Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
I am now posting 3 times a week !!!
I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....
Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the rest of the Dining Room for Valentine's along with a few crafts I did....
In my last post, I shared a Valentine's Dessert and Cocoa Bar on the buffet...
And now for a few Personal Notes...
I ordered some flavored Coffees and Hot Cocoa mixes not long ago from a local company from Danville, Pa., Java Momma, through an online party that my niece Renae had ....
I thoroughly enjoyed the Apple Strudel Coffee....
And the Chocolate Truffle Hot Cocoa.....
I am looking forward to enjoying the other products that I bought...
My niece Renae's niece Jess is a distributor ....
If interested, click HERE for Jess's FB site, Java Potions.....
We had a 2 day cold snap....
It was minus 1 degree this morning when we woke up but by the end of the week, temps. in the 50's are predicted.....
What a crazy Winter it has been.....
It was the perfect weather to make a nice pot of Chicken Bone Broth soup....
I give most of it away as Joe is not a big Soup Eater....
Putting it in mason jars makes it easier for transport!!!
I give some to both my sons who have enjoyed it since my Dad used to make it and gift me some and then taught me how to make it....
I also sent a jar and a bag of noodles over to my neighbor Ed.....
You may remember that Ed was kind enough to gift Joe this Invicta Watch in appreciation for things that Joe does for Ed....
Yesterday, he came over with one for me in appreciation for the food I am always sending over to him and for taking care of his Slope in the Summer...
We are very Blessed to have such wonderful neighbors....
So true is this adage....
I also made some egg salad with the remainder of the dozen eggs that I have had in the fridge since the week between Christmas and New Years....
Today, I will be picking up where I left off on my Tour of the Dining Room decorated for Valentine's and Heart Month!!
I previously shared the buffet and the curio next to it.....
So we will pick up with the Hutch next to the small curio.....
The top of the Hutch....
A Valentine's Heart, bottle and card.....
The picture in the frame is of my Paternal Grandparents.....
A Love sign and a Valentine's pull tab book....
I left the red transferware and red ruby dishes in the Hutch....
Next to the Hutch......
I like to hang decorations on the vintage window divider between the Living Room and Dining Room.....
I embellished this Dollar Tree sign last year....
I decided to change this wreath....
By adding this one that I bought at Dollar General for $1.....
To it......
And hung it here....
Along with another sign....
Below the divider is a Victorian feather Tree....
I decorated it with pink and gold hearts.....
I placed the Tree on a cake pedestal.....
I bought this Valentine's envelope in Dollar Tree a few weeks ago....
I did a bit of "dabbling".....
I embellished it with venice lace, hearts, ribbon flowers.....
Hearts and a Valentine's card......
I hung it in the window divider on this side....
Along with a heart I made many years ago....
On the floor in front of the Tree.....
My 7 foot pencil thin Tree, now decorated for Valentine's......
It looked like this for Christmas......
I stripped it down to the lights and the white tinsel garland.....
I topped it off with a floppy bow made out of 2 ribbons....
Floppy so it can fit under the soffit.....
The Tree is decorated with ornaments that I bought over quite a few years.....
And some that I have made over the years.....
You may remember that I bought a Tree Collar in Big Lot's after Christmas for under $8
Since the 2 Trees I want to use it for are in the corner, I can use each half for each Tree......
I wanted to spray paint one half of it white....
Until I checked what I had in my Craft Room Stash.....
And I found this roll of Anaglypta Paintable Wall Paper that I bought at a yard sale about 20 years ago.........
You can see the textured pattern on it....
I used Modge Podge to attach it to the Tree Collar and then trimmed it with trim, also from my stash, around the edges....
I am happy with the way this came out and how it looks with the Tree....
Next to the Tree is a marble topped plant stand....
A Valentine's Heart Candy Box that I embellished many years ago sits in a vintage milk glass compote bowl....
I hung hearts from the Home Interiors sconces....
And added a few more to the shelf under the picture titled "May I play"....
In the corner by the Kitchen....
Is the larger curio....
Next to it on a marble topped pedestal table is the Funeral Basket that I decorate for each Holiday and Season....
I left the white branches in it after Christmas and just added a few pink ones.....
On the table....
I also bought this Valentine's sign in Dollar Tree a few weeks ago....
I "married" the 2 together after dry brushing some ivory paint on the wood bead heart....
And added some ribbon flowers, hearts and a red bow sticker....
I then framed it out with gold beading....
And I hung it here on the faux window between the Dining Room and the Kitchen....
More hearts boxes that I embellished.....
One other Sign that I recently purchased at Dollar Tree.....
I also dabbled with a bit....
I added some trim, hearts and ribbon flowers.....
This one I think I will hand in my Craft Room or I can even use it in the Dining Room during the year.....
Winter/Valentine's Tree Count
It took me 3 days to change over the Dining Room from Christmas to Valentine's....
Tree # 8
And Tree # 9
I hope you enjoyed this room tour of my Dining Room decorated for Valentine's and Heart Month!!!
In my next post on TUESDAY I will be sharing how I decorated the Living Room for Valentine's and Heart Month in a red and gold theme....
I will begin with this half of the room....

So pretty! I love your cocoa bar. I recently purchased from Java Mama as well and I loved the coffee!!
ReplyDeleteWow, my computer is in the mood to let me comment, so I will just say WOW! You have been just as busy as Christmas...I guess you have the Valentine's gene, too. So much love and lace....fun photos, and that cocoa really looks nummy. Hugs, and have a great week, Sandi
ReplyDeleteOH gosh, so pretty. I love pink and lace and your house is prettier than a box of chocolates! What fun to try the new coffees and beverages. A nice treat on a cold day!
ReplyDeleteWe eat a ton of eggs. My husband doesn't think it is breakfast without eggs. And now that he retired, plenty of time for breakfast. We put grandkids on the bus in the morning and I think they need a hot breakfast before school. Most want eggs like grampa, but one is a pancake man. I have figured I can make one pancake with 2 over full tablespoons of pancake mix and 2 scant tablespoons of water. I have tried making more and freezing or reheating or even toasting, but it is just as easy to quick fry a pancake, then do the eggs. The rising prices really hit me until I found a friend who has very prolific hens. She sells them for only $3 a dozen and they not only taste better than store bought, they are huge, many with double yolks. I am spoiled now. She even delivers when she brings her daughter into town for dance class. Can't beat that!
I love all your Valentine's Day decorations! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a passion for decorating, Valentines Day certainly is something special out your way.
ReplyDeleteHappy decorating!
