Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the Front Porch for Halloween for the first time in over 20 years...

In my last post, I shared the rest of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween....

Today, I am going to be sharing how I decorated the front porch for Halloween for the first time  in over 20 years.....

Joe and my oldest son Joey finally convinced me to decorate the outside of our house after several years of egging me on.....

When my sons got older and stopped going Trick or Treating, the neighborhood changed with less and less children living here....

So I stopped decorating the front of the house for Halloween....

Over the last few years, we only have had about one or two Trick or Treaters......

Which is why I did not want to decorate for Halloween thinking why bother when no one would really see it....

Until Joey asked me why I decorate the inside of my house when not many people come to see it in person....

Point taken...

I then had several people on face book tell me that they also do not get Trick or Treaters but they still decorate for Halloween because they just love Halloween....

Point taken....

So I decided that I would spend as little money as possible and try to make what I could from what I already had.....

I think I did pretty good....

And now changed it over to Halloween!!!

Again, since many of you have questioned where I will be putting all the new things that I recently bought and made, I will be pointing them out.....

Fall

Halloween.....

I added creepy Halloween salad tongs from Dollar Tree to this pot....

I had previously used them in the Dining Room....

You may remember that I made this out of a water jug that I found behind our dumpsters.....

I moved the terra cotta Jack O Lantern elsewhere making room for the water jug here....

I moved the vintage mailbox here between the houses....

Changed out the Fall bow on top of the topiary for one I made out of 2 different ribbons from Dollar Tree....

And I added 4 large black spiders to it....

Bought at Dollar General for a buck a piece.....

Fall

Halloween

You can see I also hung a spider web from Dollar Tree bought ages ago from the mailbox.....

I bought this in Five Below for $5 to make a Halloween wreath for the front door!!

I used this ribbon from Dollar Tree, along with another ribbon that I had in my stash, to make the bow for the wreath.....

I also used things that I had in my stash and this is what I came up with....

 On the front door....

It is exactly the look that I was going for.....

I bought the Leaner sign next to the door at a Dollar Tree Plus for $5!!

After I took all these pictures, I bought a new outdoor mat at Ocean State Job Lot with a Crazy Deal Gift Card so it was Free!!!!

  Fall

 Halloween

 Fall

 Halloween

I had nothing for Halloween in the way of signs for the house....

So I started with this sign that I used previously in the Dining Room that Joe bought at 90% off in Big Lot's 2 years ago ....

I thought it would be perfect for out on the porch as it is made of wood........

I made bows out of 2 different Halloween ribbons I bought at Dollar Tree and hung one from the front porch light....

I found this sign at Gabes for only $7.99.....

I left this Pumpkin sign out that I hung out here after deciding not to use it in the Kitchen like I had for a few years....

After looking at these pictures, I realized that two things that I recently bought needed a bit of "something more"...

I went to Dollar Tree and picked up one more roll of Halloween ribbon and made 3 more bows....

Better!!!

I bought this in Big Lot's at 20% off and with a $5 off $15 coupon.....

Taking it down to under $11....

And this in Five Below for $5....

Hanging it here....

Adding 2 small bows to both of these items just made them pop, don't you think????

Oh Yeah!

Better!

Much better!!!

I sprayed everything with a coat of clear sealant to protect them from the elements...

I left the Jack O Lantern in the wood crate on the table.....

Fall

 Halloween

I took away the floral pillows that I had out for Fall and flipped the cushions to the striped side....

I also left out the black and white striped rug....

Fall

Halloween

I added some spider webs and a new bow to this tree that stays out here year round.....

And because I had enough ribbon left over to make one more bow, I added one to this wood post....

I put it on this table in the corner of the porch with an owl whose eyes flash red because of a motion sensor ....

I bought the owl years ago to ward off the squirrels in my back yard....

I swapped out the Fall mailbox cover for this one.....

How it looks from the other side....

I bought a new porch flag in Ollie's for $7.99 and had a 15% off total purchase coupon......

Fall

 Halloween

I left the leaf garland on the railing....

And added a few things to it for Halloween....

I bought this in Gabes for $10

And this in Dollar Tree for $1.25...

And I made these out of a faux pumpkin that broke in half.....

Fall

Halloween

I attached the skull lawn stake with zip ties, the pumpkin halves and the chain with wire .....

I moved the small terra cotta pumpkin here in front of the railing....

The marigolds are still hanging in there...

In the evening.......

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I did to change over the Front Porch from Fall to Halloween.....
