I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

An Evening in Winter with SNOW!!!!

 Welcome to Winter in NEPA!!

We FINALLY had some SNOW!!!

First, I want to Thank Angel, over at Sew Crafty Angel, for featuring my post,  My One Little Word for 2016: Wellness!, from last week's Wake Up Wednesday Link Party!!
Thanks so much to Angel and all the other hostesses of Wake Up Wednesday for the feature!!

Please stop by and link up to this terrific party!!

A long time ago, I used to watch a Decor Show hosted by Lynette Jennings.

In one episode, she spoke of the let down after Christmas when all the Holiday decorations and lights are taken down and all that is left, especially if you live in the northern areas, is the cold and dark of Winter.

She did an episode on Winter decorations, both outside and inside the home.

Ever since , I have been decorating for Winter.

If you missed my post on how the outside of our townhouse looks now that it is decorated for Winter.......
And some of my Winter decorations......
 Please click HERE.......

We had some snow showers during the day when I took the photos in the post mentioned above but in the evening, a snow squall moved through the area and dumped about 2-3 inches of snow where I live!!!
Now I am one of those crazy people who love Winter and l LOVE SNOW!!
No, I do not ski but I used to love to sleigh ride. I lived on a hill and we would go sleigh riding every time it snowed, especially at night.

I realized as I got older that the road department in the town I grew up in did not take care of the roads that good since I was always able to sleigh ride for days after a snow fall!!!

Joe now delivers Mail in that town and apparently nothing has changed!!

I now live on a hill twice the size as the one where I grew up and my sons were never able to sleigh ride down our road because it was always plowed and taken care of to the point of being bare!! You ROCK, Wilkes Barre Twp. Road Department!!

But they were able to take their saucers and fly down several hills in our development and they still talk about the good times they had doing so!!

A Snowfall at night has always been magical to me!!
So I grabbed my coat and camera and went outside to take some photos of my Winter Outside decorations......

The Front Porch......
They brighten up the otherwise deary Winter nights.......

 My new Snow Man Wreath......
Looking toward the Shopping Center on the side of our Development......
Those are the lights behind Lowes in the distance!!
    The Railing......
A lighted Snowflake hangs int he middle......

The flower bed under the Living Room window......

  My tomato cage Topiaries......
Looking out from the front porch........
 My park bench......
 See the snow??????
So that is how the front of our house will look every evening until the end of Feb.
Do you decorate for Winter and brighten up to the long Winter months????

WHY NOT?????

I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
