I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Thanks so much, Linda!!!

Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!

Yesterday, on Sunday, I helped out with a Trunk and Treat at our church which was jointly sponsored by the Community Group at my Parish, that I belong to, and the Laflin ( the town where the church is located in) Recreation Board.....

May I say that I have never been to a Trunk and Treat in my life as my sons are in their 40's and were able to trick or treat the old fashioned way by going door to door in the neighborhood....

The Trunks set up in the church parking lot...

The Fire department, which is located right across from the church, came out and brought their 2 fire trucks for the kids to see....

It was a beautiful day too!!

I took a few pictures when they were setting up their trunks.....

This was the Laflin Library's Trunk....

My friend Carol, her grandson Bradley and Nancy, the Librarian at the Library.....

 We loved Father Alex's costume.....

 He is a "Ceiling Fan"....

Once we got it, we all laughed hysterically!!!   LOL!!!

Father Alex is doing something there sitting in the chair......

About 80 kids signed up between the town and the our parish.....

Inside the Parish Center, there were games set up.....

Guessing how many candies in the jar....

Guess the weight of both pumpkins......

Prizes were awarded for the Winners....

Candy corn bowling......

Halloween crafts......

Jack O Lantern corn hole.....

Each kid received a pumpkin to decorate with stickers......

We bought the pumpkins from the Amish Farmer that sets up stands every Friday in the Mall by me for $1 each......

There was a DJ.....

Coloring sheets and crayons.......

We served pizza which is what I helped serve.....

The kids loved the dance floor.....

There were prizes for the best costume and the best trunk.....

It was a lot of fun for everyone.....

The church and the Recreation Board always did their own Halloween parties and this was the first time that they joined forces to host a party and have a Trunk and Treat together....

Both joined together for an Easter Egg Hunt in the Spring but that was when Joe was ill so I could not be part of that...

I think next year, we should all wear costumes and offer prizes for adult costumes too!!

We will be joining together again for a Christmas party for the children of the parish and the town.....

I am looking forward to that one too!!

I have been able to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones because of being part of the Community Group at my parish.....

And it is good for me to keep busy too!!!

In my next post on THURSDAY, I will be sharing some of the amazing Fall Foliage here in NEPA!!

It seems this year, the changing colors of the leaves put on a spectacular show!!

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on
