Summer Front Yard, 2019

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

So far this Season I have already shared our Front Porch......
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

And I also shared the flower bed under our Living Room window....
And how I spruced up a flower bed that I created by our mailboxes a few years ago.....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

Today, I will be sharing the flower bed at the top of the slope that runs in front of our row of townhouses.....
We'll start at this end of the flower bed which is across from the flower bed under the Living Room window.....
Over by the other flower bed is a pair of Fairies.....
Near the steps that go down to the last 2 townhouses in our row.......
Another Fairy and a pot of yellow marigolds....

Between the Azaleas and in front of the Rhododendron is this little display.....
My chippy angel that I bought many years ago after Christmas at Target.....
A garden rock, toad stool and a few Bunnies ......
Next to the Angel is my faux Mailbox.....

I bought it at an estate sale of someone who owned a Florist shop and it was used to place cards in at a wedding reception!!
I used E 6000 to attach it to a plant stand......
Joe bought a Patriotic mail box cover at Wegman's.....
Sorry for the glare from the Sun......
I wrapped 2 different kinds of faux garland around the base of the mail box.....
A red begonia is planted in the pot under the mail box......
Planted in a vintage watering can are 2 coral colored impatiens......
A sweet deer and another toad stool on the side of the watering can......
Looking out from the front door and porch....
My park bench and lantern.....
On the left side of the bench.....
A small stained glass bird bath a nd a bulb like solar light hang from a shepherd's hook......
A mama and baby Bunny and a pot of hens and chicks in a holder....
I left up the few Patriotic decorations that I was able to put out for Memorial Day....

They were in the shed in the back yard while the rest are up the attic which I was not able to get to because of my knee surgery.....

On the park bench....
I planted the 2 heart stakes which were black.....
In this larger black pot, I planted a red Gerber Daisy.....
It has one bloom on it.....
Yellow Marigolds are planted in this smaller pot......
Underneath the bench.....
A Doggie angel and an engraved rock, " Our Beloved Pet", paying homage to our fur babies that are
waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge......
On the other side of the bench........
Another Fairy......
And another stained glass bird bath and a bulb like solar light, hanging from a shepherd's hook......
Looking down the slope at the ground cover perennials now blooming with yellow flowers.......
The right side of the flower bed......
2 Deer that Joe bought on Clearance after Christmas one year at Wegman's......
At the end of our yard.....
A Patriotic mini flag, a toad stool.....
A rock that says"Dream" and a sweet Garden Girl statue.....

I stuck to the red, orange and yellow color theme that I used for the Front Porch as far as decor and flowers were concerned......

I find that it transitions well into Fall at the end of the Summer Season.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing our front flower bed......
I do want to share a few more things......

When we sit out on the Front Porch, this little guy is hard at working........
Running back and forth......
Burying his stash some where in our slope for the Winter......
He does this almost all day long!!

The other day , I was trying to get a photo of the red Cardinal that has been frequenting our back yard but he keeps evading me.......

I did manage to get a picture of him in the tree across the street on the road into and out of our development!!!
And the other day we had several down pours.......

One thing is that I hardly have to do is water this Summer because of all the rain......

We supposedly got 7 1/2 inches of rain in June which is like 3 inches over our normal for the month!!

Anyway, this lovely rainbow was sighted in my back yard looking toward the woods on the one side of us.......
I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. Debbie, I am amazed at all the work you go to to create your gardens! In every direction, you have something pretty to look at. I wouldn't dare have a garden like yours because the wind would destroy it. We live in the windiest spot. There are days I'm sure the wind will blow my wreath off the front door but thankfully that has only happened a few times. I love the deer and I'm sure those little creatures are having fun playing among all the plants and decorations! So cute! Hope you're doing well. Happy July 4th tomorrow!

  15. Your yard looks wonderful. I can see that there was some serious trimming done. Did you have winter kill there in PA? ...we are still working on ours. One more huge cart to do---and still a Tree Rose of Sharon, also. Upside you have more room now for goodies in your yard. Have a great summer!
