Today is the beginning of Astronomical Fall even though I celebrated the beginning of Fall on September 1st.....

Since Meteorological Fall is the one that scientific weather data is based on, that is the one I go with!!

Plus it means the end of Summer which I can't wait for every year....

The humidity killed me this Summer so I am thrilled it is OVER....

Except for the rain this weekend, it looks like a great week of weather ahead.....

Perfect weather in my book.....

Today, I will sharing a few crafts and an Early Fall garden update and clean up......

In my last post, I finished up my Tour of the Living Room decorated for Fall in what I call an "Elegant Autumn" theme....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Fall Front Porch and Yard, as one of her features from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Linky Party!!!

 Thanks so much, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Since the weather has finally cooled down, I decided to make some Chicken Bone Broth Soup.....

We do not eat soup in the Summer because it is just too hot to do so ....

But with the rain coming with it being cooler and damp this weekend, I thought it would be perfect to have now....

Joe and I took out the air conditioners in the Den and in the Living room and I got those window cleaned.....

I have also been doing a bit of "dabbling" and crafting....

I did share these Dollar Tree velvet pumpkins in my last post that I embellished.....

These were a few pumpkins that I had in my stash so I also embellished them....

When I was unpacking my decorations, I came across this....

It is a pretzel container that I painted at the very end of the Season last year in anticipation of doing something with it this year....

Since I will be decorating the front of the house for Halloween this year, I decided to paint this face on it....

I will add some sand and a few rocks to it to weigh it down so it does not blow away and use it outside.....

You may remember that I bought this in Five Below.....

I wanted to use it to make the new Halloween wreath for my front door....

This is what I came up with using things that I already had.....

I had the pumpkins, the leaf garland and the small skeletons already....

I added some of the pine cones that I picked in our neighborhood......

I also had the spider web that I used in the center of it.....

I had the black and silver ribbon so I simply cut a few pieces and tied them in place around the wreath.....

I did buy the Jack O Lantern ribbon at Dollar General for $2.....

And used it to make a bow also using the black and silver ribbon....

I am happy with how it came out....

I did forget to show you what the front  of the house looks like decorated for Fall from our parking lot.....

I also added the pumpkin sign above the table as I did not have room for it in the Kitchen this year which is where it was displayed previously.....

I will be changing over the front of the house to Halloween next weekend.....

For the most part, the flowers in the back yard have seen there last days especially the impatiens whose leaves have turned yellow.....

But I do have to say that the Asters have really bloomed nicely this year....

I do love these light purple colored ones.....

I even had these bloom in the back of the yard where I do not think they ever did before.....

The deep purple ones are just starting to bloom....

The bees love them!

I can't wait until they are fully opened up.....

This Wandering Jew that Joe picked up on Clearance for $6 has really done well!!

It grew right down to the ground!

The new guinea impatiens are still putting on a show!!

As are some of the zinnias....

And the begonias are hanging in there too!!

I finally was able to do a bit of tending to the flower bed that I created by the Mailboxes of our Court.....

With the heat of the Summer, then the paving of our main road , then the paving of our Courts and then rain and temps. going up into the 90's in early September, I just could not get to it....

The plants in front are those deep purple asters....

This is another view of them.....

I did a bit of trimming, cutting back some spent perennials, weeding and then freshened up the mulch with a good raking.....

Here is where I cut back some Missouri Primrose and some asters that looked like they got burned from the heat or something....

The asters with the light purple flowers are starting to bloom.....

You can see the blooms better from this side.....

I did not cut back the columbine yet or the lamb's ear which are doing well.....

The Rose of Sharon tree that I transplanted here from my neighbor's yard last year has really taken off!!!

I cut back more perennials here and straightened the rock border....

Looking at it from the Court.....

Once the asters bloom here, I will be sharing how it looks again.....

And one more thing I want to share today is our walk this morning with the Grand Pups....

In previous posts, I mentioned that I had collected pine cones around our area and baked them so I could use them in the house and in wreaths.....

This is little Azumi's favorite tree.......

The branches come right down to the ground and almost form a tent like structure.....

She loves to sniff around under it!!!

The ground slopes down to the apartments below it.....

It is from this tree that I get the large long pine cones......

See them all up on the Tree????

And here is Azumi waiting for her sister, Faye, on the other side of that tree.....

Here they come......

 Time to walk back home.....

This is right across from their townhouse.....

 Gorgeous!!

And this is the view from the very top of the hill where you would enter the apartment complex where my sons Jimmy and Joey both live and you have to drive through to get to our development where we live......

Those are the roof tops of my townhouse development in the picture above as the Sun is burning off the rest of the Fog that was left....

And you can see the Interstate and the shopping center behind and to the side of us.....

The leaves are just starting to turn colors but you can see one tree that has a head start....

The orange tree off to the right in the picture is the tree that is across from me in my neighbor's yard!!!!

The Sun was setting the other night and was shining on it, illuminating it.....

It is just starting to turn....

But by the end of October, it will be a blaze of reds and oranges.....

And we are blessed to have that vision right outside of our Living Room window!!!!!

I will leave you today with a Sunset taken from out back yard as the Sun is barely making it around the the front of our row of houses right now.....
