 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the rest of the Kitchen with Snowmen and Cardinals for Winter....

In my last post on Saturday Snippets, I shared updated pics of our twin granddaughters and how Nelson Crest is decorated for Winter.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

In a previous post, I shared how I decorated the Hutch and the Tree in the Kitchen for Winter.....

So I will pick up where I left off over here by the door to the Den.....

On the side of the stove.....

I put a Winter arrangement in the grater planter and hung a Winter towel from it....

Valentine's towels hanging on the side of the stove....

Winter greenery added to my Mother's vintage Planter's Peanuts canister that holds my rolling pin collection....

A Snowman I made from cans....

 Above the stove.....

 I framed a picture from a calendar....

I kept out this beautiful piece with snowman on it that my FB friend Angela made and gifted me.....

Vintage rose potholders hung above the stove....

And Valentine's towels...

The counter to the side of the stove.....

See the little snowman head????

Winter towels and rugs.....

Where the Kitchen window was before we made the patio into the Den and removed it.....

I still treat it as a window.....

Large cookie cutters hung on the doors....

 I made the Winter swag.....

I also made the tea cup chandy.....

I hung bird houses on the fretwork on each side and hearts from the chandy.....

Snowflakes and tin hearts hang from the valance which I made from a tablecloth.....

I left up the hot cocoa signs from Christmas....

Something new that Joe picked up in Big Lot's after Christmas on clearance....

Originally $18.99 each but with a 20% off coupon stacked with a $10 of $40 coupon, these were only $3.45 a piece.....

They have a mercury glass look to them and I think they are perfect for Winter....

Cardinals and Snowman are the predominant features in my Kitchen Winter decor....

A Snowman holding a basket of hearts and a Jim Shore Angel ornament with red cardinals on it....

In the center is a cardinal crackle glass hurricane style vase with a red birdhouse on top of it.....

It lights up but i forgot to light it!!

In the corner of the counter.....

A big mouth snowman candy jar.......

With snowballs inside of it in diorama like style.....

I will be skipping over the Beverage Bar area because that will be featured in this Saturday's Snippets post....

Another framed calendar picture......

I hung this Winter wreath that I made on the door.....

On top of the refrigerator......

Again, done in a Snowman and Cardinal theme.....

A snowman tea pot, a bottle brush tree with red cardinals on it and a snowman figurine holding cardinals that was gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie.....

The large snowman was also a gift from Anne Marie.....

More cardinals......

And now we move around the room to the counter bar area.....

On the left side is my vintage laundry display.....

I left the greenery and vintage copper reindeer cookie cutter out and hung a Valentine's heart on the hook in the corner.....

You can see just how small this wall is......

The entrance to the Dining Room is on the left and the hall to the Living Room is on the right.....

I closed off the pass through from the Kitchen to the Living Room by creating a window effect here.....

The one thing that I am not is an Open Concept person when it comes to home design.....

I, personally, like cozy small rooms separate from each other....

I left up the garland from Christmas and redecorated it for Winter....

I used red and black plaid birdhouse and ball ornaments bought about 5 years ago in Big Lot's.....

Along with Dollar Tree owls and red reindeer that I bought on clearance in Dollar General last year.....

And red cardinals and snowflakes.....

The bows I made for the garland are made from red plaid and cardinal ribbons....

On the left side......

Home Interiors sconces with snowman heads from Dollar General hung on them and vintage red tole trays.....

I bought these red cardinal place mats in Ollie's last year and decided to use them on the counter bar as the lamp fits perfectly in between them....

Joe also bought these milk glass looking glass trees for $3.45 each at Big Lot's.....

I placed them on my red mercury glass candle holders....

A snowflake I made and a red and white vintage style pot holder hang on the shutters......

A red church ornament on top of a mason jar with a Winter scene inside of it.........

On the counter....

Peppermint and other candies are inside of the deer mug and small snowman tea pot.....

In the center is the stained glass lamp that was my late neighbor Elly's.....

Between the center spindles in the back.....

On the right side.....

Matches the other side.....

A sweet snowman tissue box and a big mouth deer candy jar that I put Rice Krispie bars or granola bars inside of for Joe and Joey....

Cough drops in this deer mug....

Another snowman hanging from the sconce on this side.....

And will you look at what these snowman heads do!!!!

 YES!!!

 They light up!!

 How cute is that!!!!

I like to hang a valance here as the hall and Kitchen are different colors....

I made the cafe curtain from the same tablecloth that the valances were made from....

A cardinal rug......

Joe keeps his snacks in the bucket on the stool and I placed a plastic tray on the bottom and keep our Winter cold medicine supplies there....

On the right side of the counter bar....

Winter signs.....

Another decorated Tree....

I topped the Tree off with one of the ornaments I bought in Big Lot's in October!!

The others were used up on the garland....

The Tree is decorated with small tin cardinal ornaments and white icicles.....

I placed it in a wood basket with a red cardinal on it and I got the birdhouse on the side of it for Free on the last day of a church flea market in the Summer.....

And there you have it!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated the Kitchen for Winter along with how I left out a few things from Christmas and bought Christmas items to use for Winter.....

In this week's Saturday Snippets, I will be sharing my Winter Hot Beverage Bar....
