 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Just a reminder, I will be posting on Wednesdays and Sundays every week so be sure to check back on those days to see a new post......

I was invited by Katherine, over at Katherine's Corner, to join her and other bloggers, participating in her "Valentine's Day on a Tray Blog Tour" which she is hosting graciously today!!!

 I was thrilled!!

Thanks so much , Katherine, for thinking to include me among this very talented group of Bloggers and yourself!!

Thanks to those readers who are coming over from Linda's Blog post, at Crafts A La Mode!!

What an amazing Tray she created!!

And I hope you will continue with the Blog Tour after visiting a bit with me, by going on to stop in and see the Tray Barbara, over at Mantel and Table, has put together for the Tour!!

I know you will not be disappointed!!

But before I get to my Tray, I want to Thank Barb, over at French Ethereal, for choosing my post, Valentine's Vignettes in the Living Room, as one of her features from last week's Share Your Style Link Party!!

Thanks so much, Barb!!

Thanks Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Winter at Nelson Crest and More Crafting, as one of her features from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Link Party!!!

Thanks again, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!!

I decided to use a tiered tray that I have as a centerpiece for a Valentine's Day tablescape.....

This piece is usually up in my bedroom on top of my mother's hope chest...

Those of you who have visited my Blog before know that I am a Victorian soul who also loves all things vintage......

When I think of Valentine's Day, I think of vintage Valentine's cards.......

Sweets like candy and baked goods.....

 And roses......

So that is what I decided to use in creating my Tray for the Tour!!!

Let's take a closer look.....

I bought this tiered tray several years ago in Target on Clearance after Christmas....

I placed it on a gold charger plate....

I used a vintage hand made crocheted collar as a doily .....

And another vintage doily on top.....

From there, I added things that I had around the house......

I placed a red heart vase with a floral arrangement that I made using red roses, hearts and white baby's breath on top.....

2 gold organza roses and a "Love" sign also bought at Target years ago....

The ceramic heart box was a gift from my Mother.....

And I used stickers from Dollar Tree on wood hearts that I painted....

The vintage collar is a perfect fit for the bottom level of the tray....

This vintage Valentine card belonged to my neighbor Elly....

I found a bag of vintage cards when cleaning out her house for her sons when she passed away...

 I love the graphics....

I placed faux candy and other sweets on this tier.....

This vintage style Valentine's post card was gifted to me....

The faux cookies are actually refrigerator magnets.....

 Another vintage Valentine.....

The base of the tray....

The cupcake dishes were bought at the Christmas Tree Shop.....

Heart shaped boxes that I embellished....

 More faux goodies.....

This vintage Valentine's postcard was also gifted to me....

There is no year marked on the post mark.....

I also bought this "Love" sign at Target......

In front, is a heart plate with another heart box that I embellished.....

On each side of the Tray is a red mercury glass candle holder .....

And cute Valentine's bottles from The Christmas Tree Shop....

As I mentioned earlier, my Valentine's Day on a Tray is my centerpiece for a Valentine's tablescape....

I set a simple table for a Valentine's Dinner for Two!!

I started with this pretty tablecloth that I bought a few years ago in Boscov's...

I like the color combination of red, pink and gold as my very Victorian looking Dining Room is a rose color....

Next, a gold charger plate

And my gold flatware with Valentine's napkins that blend right in to the tablecloth....

A plain white dish with a gold rim

Red heart dishes bought in Target

 A pink paper doily

 A small red heart bowl

A faux chocolate cupcake bought at The Christmas Tree Shop many years ago

And my Long Champ crystal glasses

We usually celebrate with a family dinner

But this year, everyone is working different days and shifts so we will be passing....

My house will stay decorated for Valentine's until the end of February as this month is deemed Heart Month by the American Heart Association....

  1. Your snowmen are adorable. How pretty your Valentine table is! You have such lovely items and Valentine's Day is perfect to showcase Victorian decor. I did the bare minimum this year since I am still working on my Christmas storage reorganization (sigh).
