Elly's Bears, from her Bear Collection, sits on this mini wing chair under the table....

Inside the China Cupboard....

Blue transferware......

Red transferware......

And Ruby Red Depression Glass Tumblers.....

Hanging on the door....

Is a flag I made last year using up some of my stash of trims.....

I also decorate the front of the China Cupboard using 2 vintage suitcases.....

I stacked the 2 vintage suitcases with the bottom one belonging to my Mother.....

The Beach Houses.....

And bottle brush trees came from Pier One.....

Another sign bought at Gabes.....

On a pedestal is the second Beach House....

On the side......

I kept out this burgundy drum after Christmas as I realized I could use it as part of my Americana decor....

The Tree on the side of the China Cupboard.....

The topper was bought at Clearance at Big Lot's for 90% off after Christmas that I simply added a flag to.....

Flags that I stained using Tea and a bow made from ribbon with a burgundy color stripe and a french script ribbon....

The Tree is decorated with mini Toile tea cups and tea pots.....

Cotton picks are tucked into the Tree.....

And a few stars.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing the China Cupboard and the area around it in the Den decorated with Red and blue transferware and a touch of Americana decor.....

It will stay like this until the last week of October when I decorate the Den for Christmas.....

I hope to share the rest of the Den in my next post on THURSDAY......

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY!!

  2. Always so much to see -- too much to see all the details at first glance. You do have decor for every holiday -- may have to make up a few to use everything!!
