I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared some Patriotic Crafts along with a few more Patriotic decorations.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Thanks to Angie, over at God's Growing Garden, for choosing my post, Back Yard Cottage Garden, as one of her features from last week's Tuesdays with a Twist Blog Hop Party!!

 Thanks so much, Angie!!!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Mimi got a surprise visit from Jim, Danielle, Lily, Gigi, Faye and Azumi on Tuesday afternoon........

They were out for a walk and walked up to see Mimi!!!!!

Lily......

They loved pressing the buttons on this toy because it talks and sings to them when they do!!

It makes them laugh and smile!!!

Gigi

And on their way back home....

Made my day!!!!

I made a pasta bake the other day for dinner with ground turkey that turned out pretty good....

My son Joey took what was left home for a snack at a later date....

Today, I will be finishing up my Tour of the Living Room decorated for the Summer Patriotic Holidays!!!!

We will start at the front door.....

I hung a plaque that I made on the valance rod of the front door.....

To the right when you walk in.....

I just added 2 flags to the arrangement in the vintage peach bowl and pitcher.....

And tucked this sign that I made into the bowl.....

To the right of the door is Joe's Great Grandmother's Hutch.....

The Hutch was decorated for Joe's Homecoming with Angels and I will be leaving it this way until  Christmas....

So I simply hung this sign from Dollar Tree on it....

I always decorate the stair area and the corner.....

On the left side of the stairs....

In my last post, I shared that I changed this store bought firecracker from Michael's......

By decoupaging vintage style tags onto it....

I decorated the lanterns that always grace the stairs with Patriotic bows that I made, flags, candles that I taped flags to and red and blue ornaments.....

You may remember that I made this Patriotic Angel several years ago.....

And I bought this gentleman at a church flea market a long time ago.....

On the right side of the stairs.....

I bought this young lady quite some time ago at an Estate Sale.....

And in my last post, I shared that I made the Patriotic " streamer" I guess I could call it....

Below the Patriotic Lady is a Dollar Tree tinsel wreath that I added a star to that I made.....

I placed a set of bottle lights in this cobalt blue vintage George Washington Bottle that belonged to my late neighbor Elly.....

I made this firecracker last year.....

I also previously shared that I decoupaged vintage style tags on this bird house....

The corner by the stairs.....

I like to decorate this chair for the different Holidays and Seasons.....

I decorated it with some Patriotic "Treats"...

I made this Patriotic arrangement and decorated this pot many years ago.....

I placed 2 Patriotic fans on each side.....

I bought the cupcake dishes at The Christmas Tree Shop.....

This plate of Patriotic "Treats" was made and gifted to me by my FB friend Angela!!!!

Blue and red star shaped tea light holders were placed on each side....

And I also used the dish cloth with the popsicle on it that my friend Anne Marie gifted me....

I usually have 2 lanterns underneath the chair......

I decorated them this year using some Patriotic sheet music that I printed from the computer.....

In the smaller one, is a Patriotic dog, some ornaments and a candle set on the color blue......

In the larger one, is a Patriotic bird, a candle set on red, one set on blue and more ornaments.....

And here they are under the chair......

Next to the chair is my lighted branch Tree.....

I decorated it with red, blue and silver ornaments....

Another amazing creation of my FB friend Angela's on the left side and a cupcake dish from The Christmas Tree Shop on the right....

I also used the other Patriotic dish cloth that my friend Anne Marie gifted me....

I hung this plate, that I bought for 99 cents at Salvation Army, on the wall.....

And that completes my Tour of the Living Room all decked out for the Patriotic Summer Holidays.....

It will stay this way until the week after the 4th when I will change it over to my "Under the Sea" Beach theme for the remainder of the Summer....

In my next post, on SATURDAY, for Saturday Snippets , I will be sharing Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, all decked out for the Summer in her Patriotic finery....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY......

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
