Monongahela Incline, Point State Park and Fort Pitt Museum, Pittsburgh

Welcome!!

This is the 2nd post brought to you by Joe and our oldest son, Joey, who recently went on a 3 day trip to Pittsburgh to see a Pittsburgh Penguins Exhibition Game........

But first, I want to thank these Hostesses for featuring my post, Victorian Haunted Doll House from last week's party!!

Thanks to Michelle, over at Coastal Bohemian, and all the other Hosts of the Funtastic Friday Party for featuring it as The Most Viewed from last week's party!!!!
Thanks to all the hosts of this great party!!

And thanks to Beverly, over at How Sweet The Sound, who chose it as her feature from last week's Anything Goes Pink Saturday Party!!!!
 Thanks so much, Beverly!!

I have to mention that Pink Saturday was the very FIRST Linky party that I ever linked up to when I first started blogging back in 2010!!!

Now you can not only link up Pink posts but you can link up any kind of post!!

Please stop by and link up to this delightful party!!!

Since I wrote this post, another horrific Act of Violence has occurred in Pittsburgh......

It is sad to even say that these type of things are becoming common in America and leads one to wonder is there no end to this senseless violence in sight???????

So I am asking you join me in sending Prayers for the victims and their families......
As I mentioned in my last post, I shared Joe's and Joey's trip to Pittsburgh when they visited The Living Dead Museum and the Evans City Cemetery.......
This allowed Joey to check it off his Bucket List as he is a huge fan of the movie "Night of the Living Dead" and the Zombie genre that originated from this 1968 classic Horror movie!
Click HERE if you missed this post!

They stayed at the Cambria Hotel which is right next to the PPG Arena which is the Home Ice of the Pittsburgh Penguins!!!

This is where they stayed last year too!!

Looking out from the window of Joe's room at the Cambria Hotel, right next to the PPG Arena in Pittsburgh......
You can see the Arena is right next to the Hotel.....
This was a Pizza place where they ate one night....
They did a bit of sight seeing around Pittsburgh and went to the Monongahela Incline at Point State Park.......
This is amazing!!
Joe......
And Joey , who just loves to have his photo taken!!
Scenes from up at the top of the Incline!!!!
Three Rivers Stadium where Joe's Team, The Pittsburgh Steelers, play......
It is called this because this is where the three rivers, The Allegheny, Monongahela and the Ohio rivers, meet.........

This is the area on top of the Incline.......

Point State Park......
Again, called this because of the "Point" where the three rivers meet.......
This area above is where the original Fort Pitt supposedly was built.......

An area where a flame is lit at times......
The "floor" of a fountain......
No pennies??????

Joe thought he would get these photos of Three Rivers Stadium because this is probably as close as he is going to get to it ......
They then visited the Fort Pitt Museum.......
Built in 1765????   Amazing!!
A Diorama of what the original Fort Pitt looked like......
Joe found this interesting because there is a town named Tamaqua is actually located not to far from us!!
Yes, that is Joe's face in the Middle!!!!
LOL!!
At the end of this day, they decided it was time to get something to eat......

They went to this Eatery where 3 restaurants were located, each one on a different floor!!
They ate at Emporio, a Meatball Joint.........

This was Joe's Meatball hoagie!!!!!!!
It took him awhile to figure out how to eat it!!!

Joey enjoyed a dish of pasta and meatballs!!
He is going to kill me for posting this photo!!

LOL!!

Joe said that one of the interesting things about this restaurant was after they were sitting there awhile, they realized that there was no window!!!!!
Apparently, the window retracts to create an "Open Air" feel!!!
He did say that there was a bird at the next table but the food was fantastic!!!!!!!

In my next post, I will be sharing one more post about their trip to Pittsburgh.......
They went to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium....
 Which they enjoyed immensely.......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
