Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
ANNOUNCEMENT
I am going to start posting 3 times a week starting TODAY, TUESDAY September 13th...
Shorter posts might be a bit easier for me to do so after this post, I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY
With the beginning of Fall, the HOLIDAY SEASON starts for me....
I
consider the Holiday Season from September until after Easter as I
decorate for all the Holidays and Seasons in between those months....
So I usually have a lot to share....
I have been told my posts are too long and some computers that are not updated have a hard time loading all the pictures...
So I will be doing shorter posts but 3 times a week instead of only 2...
Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the Front Porch and Yard for Fall.....
But first,
In my last post, I shared the 6th installment in my Series, "What's in Your Hutch/Curio?" sharing what I have in my China Cupboard in the Den.....
And now for a few Personal Notes...
I have been busy getting the Living Room ready to decorate for Fall....
On Sunday, I changed over the Spring/Summer Drapes and curtains over the the Fall/Winter ones....
Here is what the change over looks like....
Spring/Summer....
Fall/Winter....
I pulled back the ivory lace curtains until we take the air conditioner out of the window....
Now....
The front door window with the Spring/Summer peach lace curtains ....
And now for Fall/Winter....
Yesterday, I worked on packing all my "normal" decor away , cleaned and replaced the Summer lace linens with the gold chenille Fall/ Winter tablecloths and runners....
I will start decorating the living Room for Fall today.....
Last Friday, I packed away all the Summer Front Porch decor and the Yard Garden Art, cleaned the Front Porch , dried out the Summer outdoor mat and packed it away and then decorated for Fall with a bit of Halloween on Saturday....
The Front Porch went from looking like this for Labor Day.....
To this.....
Decorated for Fall with w bit of Halloween!!
This is how it looked on Friday, after I stripped everything down.....
I dried out the outdoor mat that I use for the Summer which was soaked from the 6.25 inches of rain we got last week.....
I also pulled out all of those spindly looking marigolds....
I sent Joe on the hunt for orange and yellow mums....
He bought these for only $5 a piece in Ocean State Job Lot!!!
2 Yellow...
And 3 rust/ orange ones.....
Perfect size and price!
I moved this black urn from the center of the porch railing over here, leaving the red geraniums inside of it for now as they are doing well and added a Fall Shovel to the urn....
I will be replacing those geraniums eventually with one of those orange mums....
This side of the Porch.....
On the wall.....
I placed one of my faux pumpkins that I have had for many years into this pot ......
And for this year, I moved the Fall topiary that I made out of tomato cage many years ago to this side of the Porch....
In past years, it has been all over the Porch, in the flower bed under the Living Room window and last year, it was on the park bench!!
The terrcotta Jack O Lantern was bought at a church flea market a very long time ago!!
I hung the wreath I made last year on the front door.....
I still want to freshen up the red truck sign in the middle of it as the Sun faded it a bit....
And of course, I hung some Fall plaques on the weeping mortar of the wall....
I did change up things a bit from last year....
I just had to keep Joe's Pittsburgh Penguins plaque up as Hockey Season is starting soon and he is an employee for the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins AHL Team.....
I moved the mailbox over here and filled it with some faux Fall flowers....
Last year, I made several bows with green and red truck ribbon that I had .....
The leaf wreath was bought at the Bloomsburg State Fair many years ago!!!
The scarecrow sign was a flea market find and the metal sign was also bought many years ago at the Bloomsburg Fair.....
I made this out of a children's garden rake....
I replaced the red Summer chair cushions with the ones I had prior to buying the red ones which are perfect for Fall.....
On the table between the chairs....
I bought this Jack O Lantern in Wegman's a few years back.....
I placed it in a wood crate that Joe pulled out of our garbage dumpster that a neighbor had discarded....
My early Fall flag which in October, I will be replacing it with a pumpkin one.....
On this side of the Porch.....
In the corner.....
I added a burlap deco mesh bow to the top of the tree in the corner along with a set of orange LED lights and placed a scarecrow mail cover on the mailbox on the side railing.........
In October, I will replace the cover with a pumpkin one....
I did leave the marigolds in the small pot here.....
I left out my orange lanterns and placed more faux pumpkins and gourdes on the table....
I attached Fall garland to the Porch railing along with more orange LED lights....
With faux Indian corn hanging in the center....
The small Jack O Lantern also was bought at a flea market....
I planted the yellow mums in each of the square pots which I moved to each side of the railing....
And I added a Corn yard stake from Dollar Tree to them.....
They were getting too big and bushy.....
I moved my chippy Angel into this flower bed for the Winter.....
When the coleus......
And the impatiens die out, I will just replace them with greenery that Joe will cut off trees on the side of our road for the Winter.....
This year, I just tucked 2 Dollar Tree yard stakes into the pots....
And placed a faux pumpkin in front the the Angel.....
The front flower bed on top of our slope....
I did move some of the some planters filled with impatiens into the flower bed for a pop pf color.....
I put out my Fall mini flags....
A faux pumpkin......
I pulled out the tall sparse marigolds and planted smaller ones from the back yard for the time being in this red watering can.....
I tucked another yard stake into it .....
When the marigolds die out , I will put greenery inside the watering can for the Winter.....
The park bench.....
I added 2 burlap bows to the lantern.....
I planted one of the orange mums in the larger black pot....
Added some faux pumpkins and gourdes and kept the owl, that is part of a set of 3 that was gifted to me by my neighbor last year, out.....
I left the marigolds and red geranium in the small black pot for now....
I placed the 2 remaining orange mums on each side of the bench......
I will eventually plant one in the small black pot and one in the black urn by the front porch......
But for now, I think they look good on each side of the bench.....
Another Fall mini flag....
And another faux pumpkin.....
You can see I have another mini flag on the back side of the bench so it can be seen from our parking lot.....
As plants die out as it gets colder and I will replace them with greenery for the Winter and change a few more things to Halloween like putting lights inside the Jack O lanterns, I will share that with you also......
In my next post on THURSDAY, I will be completing my Series, "What's in Your Hutch/Curio? with the 7th installment which will be the Hutch in the Living Room......
So please remember that I am posting 3 times a week now on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays.....

Debbie, you decorated your front porch so pretty for fall. I love the orange colors, the mums and the pumpkins. I can't wait to see your photos of fall foliage. Enjoy the week Debbie.
ReplyDeleteAs always, Debbie, your porch is grand and lovely -- so ready for fall! Meanwhile I have been offline for a couple of weeks and know I won't be able to catch up, but hopefully now I can keep up! Happy week!
ReplyDeleteGosh, it looks great! I'm amazed with all you accomplished. I am working on my porch very slowly, lol. I would love to live across the street from you!
ReplyDeleteLove the Fall. You are such fun to visit. I am glad you are going to post more!
ReplyDeleteLook at you getting all ready for fall! It looks wonderful. I pulled my totes down with all my fall decor in them earlier in the week but have yet to put out one single thing yet.
ReplyDeleteFUN POST, seems like we were just planting seeds. Your flowers and bushes all look like they survived our miserable summer. I can't wait for a frost, so I can get outside without bees/wasps! Love all the orange....pfft, to green and gray pumpkins!...LOL.
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I love your fall porch accents! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteI barely decorate compared to you, but it's done, and I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour porch looks great! I love that terra cotta jack-o-lantern. The lights look so good when the suns went down. Thanks for sharing on Crafty Creators & Happiness is Homemade.
