I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Taking a Bit of a Break!!

Welcome!!!

Don't know if you noticed or not but I am taking a bit of a Break from posting!!!

This horrific heat and humidity, coupled with lots of rain this Summer is having both a physical and mental effect on me and I just needed to "chill" for a bit.......
The heat and humidity forces me to stay in the house with the shades drawn and the air conditioning blaring trying to stay cool......
The rain takes a toll on my physical well being because of my auto immune disease and arthritis along with the fact that I am in desperate need of a cortisone shot in my right knee and am not scheduled to receive one until the 23rd of this month.....

So I just needed to take a Break and "chill" a bit.....

I will be back with a new post on Thursday so I hope you will stop by!!

Hugs,
Deb

  3. Hope you feel better and you get relief from your injection. This weather has been brutal.

Just had my right hip replaced three weeks ago and am doing well. Gives me less anxiety about the knee replacements that I need to have.

  4. Oh I do understand, the heat and high humidity here has been bad and I can hardly breathe to walk outside for long. Hope you can get by until you can get your shot!

  5. The heat and humidity gets to be too. My sinuses kill me in this kind of weather. Yesterday our central air went out and will be at least a week for a new one to get installed! Take time for youself and hope your feeling better. It must be torture waiting to get the knee shot!
