Click HERE if you missed that post!!
Thanks so much, Ramona!!
Please stop by and link up to this wonderful party!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
Joe and I went to a Home and Garden Show at our Arena on Saturday....
I used to go to every one that was held around the area but I have not gone in years....
There was a lot of food stands there which surprised both of us and of course, I zipped right past them as I have no interest in anything related to food...
I did buy something and intend to use it only as a decorative piece...
A Chopping board hand carved from Olive Wood.....
The wood grain is gorgeous....
And it was only $15!!
I wouldn't have the heart to use it for chopping.....
On Sunday, I went to a Designer Purse Bingo to support my niece Caitlin's Senior Class...
I won a door prize which was a bottle of lotion!!
Better than nothing and I had a wonderful time with family!!!
We will be watching out Grand pups for a few days....
More pup pictures.....
Faye using her toy as a pillow when sleeping by my feet.....
Azumi sleeping on one of the ottomans....
And this was the both of them this morning after we woke up on the sofa with Mimi while I was trying to work on this blog post!!!
Faye on the ottoman and Azumi right next to me in the sofa....
Yes, she is sleeping....
Big Yawn!!!
Now you know why it took so long to get this post up!!!
I decorate the Living Room in a red and gold color theme for Valentine's and Heart Month!!!
I have 3 Trees in the Living Room decorated for Valentine's.....
The 7 foot slim Tree stays up year round and I decorate it for the different Holidays and Seasons....
This how it looked decorated for Christmas.....
I stripped it down to the lights and added a set of clear acrylic rose lights....
I then added 2 different types of garland.....
A gold and white beaded one and a red heart one....
Then I started to add ornaments....
Many years ago, I bought several packages of red and gold glittered rose ornaments at Big Lot's after Christmas...
The gold cherubs were bought at Micheal's many years ago after Christmas at 90% off....
They were 19 cents each!!!!
These are some of the ornaments that I made over the years......
The Tree is topped with a bow made from red velvet ribbon, embossed with roses.....
Hearts hang from a hook in the ceiling in the corner that was used for a swag lamp.....
We will take a closer look and let the pictures do the talking....
I also decorate the platform that the Tree stands on ....
For Valentine's, I covered the platform with a vintage tablecloth with red roses on it......
You may remember that I bought this Tree Collar for under $8 on Clearance after Christmas at Big Lot's.....
In my last post, I shared how I covered one half of the Collar with anaglypta paintable wall paper and trim instead of painting it white...
I decided to keep this half as is.....
I figure I can use it for my Patriotic Tree and for my Autumn Tree as I use red with both of them.......
And here is the platform, decorated for Valentine's......
To the left.....
A floral arrangement I did a long time ago for a Harvest Tea Tablescape using red velvet roses and gold leaves......
A cherub and heart shaped candy boxes that I embellished....
Valentine's Bearington Bears....
"Lover Boy"
"Love Bug" and "Cutie"....
"Hottie and Thief of Hearts"....
A "Love" sign and an embellished candy box......
A red rose light set is displayed on the platform....
On the right side....
Another arrangement and candy box.....
A gold glittered lighted branch tree.....
A Valentine's postcard of a Mail Man delivering Valentine's....
My nieces gifted me this beautiful red cardinal globe for Christmas a few years back.....
Another candy box I filled with roses and a Dollar Tree Valentine's Mail sign that I embellished last year.....
"Nuts About You"
A Bearington Bear in a Squirrel costume....
And that is the large Tree in the Living Room this year....
The second Tree in the Living Room decorated for Valentine's
Is a gold Tinsel Tree on top of the TV entertainment center.....
We will also take a look at how I decorated the area around it.....
A Valentine's bottle, a red mercury glass vases. red and gold glittered roses and one of a set of 3 figurines.....
The tree is decorated with a bow made from red and gold shimmery ribbon on top and white baby's breath.....
And red and gold heart ornaments
A Valentine's postcard and another figurine.....
Red velvet bows are attached to the aqua mercury glass candle holders.....
I draped red tinsel garland with hearts on it that I bought in Dollar Tree around the top and wove a set of battery operated lights around it.....
The 3rd Tree is a 4 foot Tree in an urn that I also left up after Christmas.....
And for Valentine's.....
I left the gold tinsel garland on the Tree after stripping it down after Christmas and added a red heart one.....
I made another bow from the same ribbon that I used for the larger Tree as a topper....
I left the red finial from Christmas on top of the Tree and added red heart picks.....
Again, I will let the pictures do the talking....
On a marble topped table.....
It took me 4 days to change the Living Room over from Christmas to Valentine's....
Final Winter/Valentine's Tree Count
Tree # 10
Tree # 11
And Tree # 12!!!
Yes, 12 Trees decorated for Winter/Valentine's....
In my next post on THURSDAY, I will be completing my Room by Room Tour of my house decorated for Winter/Valentine's and will be sharing the rest of the Living Room.....
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Debbie, you amaze me. What a house of love!
ReplyDeleteHi, Debbie. I really love that red rose table cloth---normally I'm not a roses type of person...but that is so vintage, love it! Sandi
ReplyDeleteAs adorable as ever! I think I see every post, but somehow I do not remember that you covered the metal tree "skirt". I have two small red metal collars myself and I really like that idea. They were okay red, but I think I will cover them in something special next year! I use them in my guest room that I decorate for the grandkids and I am sure I can turn them into something more whimsical! Thank you for the fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteWe went to a Home and Garden show in Cleveland just 3 weeks before we ever heard the "C" word (that's covid). I never was off work when they were going on before and was really looking forward to going. I was disappointed at the few garden/landscape displays, they had a few tiny houses that made me realize right away I was not a tiny house person. The lines for anything "home and garden" were very long and 90% of the show was vendors like in a flea market. There was one vintage furniture booth that had a table of dishes from estate sales and I found some chintz snack plates and matching cups. But it was a steep admission prices for "garage sailing".
I left out that, being a small town old lady, I was surprised by the booths that sell alcohol more than the ones that sell food! We also went to the Car Show the week before and I was kind of stunned by the giant beers for outrageous prices that everyone was carrying around there. I guess I really am a rube.
ReplyDeleteLove your valentine decor. I put up a heart shape wreath on the door but that is about it. Valentine trees are so pretty. I cannot remember the last time I went to a home and garden show. I do love to go antiquing now and again. Your olive board is beautiful! I would have grabbed that myself. We use a lot of carving boards here at home. We are liking charcuterie meals lately, with cheese and fruit added.
ReplyDeleteYou decorated the tree so pretty for Valentine's Day Debbie. I love the handmade ornaments you made for the tree. I hope you have a nice weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI like the trees. Thanks so much for linking up at the Unlimited Link Party 100. Shared.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, your Valentine's Day trees are so pretty! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine's trees are gorgeous! I love all the bright red and glittery hearts and decorations. And, as always, Faye and Azumi are adorable! What sweet little friends! Azumi looks exactly like our little Shih Tzu, Isabel, who died in 2019 (at the age of 16). We still miss her! Thank you for sharing this post in the Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-Up 53.
