Creepy Gothic Halloween Tree and Chandy, 2020

  Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I will be sharing my Gothic Halloween Tree in the Dining Room and how I decorated the chandy thus completing my Tour of the Dining Room for Halloween......

But first, I want to Thank Ann, over at The Apple Street Cottage, for choosing my post, Before and After Halloween Powder Room , as one of her features from last week's Party in your PJ's Link Party!!!

Thanks so much, Ann!!

Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!!

In a previous post, I shared my Gothic Halloween Buffet in our Dining Room.......

And the top of the small curio next to it........

And I also shared my Gothic Halloween vignettes in the Dining Room......

Keeping with a Gothic Halloween theme for the Dining Room, I decorated my silver Halloween Tree with some creepy Halloween ornaments.....

On the floor by the Tree, which is in the corner by the Dining Room.....

On a pedestal, is a pumpkin I made out of a roll of toilet paper......

Another Pumpkin that I made along with a mouse ( or a rat) and a bony foot on the floor........

I like to hang things in the vintage door window that I hung as a divider between the Living Room and Dining Room........

Some sweet Halloween signs and ornaments......

I wanted to add a bit more color to this Tree this year......

I had a pack of wood Owl Ornaments left over from last year when I made ornaments for my Fall/Halloween Tree in the Kitchen.......

So I turned to my favorite source of inspiration....Pinterest....... and found some pictures of some Owls painted in black, yellow and orange which are the colors that I was looking for to use on this Tree.....

When it comes to drawing, I am no artist but I think these will suffice......

I feel they did give the Tree a pop of color and a bit of whimsy to an otherwise creepy looking Tree...........

The Tree is topped off with a bow I made from 3 different ribbons.......

I tucked some black flower stems into each side of the Tree at the top......

I bought a lot of the Skull and Ghoul ornaments a long time ago at Michael's......

I took apart 3 different types of Skeleton garland bought at Dollar Tree and use them as ornaments......

The bony hand ornaments were party favors that I attached ornament hooks to hang on the Tree.....

I also threaded ornament hooks through small bats that are also party favors......

The ornaments that say Trick or Treat, Creepy and Spooky were bought at Michael's.....

There is a black leaf garland woven through out the Tree and a silver skull wired garland wrapped around the Tree......

There is a black lace Spider Web topper placed over a white tablecloth on the table that this Tree rests on and I made a Tree skirt from Halloween fabric that I made......

I wrapped a string of leaf lights bought at Dollar Tree around the bottom of the Tree.....

I made this vintage styled Halloween Basket from a peat pot intended for gardening.....

It is filled with candy corn......

In the center, is a silver mercury glass Pumpkin that I decorated with a bow and ribbons and embellished with orange sequin like trim......

Another peat pot that I made into a Halloween basket....

I added a Halloween bow to the top of the wall clock.....

And a cute tassel Witch .....

On a marble topped plant stand.....

A Bird Cage that I decorated for Halloween......

I placed it in a vintage milk glass compote bowl......

Creepy.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Halloween Tree and this corner of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween......

A little creepier in the evening.....

I also want to share how I decorated the chandy in the Dining Room......

I changed the lamp shades on the chandy from the floral ones that I use for Spring and Summer.....

To these that I embellished with trim, pink ribbon roses and beads......

I added silver Owl, Pine Cone and Leaf ornaments to the beaded garland and pink crystals that I already hung from the chandy......

And hanging in the center is a really spooky looking Bat with red eyes.....

And that completes my Halloween Tour of the Dining Room......

In my next post, we will be touring my other house decorated for Halloween.......

Nelson Crest.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

  8. Hi Deb! I feel like such an under achiever, lol! I put out exactly 1 Halloween decoration this year. And then the candles in it melted over onto my tablecloth. Gee whiz!
