Easter Peat Pot Baskets and Black Eggs

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

In my last post, I shared Nelson Crest decorated for Easter.......
Click HERE if you missed that post....

Today, I will be sharing an Easter Craft Project, a pretty calendar picture for April and a few Spring decorations in the Powder Room.......

But first,  Thanks, Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Kitchen Easter Tree and Carrot Crafting, as one of her features from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Link Party!!
Thanks so much, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!

And now, my personal Update:

Yesterday, since March is now over, I packed away all of the St. Patrick's Day decorations for the Den.......
The decorations actually only fill one tub!!!

I then washed and packed away the green Old Curiosity Shop and green depression glass dishes from the china cupboard.....
Once all that was done, I got back out several pieces of my red and blue transferware dishes that I normally have in the china cupboard from April until November......
Today, I will finish decorating the top and around the bottom of the china cupboard in a Patriotic theme which I think is much needed in these trying times.....

Stay tuned for that.....

The Morning Doves are back in NEPA......
I love the sound of their cooing........
I have to dig out the hanging pot that hangs in the corner of our patio where they have nested many times before in hope that they will do so now and offer us a much needed pleasant distraction!!!

This is a picture of a Dove family that we had in the hanging pot in previous years!!
It was wonderful to see the eggs hatch, the baby doves grow and be fed by the parents and then to see them fly the coop!!

Joe has pretty much been able to find everything that I need for our traditional Easter dinner next Sunday.......

Wegman's will be installing custom made plexiglass shields at all registers in their 100+ stores next week.

They have been wiping down and disinfecting all check outs between each and every customer for well over a week now....

They are truly doing their best to keep their employees safe....

I will be making 2 pans of lasagna on Sunday and making up Take Home containers for Jim and Danielle and our niece Renae........

It has been nice having our son, Joey, living here during these times.....

He goes to work everyday at 6:30am right up the road to his apartment where he has his work station set up and comes back here around 4:15pm when his work day is done......

I have been doing a bit of crafting which I will be sharing later in this post.....

Otherwise, all is going well......

As I have said before, not much has changed for me because since I stopped working, I was only leaving the house about once a week so I am actually quite good with all of this!!

How are all of you holding up??

What are you doing to keep busy???

I have seen that most Bloggers are still crafting, decorating and cooking which is giving all of us some wonderful ideas along with lovely distractions from what is going on!!

So PLEASE let's all keep it up and continue to share beauty and POSITIVITY!!!!

I want to share a really pretty Easter picture on the Cynthia Hart calendar that my dear friend, Anne Marie, gifted me.....
Yes, it is a Victorian styled calendar!!
I just love this picture and will probably be looking to frame it for next year!!
I don't decorate much in the Powder Room for Holidays and Seasons now until it is time to decorate for Winter/Christmas again......

Awhile ago, I changed the Powder Room back over to how it "normally" looks........
For Spring, I hung a wreath that I made on the door......
On top of the toilet.....
Several years ago, I actually found pink speckled black eggs!!!
Now what are the chances of that!!

I placed them and a few pink eggs in a pink depression glass bowl with an Easter Snow Buddy.....
And that is the extent of the decorations for Spring/Easter in the Powder Room!!

I was looking for a craft to do when I saw the peat pots sitting on a shelf in the craft room.......
I decorated Peat Pots before for Halloween, using them as favors, filling them with candy corn......
I decided to paint them using the sample paints that I bought at Lowe's a few years back for $1.00 each.....

They are in the basket on the left side of the shelf......
I then used vintage styled Easter tags, trims and ribbon flowers to decorate them after gluing them to wooden rounds that I painted........

I then inserted and glued styrofoam balls inside the pots, glued green Spanish Moss to cover the balls and decorated the inside of the pots with Easter eggs, bunnies and chicks from my stash......

And here is how they came out looking .......
This one , I painted a pale yellow/cream color......
2 different types of ruffled lace around the top......
Pink pom pom trim around the top......

Eggs and Bunny from Dollar Tree.....
Easter Tags bought on Ebay long time ago......
Trims from my stash used to decorate wooden base......

Same thing with this one......
I painted it purple......
Ribbon flowers from my stash......
The handle is a wired trim that I bought on Clearance after Christmas one year....
This is where I used those 2 Easter baskets.......
I think they fit in perfectly with the vintage style wood signs on top of the Living Room Hutch...
I placed a cute pink chick inside of this one with a few Easter eggs.....
Painted this one a greenish aqua color.....
An aqua speckled egg that I had.......
All trims from my vast stash!!
And here is where I put this one in the Living Room......
Thought it looks cute with the chocolate bunny!!
I wanted one for the Kitchen.......
So I painted this one the same color of deep orange as I used in this Bunny Hoop I made.....
If you want to see more about that project, click HERE...

A yellow chick and yellow and green eggs inside of this one.....
With a few sprigs of a berry branch...
 And some yellow Easter grass......
 Red trims and ribbon flowers........
And here where it found a home in the Kitchen......
I am quite happy with how they came out and it gave me the opportunity to use up some of my supplies........

I am working on another project for Easter......

Here is a sneak peak..........
Stay safe, healthy and happy.......

  11. Oh sweetie, these are just so cute ! You are so creative and talented dear friend. It is so nice to be retired when we can start little projects at any time.
I enjoy watching what you do for your beautiful townhouse. I think most of us bloggers have such love for our homes, that keeping in quarantine hasn't been so terrible hard.
    Keep safe my dear.
