ANNOUNCEMENT
I am now posting 3 times a week !!!
I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY
With the beginning of Fall, the HOLIDAY SEASON starts for me....
I
consider the Holiday Season from September until after Easter as I
decorate for all the Holidays and Seasons in between those months....
So I usually have a lot to share....
As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....
Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the Powder Room for Halloween using pink and black....
In my last post, I shared my Halloween Tree and the rest of the Halloween decorations in the Dining Room.....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....
Thanks so much, Bev!!
Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!
And now for a few Personal Notes...
Update of my Journey toward a Healthier Life....
This was me last week ....
Those jeans are now too baggy on me!!
Joe took these pictures today as I was able to fit into the next lower size jeans and more clothes that I could not fit into for over 10+ years!!
Never thought I would allow a picture to be taken of me without a jacket or sweater on again but I am getting a waist back!!!!!
And fitting into tons of clothes that I was going to give away because I could not fit into them for 10+ years!!!!
I feel so much better now and have tons of energy!!
So this is me at my highest weight before......
And this is me, 41/2 months into my journey and 28 pounds less....
I only lost 3 pounds so far this month but as I can fit into more clothes, I know I am losing inches from walking and riding my bike and maybe gain weight in muscle mass which is why the weight loss in pounds is slow.....
But I will keeping going!!!
The other day, we had high winds and rain but Joe insisted on taking one of the big Penguin's umbrellas that we gave to Jim and Danielle when we went to take the pups out.....
First, I thought he was going to turn into Mary Poppins and become air born....
Then the umbrella blew inside out....
Then as he was struggling to try to right it, all the spokes fell out!!!
Did I mention that I was laughing so hard I almost choked????
Yep!!
This is what was left of a big golf umbrella.....
We replaced it with another one we had and I think Joe learned not to bother with an umbrella when it is that windy!!
LOL!
Who needs to go to the Mountains to go Leaf Peeping when you see this view every time you leave your house and come home?????
These are pictures from our morning walk with the grand pups this morning!!
Joe and Miss Faye!!
Some close ups ....
And this is our ride down the hill from Jim and Danielle's house and up the hill to ours!!
The beautiful trees by Wilkeswood's playground!!
At the bottom before you drive up our hill....
Driving up our hill......
And the Tree across our Court from us in our neighbor's yard......
Happy Fall!!
Last year, I saw this picture on Pinterest!!!
Now, I have added some Halloween decorations to my normally pink and black color themed Powder Room but this made me want to decorate in the Powder Room a bit more....
In this post, I am going to share what the Powder Room looked like before I decorated it for Halloween and how just a few simple additions changes it....
We will start to the left when you walk into the room....
The room has a Victorian, vintage style...
I made a few changes for Halloween....
I added this half pumpkin that I embellished....
On top of the medicine cabinet normally...
Now with a black and white and a pink pumpkin.....
On the side of the medicine cabinet before....
Before.....
Decorated for Halloween....
Before....
Now....
Before.....
Now....
You may remember the pumpkin that I made recently.....
And Snow Buddies for Halloween....
A prerequisite of what is coming for Christmas and Winter.....
Before....
Now...
A silver mercury glass pumpkin that I embellished.....
I kept the estagere the same.....
Except for the addition of a crow on top of the mirror....
On the small tiered table next to the estagere....
And now for Halloween.....
Remember the mirror I bought in Big Lot's a few weeks ago....
Just a few spiders...
Before.....
For Halloween....
A Skeleton Bride....
The other side.....
A Skeleton Groom.....
For Halloween......
Before...
For Halloween.....
Before.....
For Halloween....
Last year, I bought these pumpkins at Dollar Tree.....
And I embellished them.....
A Skeleton Bride and Groom....
Before......
With a bit of Halloween.....
I painted these Dollar Tree pumpkins pink and embellished them many years ago!!!
Before....
Now....
A Dollar Tree spider's web with butterflies bought at Michael's a few years back!
Just a few changes.....
Made such a big difference.....
And on the door to the Powder Room......
A wreath I made a long time ago......
And a Dollar Tree sign.....
In my next post, on
TUESDAY, I will be sharing how Nelson Crest is decked out for Halloween this year.....
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on TUESDAY!!

Please take some time to visit these terrific hosts and all those joining in on the fun!
I do like the pink and black together. That tree you spotted is charming, too. You look great. I am glad you are doing so well on your program. I miss the mountains of PA this time of year. We could see seven counties from our house in Bradford County. It was spectacular this time of year. Also, all along the Susquehanna River is gorgeous, too. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYou look AMAZING!!! What a difference! You look like a new woman! And I love the fashion show. All the outfits are so flattering! You really are on the right path for you and your health. The trees are gorgeous! All those fall colors, my favorite season. We drove down to Columbus yesterday and I told my daughter that I think we picked the peak leaf color date of the year. I took so many photos with my phone, I had to download them tonight.
ReplyDeleteYour pink and black bathroom is always a favorite of mine, regardless of the season. It is really outstanding at Halloween!
Fabulous on those new old jeans! I can especially see your loss in your face. Love all the photos -- and how you do your house in every single room!
ReplyDeleteAlways so fun. Great job in your new healthier you!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to see what you've been up to, Deb! 28 pounds is HUGE congratulations! Losing weight and making healthier choices is not easy so I'm really proud of you. It's such a big deal! LOVE all the pink touches and pumpkins you used in the powder room too. They're so pretty! Thank you for sharing your leaf peeping posts too. We totally have to make up our own Fall in Florida so it's always fun to see the colors change. I can't believe you get that gorgeous view every day! Hugs, CoCo
ReplyDeleteOk, so I was all ready to comment and fawn all over about the stunning bathroom color combination when I saw the pictures of YOU!!! Amazing!! You look fabulous. You should put your pretty self on the blog more often.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie - congrats on the continued weight loss - and you looked especially good without the jacket - I can definitely see a waistline! Also loved all the Autumn/Fall colours in the trees around your home - we're coming into Spring and seeing the flowers blooming, which is always lovely after all the Winter gloom.
ReplyDeleteMy post today is Pink. http://myjourneyback-thejourneyback.blogspot.com/2022/10/if.html?m=1
ReplyDeleteAW, Debbie, the best part about this post is you and your health improvements. Wow, I know my Fall clothes are pretty loose on me as well, hopefully we can keep going on healthy foods. Once you purge the dang sugar/carbs from your system it's so much easier. Halloween candy will be a no-no---here this year---we never get many treaters anyway. Hugs, Sandi
ReplyDeleteYou have such a pretty collection of decorations in your powder room! It's a room that many people don't bother to decorate. Kudos on your weight loss success. Thank you for sharing this post in the Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-Up 38.
