Dining Room Easter Bunny Buffet, 2020

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I hope all of you are well, both physically and mentally......

Many of us are struggling with trying to grasp what has become our new reality.....

I borrowed this from FB because I think it has some great points.....
The funny thing is that my life, personally, has not been disrupted hardly at all.......

When I was working , I used to dream about what crime I could commit so that my sentence would be a month or two of house arrest so I would never have to leave my home!!

Honest to God's truth!!

Crazy, huh?

When I stopped working, I realized that I finally had gotten what I wanted!!!

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been practicing "Social Distancing" for years!!

I do not like crowds and would go shopping after coming home from work in the morning when the stores were empty, I do NOT like to eat out because of crowded conditions and overhearing everyone's conversations and since Joe retired, I try not to do much shopping because we truly do not need much.

Before my Knee Replacement surgery, when I was having such a hard time walking, I think I went out 3 times in 2 1/2 months and that was to Dr.'s appointments.

And since I had my surgery and have recovered, I usually only go out once a week or so....

I am concerned about Joe, who is choosing to continue to work at Wegman's, and my son Jim and DIL Danielle, who work at Target.

Ironically, they are now that ones who are on the front line .....

I was always the one, working in a hospital as a nurse, being exposed to everything under the Sun...

Our son Joe's office remains open and even though he can work from home ( he is an IT Specialist), he chooses to continue to go to work as it is not a public work environment and it mantains a sense of normalcy for him.....

I will not distance myself from my family......

Luckily, both our sons live only 5 minutes from us and I feel that what everyone needs right now is family....

I do not feel Joe and I are in that "At Risk Senior Citizen" category that their children should stay away from....

Even though Joe is 65 years old, he is out there working, waiting on hundreds of people a day!!

Joe is basically as healthy as an ox and really has no major medical issues that would put him more at risk.....

I have health issues but none that would also put me more at risk and after working in health care for 42 years providing direct patient care, I am sure I have built up quite a healthy immune system when compared to most people......

I feel our kids need a safe place, a place where they feel at ease, at home and this house will always be their home even though they no longer live here....

I want them to feel that they can always "come home" in trying times......

I know what it is like to not have that feeling.....

My Mom sold my childhood home 3 months after my Dad's passing....

Even though it was the best thing for her to do financially and from a mental stand point ( she moved into a senior apartment and ended up with a great group of friends that she never would have had otherwise) and I supported her decision, it took a long time to get used to "not being able to go home"

For as long as possible, I want my kids to still have that feeling....

Enough said about all of this but I would like to close this topic with this:
Something to think about.....

In this post, I will be sharing my Easter Buffet in the Dining Room......
As I mentioned before, I will continue Blogging about what is important to me....my home.....
I have thoroughly enjoyed decorating for Easter this year.....
And I do plan on celebrating Easter with my family no matter what happens.....
I set up what I guess you can call a bit of an Easter Tea setting......
 A sweet bunny......
Love the green and pink polka dots.....
I bought this pink bottle brush tree at a tag sale and added eggs to it....
This Easter pocket was bought in Michael's one year at 90% off.....
I did the floral arrangement in it using florals from Dollar Tree....
A cute egg dish, also bought in Michaels's at 90% off.......
Filled with eggs bought at a church flea market.......
Many years ago, I had a woman who did ceramics, make me Easter eggs with my son's names on them.......

This is Jimmy's egg.......
You can see that I wove a set of pastel colored Easter lights through out the display.....
On the shelf above the buffet......
One of the egg shaped Easter plates that I recently bought and a ceramic chocolate Easter Bunny.....
I bought the Easter Bunny tea pot.......
Creamer and mugs at a church flea market......
The Easter Bunny tea pot was placed on top of a cake pedestal......
Easter Bunny salt and pepper shakers.....
A Mister Easter Bunny mug.......
An Easter Bunny creamer.....
Egg boxes that I embellished.....
Mrs. Easter Bunny mug.....
A fiberoptic Easter Bunny Tree that I bought in Target many years ago.....
Joey's Easter egg.....
What are the chances that I would find this cute Easter Bunny with a green and pink polka dotted bow that matches my Bearington Bear Easter Bunnies??????
A few pictures in the Evening.......
I hope seeing my Easter Buffet put a smile on your face in this trying time.....

We all need to find something that will bring us joy and make us smile and this is what does it for me so I am sharing it with you.......

In my next post, I will be sharing the rest of my Easter decorations in the Dining Room......
 Including my pink Easter Tree........
So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon and share in what brings me Joy and Happiness!!
