 .

  Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you want, you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I will be sharing more Gothic Halloween vignettes that I created in my Dining Room.......

But first, I want to Thank Bev, over at Across the Blvd., for choosing my post, Fall Garden Update and Fall Foliage, as one of her features from last week's Snickerdoodle Create, Bake an Make Linky Party!!!

Thanks so much, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!!

In my last post, I shared more Fall Foliage, a Sunset and the front of our house lit up in the evening.............

Click HERE if you missed that post.....

In a previous post, I shared my Gothic Halloween Buffet in our Dining Room.......

And the top of the small curio next to it........

Click HERE if you missed that post......

For today, I will start where I left off in my last post......

Next to the small curio is the Hutch.......

For the 42 years I have been married, I have displayed this ceramic Haunted House on top of this Hutch for Halloween........

Our first Halloween after we were married, Joe bought this Haunted House for me from a woman he worked with who did Ceramics......

Hanging in the corner, is a Halloween Tussie Mussie that I made.....

The Pumpkin people are made by Yankee Candle and are tea light holders....

Joe cashed in some of his comp points when he used to frequent the Mohegan Sun Casino at Pocono Downs, which is about 10 minutes from our home, for these Pumpkin people for me.....

Joe bought this Witch Weather Vane in Target on clearance one year at 90% off!!

I do love this Haunted House!!

The Tombstones are actually candy containers that were filled with candy bones ( that I use in other displays) that I bought many years ago at Dollar Tree!!

New for this year, is this vignette on the side of the Hutch.....

Last year, I bought this Halloween tray on Clearance in Big Lot's......

I then had Joe pick up the other 2 signs at Dollar tree this year....

This lead me to move Sammy Skeleton over here and create a sort of Fortune Telling vignette.....

I usually have a large Victorian Doll displayed here on 2 hat boxes which I now covered with a vintage crocheted topper...........

I thought Sammy needed a hat so I made one from one of the paper mache cones that I use to make Tussie Mussies.....

Fits him perfectly, don't you think?????

And I borrowed Joe's black bow tie.....

Back in the beginning of August, I had Joe buy these 2 light up globes in Big Lot's......

The Fall one ended up being used in the Living Room and I wasn't quite sure what I would do with the Halloween one......

Then I thought it would make a great "Crystal Ball" so t speak for Sammy!!!

Behind Sammy is a Spider Web and "holding him up" is a Book called "Final Thoughts" about cemeteries whose Author I know.....

A Skull is held by a bony hand on his side.....

And another skull and a vintage styled Halloween box is on his other side........

I wonder what Sammy sees as he gazes into his Halloween Crystal Ball???????

A small mirror is placed under the ball to illuminate it more in the evening.....

In the corner on a round table is my spooky Halloween Tree........

I will be sharing this in my next post.....

On the shelf underneath my "May I Play?" Home Interiors picture.....

More of the Potion Bottles that I made a few years ago......

And a Skeleton Bride and Groom which are actually ornaments......

Over in the corner by the Kitchen is the other Curio.....

On top of the Curio......

A silver mercury glass owl.......

A Black Twig Tree .....

A Tombstone bought for $1.00 that I embellished a bit.....

And a Pumpkin that I also embellished!

On the side of the Curio is a Shelf......

Another silver mercury glass Owl that is part of a set bought at J.C. Penney bought after Christmas on Clearance.....

I draped a Fall leaf garland over the Curio.....

On the side of the Curio on a marble topped stand is my Funeral Basket that I decorate for different Holidays.....

I did it a bit differently this year......

I wrapped some black tulle like ribbon with silver spider webs on it bought at Dollar Tree a few years back around the handle and made a bow out of it at the top and tucked a black feather into it.....

This black with silver spider wed theme has been used through out the Dining Room......

The fabric on this Witch's Dress.....

And on this Pumpkin......

A Spider Web is also attached to the handle.....

I decorated the paper mache coffin using trims, crystals and I decoupaged a picture of a Skeleton on it.....

The antique Funeral Card and the cute Skeleton was gifted to me by my friend, Anne Marie, who inspired me to decorate for Halloween after I had given away a lot of my Halloween decorations once the boys had gotten older......

I will be sharing Anne Marie's home decorated for Halloween in a future post once she gets the pictures to me.....

Hanging on top of my faux window.....

Is another Halloween Tussie Mussie I made.....

On the cabinet that  my Dad made to match Joe's Grandmother's Dining Room set.....

Is my Edgar Allan Poe "Quoth the Raven Nevermore" Display......

I printed graphics and framed them.....

The clock that I embellished is set to Midnight......

A floral arrangement I did.....

A Creepy Typewriter, bought at Ross Dress for Less.......

"Once Upon a Midnight Dreary"

"Quoth the Raven Nevermore"

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Gothic Halloween decorations in the Dining Room.....

I had so much fun decorating this room for Halloween.....

In my Next post, I will be sharing my Creep Halloween Tree.....

And a few new ornaments that I made this year......

To add a bit more of a pop of color to the Tree.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  3. Absolutely spooktacular, Debbie. So much gothic cuteness going on here. You have some amazing pieces. I love the Halloween village and how wonderful you have had it for 42 years and the pumpkin guys are fantastic. I love Sammy. My daughter got a skeleton this year she named Samantha. Sammy is all decked out in his hat and what a great idea of a crystal ball. Can not wait to see more of your tree ? Those owls are too cute . Have a great rest of the week. Hugs, Melisa

  4. Really great decorations, Deb.. You have the best collections. I always love what you do with the Raven. Since the Cottage Witch isn't showing up this year, I really didn't do any Halloween decorations. I do miss it though. Your fall colors are gorgeous as they always are back in your area of the US..Stay well..xxoJudy
