New Patio Buys and Projects, 2023

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I am now posting TWICE  a week !!!

I will be posting on MONDAY and FRIDAY!

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be sharing a few New Buys for the back Patio...

In my last post, I shared my Early Spring Front Porch and Yard....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Thanks Dee, over at Granny's Grid, for choosing my Post, Bunny Land at Nelson Crest and a few More Easter Decorations, as one of her features fro the last Unlimited Link Party!!

Thanks so much, Dee!

Please stop by and link up to this great party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For Friday, Joey treated us to Norm's ( a Local place) Pizza using a gift card that he was gifted for Christmas from his Boss....

  Sicilian with bacon.....

And boneless Chicken Bites....

So good!!!

I made Ham Salad from the left over ham from Easter.....

Joe likes it and will make sandwiches for himself for lunch as I am trying to get him to eat lunch since he is an Adult Onset Diabetic and takes an oral Hypoglycemic agent.....

But since both of us are used to only eating one meal a day, it is hard to get him to eat a lunch...

This is what I wore to Mass on Sunday morning.....

I was not able to fit into this top for several years....

This is a blazer but since it is now big on me, I am wearing it more like a spring coat....

I have hit another plateau it seems and am staying steady at 47 pounds lost since June 1st...

It does not look like I will hit 60 pounds lost by this June 1st but since this is now a life style change, I am going to keep on going til I lose between 60-65 pounds....

I feel that I will then be at a healthy weight....

Over the past week, I have been really busy getting the front and back yards cleaned up after the Winter, mulched and set up for Summer...

I also cleaned and set up the back Patio!

We have had some unseasonably HOT weather with temps, in the mid 80's and even 90 one day, breaking records!!!

Trees are starting to bloom like this tree in back of us....

Beautiful, right....

But when the wind would blow, it looked like it was Snowing!!

And my back yard, that looked like this after a fresh coat of mulch.....

 Now looked like this!!!

The back yard looked like it was partially covered with Snow!!!!

I had to sweep up all the walkways and patio again....

Here is another great Sunset from the Front Porch....

And from our back yard....

Soon, I will not be able to take pictures of the Sunsets as the Sun moves around more to the front of the house.....

I have had this green metal folding table and chair, that I bought on Clearance in Ross Dress For Less, since 2013...

At the end of last Summer, I was looking for a new table and 2 chairs on Clearance since I had extended the Patio, creating a bigger Patio, but I could not find what I was looking for...

So when I initially set up the Patio this year, it looked like this...

Now this table and chair have held up well in all kinds of weather...

But I really wanted to have 2 chairs on each side of the table...

I do not shop and order online unless I am gifted an Amazon gift card from my son, Joey...

I do not even have an Amazon Account...

I have on occasion ordered from Boscov's department store online...

However, even though I do not like to order online.....

I do shop online....

Meaning I love to shop around, searching for the best price for what I am looking for....

And then, if possible, I send Joe to the local store to purchase what I want..

First, I found these chairs in Big Lot's online....

I actually went to Big Lot's with Joe to check them out and I liked them....

$29.99 each but with a 25% off coupon and a $5 off $15 coupon, we bought 2 chairs for only $43...

The Patio then looked like this....

I like that they are comfortable without needing cushions on them....

And this fabric will dry up nicely as they will be exposed to the elements....

I like the way they now match the 2 chairs and table that I have underneath the awning....

At first, I was going to keep the table....

Because it fits nicely in front of the umbrella base...

BUT.....

I am a person who likes matching items....

So I again went shopping online.....

And I found this table online at Home Depot....

Sorry, the picture from the web site is a bit blurry...

The dimensions where pretty much identical to the green table and it folds up like the green table....

This time, I sent Joe to pick it up at our Home Depot which is about 5-10 minutes down the road from us.....

Pretty much a perfect match to the chairs....

And it fits nicely in front of the umbrella base and between the 2 chairs.....

I put this glass round on top of it but I do have a another one that should fit it exactly but right now, my pink Easter Tree is sitting on top of it in the Dining Room.....

I will be keeping up my Easter decorations until the end of April as I will be getting some company that last weekend of April....

The table was originally $60 but was on sale as part of their Spring Black Friday Blow Out sale for only $39.99....

So the table and 2 chairs only cost us $83.00!!

Now all the Patio furniture is the same color....

Since I live in a row of 10 townhouses and there is another row of 10 townhouses behind me, the wind can whip through the back yard as if it is a wind tunnel which also brings with it a fair amount of dust and dirt....

The brown furniture holds up much better with that then when I had white wicker out back and had to constantly clean and paint it....

This is the other chair and the storage chest that we bought at Home Depot last year....

I am really happy with these new additions to the back Patio....

Now I had an extra seat cushion....

For the past few years, I made this milk crate into a foot stool for me....

I decided to tie the seat cushion onto the top of the antique milk crate...

This created a type of lid....

Allowing me to store things inside there now.....

Like extra place mats and magazines....

And it is actually more comfortable to put your feet up on then when I was using just a pillow....

I am still doing some tweaking with the arrangement of things on the Patio and hope to share the finished project with you in my next post on Friday....

I also did something a bit differently with my Fairy Garden tub this year...

Which led to moving the smaller Fairy Garden things elsewhere....

And not having as many things out in the Gnome Garden in the back yard...

I am trying to keep the yard more uncluttered as we have the grand pups frequently and even though we take them for walks on the side of the road, they do need somewhere to do their business in the back yard...

I hope by my next post on FRIDAY, I will be able to share the entire Patio and back yard....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on FRIDAY!!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  4. I love your new patio furniture!! We have a few chairs with similar material and I love how they have held up through the years and that they are comfy without bulky cushions (especially since we live right on the lake and cushions that get wet take a long time to dry!).
