And now for a few Personal Notes...

I actually left the house and went out 2 days in a row......

On Tuesday, I went for my monthly hair cut!!

And today, we actually went on a shopping excursion....

We took a ride up to the area where Joe grew up, Hazleton, Pa.....

These are some pictures that I took of the mountains on the way....

The leaves on the Trees are well behind schedule with changing their colors......

This is a picture looking down at the Valley below.....

We went up to the Laurel Mall where there is a Boscov's store, which is a family owned department store with stores in Pa.and a few other states on the eastern seaboard....

 There is Joe......

Boscov's held a special Friends and Family Sale event where you purchased a ticket for $5 from a local charity and that was good for 25% off almost everything in the store.....

And I also did something I have been putting off for some time.....

I made my very first visit ever to a Hobby Lobby!!!

A former Kmart in this Mall was converted into a Hobby Lobby and I finally gave in and decided to see what all the hype is about.....

Okay.....

My mouth was agape for about the first 10 minutes!!!

It is double the size of the Michael's that is right next to my development.....

I literally could have spent a fortune in there but I did have to try to contain myself.....

This is what I bought......

I was thrilled that Christmas was already marked down to 50% off!!

I will definitely be going back there and watching for Christmas to be marked down even more.....

There are rumors about a Hobby Lobby coming to the area by me.....

That may be very bad if that happens because I can see me visiting there on a daily basis!!!

In my last post, I shared my Halloween Tree in the Dining Room.....

Click HERE if you missed that post......

Every year, I decorate Nelson Crest for Halloween.....

This year, I did add a few new things and switched some things around...

I am going to let the pictures do the talking....

 The side yard.....

 The upstairs balcony.....

The Front Porch......

The other side yard.....

I did add a few other decorations for Fall to the Den.....

I replaced 2 of the signs on the cupboard with 2 Fall ones....

And in this corner.....

I hung this Fall mini flag with blue in it.....

And I just love the picture on my Calendar for Halloween!!!

One other place that I did not share yet is the downstairs Hall.....

On the mirror in the hall....

 A wreath that I made....

And a Scarecrow that was bought at Dollar Tree that I embellished.....

And now that finishes the Tour of our house all decorated for Halloween and Fall for this Season!!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated this year....

In my next post, I will be sharing my annual Fall/Halloween Home Tour where I share both the outside and inside of our house room by room .....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  1. You have so much fun decorating your dollhouse! I love to see all the spooky treasures you use to celebrate the season!

I used to occasionally visit Hobby Lobby when I would drive the two hours to my daughter's house. That worked out well since time didn't permit me to stop every time I would go up for a visit LOL. Personally I think their every day prices are high, but if you can hit the right sales . . . Once I found a whole cart of metal signs that I was looking for all marked down to 2 and 3 dollars a piece. I have found a few other bargains like that over the years. They just opened one a town over from us, but I have not made it over there yet. Between babysitting during the week and the fact they are closed on Sunday (and you know, covid) it has saved me a lot of dollars so far LOL.

  2. Oops. Ignore that last. It posted too fast! I am glad you had a fun road trip -- the scenery is gorgeous! And the dollhouse is darling, filled with seasonal celebration! What fun!

  3. Hi Debbie - Nelson Crest looks "spooky" and more like the Amityville mansion. :-) What a great shopping trip you and Joe went on. I love Boscov's and we have one about 10 miles from us in Frederick, MD. I also LOVE Hobby Lobby but do not have one near me. The closest one is about 45 min. away. I go maybe twice a year which is probably a good thing. Can't wait to see your fall home tour.

  7. You've never been to a Hobby Lobby before? I'm shocked. They are incredible. I remember my first visit feeling so overwhelmed there was so much to look at. Your dollhouse is amazing!

  9. I love Hobby Lobby! They're building one near me, and I will be there way more than at Michael's when they open! I love that they are a Christian company, and even though they could make millions in profits over the year by opening on Sunday, they don't so their employees can go to church. It's amazing that a company today would put people over profit. Your doll house is huge and amazing! I love the little figurines in the yard! I think I forgot to come back and tell you that your witch potion table was my feature last week on Traffic Jam Weekend. Sorry about that! Thanks for sharing with us there and on Traffic Jam Weekend!
