Before and After Halloween Powder Room and More Fall Foliage

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Today, I will be sharing my Powder Room decorated for Halloween and some Fall Foliage showing you where I live......

But first, Thanks, Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Autumn Elegance Tree and Pumpkin Patch, as one of your features from last week's Over the Moon Linky Party!!!

Thanks so much, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!

I usually do a post sharing what our downstairs bathroom, that I call the Powder Room, looks like after I take down the Snow Buddy and Winter decorations in the Spring......

Since I really do not change it much from year to year, I did not want to bore you so I did not do a post on it.....

Today, I thought I would show you how it looked before I added a few Halloween touches to it and then what it looks like afterward........

In the Spring/Summer, this wreath graces the door because I love to hang wreaths on all my inside doors.....

I replaced it with this Halloween wreath I made a few years back.......

Spiders and a spider web are the theme of this wreath.....

I hung a black and white Halloween sign from it that was bought at Dollar Tree.....

This is directly to the left when you walk in......

How it looks now decorated for Halloween.......

A pink glittery and a black and white pumpkin grace the top of the medicine cabinet.....

On the side of the sink......

I printed a black and white Halloween image that I found online and simply taped it to this picture.....

A pumpkin glued to a painted wood candlestick that I made many years ago sits on the sink......

Once again, Before......

And now.......

I hung a creepy chandy ornament from the knob on the medicine cabinet.....

Again, I printed out another graphic and taped it to this picture.....

I bought and embellished this half pumpkin many years ago.....

 Before......

After........

I changed nothing on this shelf unit......

 Before.......

 Now.....

I added a few pink pumpkins that I made to the silver tray......

 This area stayed the same.....

The Estagere......

Next to the Estagere.....

A silver pumpkin, pink velvet leaves and a vase and sterling silver tussie mussie filled with black glittered roses......

Before.....

Decorated for Halloween......

On top of the shelf unit.....

A Skeleton Bride and Groom and a pair of Halloween Snow Buddies.....

A Black Jack O Lantern......

A Spider Potion Bottle.....

Once again, I printed another Halloween graphic and taped it to this Dollar tree frame that I had painted pink and placed a piece of wall paper inside of......

I hope you enjoyed seeing just a few subtle changes I made to the Powder Room to celebrate Halloween!!!

In a previous post, I shared a few views from our bedroom windows.....

Click HERE if you missed that post.......

On Sunday, I decided to leave my house, as truth be told I have only left the house now twice in 2 months to go to get my hair cut, to take a drive up to the top of our hill and take a few pictures of the mountains behind me......

It was a cloudy day but I still think the colors of the leaves on the trees did stand out.....

So allow me to take you on a little tour, sharing where I live......

You can click on the pictures to enlarge them if you wish....

First, I want to share this amazing sight we see whenever we turn into the Apartment complex that we need to drive through to come home.......

There used to be a line of huge evergreen trees here where the guide rail is but management of the Apartment complex removed them ......

Giving us this amazing view of the mountains behind us!!!!

This is our townhouse development on the left of the road......

These pictures were taken from a hill in the Apartment complex, overlooking my Townhouse development.....

Yes, that is the side of Lowe's in the shopping center right next to us......

My row of townhouses is the bottom one shown in this picture......

I speak frequently of the Shopping Center next to our development and that I can see Lowe's roof when sitting on my front porch..............

Well, here is the shopping center that was built over 20 year ago......

Our development is directly behind Lowe's and Interstate 81, which you can see, is behind it...........

This was all woods when we moved here and my sons used to play and have forts in those woods.....

After the Tornado,, that hit this area 2 years ago, demolished Barnes and Nobles, it took a turn and hit Dick's, TJ Maxx and Staples.....

If it would have gone straight through and hit Lowe's, it would have demolished our development and I shudder to think what would have happened that night......

You can see the red Target sign in the background which is in another shopping center that connects with this one.....

This looking toward the Mall that is across the street from the shopping centers......

The back of Arena, where we frequently go to concerts and where we are Season Ticket Holders for the Pittsburgh Penguins AHL Hockey team plays at, is to the left in this picture......

My sons used to walk over to the Mall to play in the arcade and we went to the movies all the time when there were 2 movie theaters here at the Mall......

So you can see that pretty much anywhere I would want to shop is only 5 minutes away from my house as there are more stores and restaurants further down the road from the shopping centers......

However, on the other side of my development are the woods that stretch on from some distance......

I took these pictures from the road that leads through the woods to a giant Sports Dome on the side of our development.......

You can see the tops of our roofs in this picture......

These are the amazing views of the mountains that are directly on the side of Interstate 81 behind our development!!!!

Even though it was a cloudy day, you can still see the leaves changing on the trees......

This was taken almost before you would turn left into the Apartment complex, where both of my sons live, to get to our development.......

And a tree in a yard across the street as there are homes on the other side...........

We feel Blessed to live where we do with, as one of my friend's put it, Nature's Beauty on one side and behind us and anywhere you would ever want to shop, dine and be entertained on the other side of us!!!!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this little bit of where I live......

In my next post, I will start to share the Halloween decorations in our Dining Room.......

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  1. Gosh, I just love your Halloween decor! So elegant and scary, too! And the views, how lovely. We went for a short ride today and saw some trees here starting to turn. I am thinking we will strap the grandbabies in car seats tomorrow and go for a ride in the country. Last year they were all a sea of yellow and brown. This year it looks like we might enjoy some deep reds and oranges!
