New Church Flea Market Holiday Finds

Welcome!!

Sorry it has taken me a while to get a new post up but the tower on my main computer simply died!!

Yep, the power source was fried and the tower simply would not turn on......

Thank Goodness I have my own personal IT specialist, my son Joe!!
Within 24 hours, he got me a new tower, transferred the hard drive from the old one into the new one , added everything that I need and use into the tower and saved everything that I had on file and had the new one hooked up and ready to run.....

All for the price of a home cooked meal!!!!  LOL!!

On another personal note, my son , Jim, had surgery yesterday on Wednesday.....

He had his tonsils out at 34 years old....

He did well and will have to be off from work now for 2 weeks.....

I am glad it is over because as many of you know, if makes no difference how old our children are, Mothers still worry.....

Last Saturday, after I got out of work, Joe and I went to a Church Flea Market....

But first, I want to Thank these hosts who were kind enough to feature my post, Spring Blooms in the Front Yard  from last week's parties!!!

Thanks to the Garden Hosts of the Monthly You're the Star linky party, Marci, over at Stone Cottage Adventures and Angie, over at God's Growing Garden, for choosing it as one of the Garden Features!!
Thanks so much, Marci and Angie!!!

And I also want to Thank Maria Elena, over at Our Home Away From Home, for featuring it from last week's Tuesday's At Our Home Party!!
Thanks so much , Maria Elena!!

Please stop by and link up to these wonderful parties!!!

Okay, this is my haul from the Church Flea Market.....
I love this particular Church Flea Market because they run it for a few Saturdays and end it in conjunction with their Church Bazaar......

They have it set up in a now closed Catholic School, utilizing the downstairs class rooms with each class room having a theme......

One for all the Holiday items, one for toys and baby things, one for decor, one for household and books and one for dishes and bake ware.....

They add new things weekly and their prices are outstanding......

As you can see, I bought all Holiday items!!!
You are probably thinking....

"Doesn't this crazy woman have enough Holiday decorations????"

I could not resist at the prices they were and I will admit that it is a sickness....a disease..... an addiction!!

LOL!!

So shall we take a look at my new Holiday treasures?????

First up is this sweet little Patriotic Lady.......
She is exactly what I was looking for to use in the Den with my red and blue transfer ware dishes on display in my China Cupboard because of the darker blues and reds.....
I am going to spruce her up a bit with new flowers and maybe a bit more lace .......
She was only $3.00!!!!!

For Easter, I found these treasures......
Will you look at these cuties???????
I fell in love with their shoes!!!!!!
Aren't they adorable????
Now hold on to your hat....they were $2.00 for the pair!!!!

And this pretty vintage looking ceramic Easter Cross was $1.00!!!!
This brightly colored Spring wood sign was 75 cents......
For Fall, I fell in love these these 2 items........
I realized that I did NOT have a  proper Scarecrow among my Fall decorations.........
And I fell in love with this one for $2.00!!

I may glam him up a bit to go with my Fall decor in the Living Room........

And I have NEVER seen an Autumn Angel like this before.......
So I grabbed her for $1.00!!!!!!

And then I saw a similar Christmas Angel!!!!!!
They both had battery packs which I thought would not work because they were only a Dollar each and I was already thinking that it did not matter and I could add Fairy lights to them but Lo and Behold, the battery packs worked!!!!!
Can you see the white lights on the Christmas Angel and the orange lights on the Fall one??????

I did buy a few more Christmas things.......
I looked under a table and I saw a box of greenery.......
Inside the box were these 2 evergreen swags........
I thought that one would be perfect to hang on the lantern in the front flower bed and maybe hang the other one from the front porch light......
Of course, I will add new bows and maybe a few more florals or ornaments to them!!!
Underneath the swags, were these 2 vintage plastic poinsettias........
I have noticed that these type of decorations are making a come back so I will hold on to them and look on Pinterest for ideas as to what I can do with them......
I have to hold on to them after all because they are glittered!!!!!

The entire box of greenery was only $3.00!!

So I was charged a mere $13.75 for all of these Holiday treasures!!!!!
Of course, we gave more than that because it was for a church and since I ran our church's Flea Market for over 10 years, we always appreciated how generous people were when they told us to "keep the change because it is for the church".......

I now return the favor when I go to a Church or a charity's Flea Market.....

I think it was a good haul, don't you????????

In the future, I will be sharing how I put my touch on these holiday treasures.......

And I hope you enjoyed seeing my new treasures......

In my next post, I will be sharing my Gnome Fairy Garden in a Beverage Tub........
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

ONE MORE THING.......

This is in regards to the issue with Blogger not sending the comments on posts by way of email to the owners of Blogs......

Since there have always been bloggers who commented in the past who I did not receive an email in regards to their comment, I have made it a practice of checking the comment section on Blogger or checking the comments under each individual post so I did not miss a comment.

I try to respond to ALL comments on my posts in some way......

Since those who commented took the time to do so and also took the time to visit my post, I believe that the right thing to do is to respond with a comment on their Blog post....

In other words, I believe that I am returning the favor of a visit and I have always believed that this is the proper thing to do instead of responding by a Thank You in an email......

I will continue to do this by looking at the comments on each post or in the comment section on blogger.....

If you do not have a blog or I can not find another way to respond, I will reply on the post that you commented on so PLEASE check back......

This is something that I have been doing for some time now and will continue to do even if blogger fixes this issue......

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

  2. The computer has given us problems several times such as this. It does help to have an IT specialist to help. I am so glad my husband could take care of ours mostly. Time to upgrade outs before problems arise as this one is about 3 years old now.
love those bunnies. I can't pass up a sale. I made up my mind though, every new thing I bring in the home, I have to take another out. I accumulate so much stuff.
So glad you son is doing well. Yes, no matter what the age, our children they will always be.
Gosh I hope blogger gets the comment section up and running again. Looks like everyone has the same problem with not getting notifications by email of comments.

  3. You certainly did make a haul! I am like you, I love the shoes on your bunnies! Glad to hear your sons surgery went well, hope he has a speedy recovery. I hate computer problems....so frustrating! My grandson in law is the programmer for the college here, so he's only a phone call away when I have a problem! hugs....

  7. Debbie,
I don't think I have ever heard of anyone getting their tonsils out at that age. Good for him. Sorry to hear about your computer. My almost died so I have to get a new one last week. Still trying to get all of my files and programs on the new one. You always get the best finds.
I am in Pittsburgh this weekend.
    Hugs,
    Bev

  9. I love the bargains you find at thrift stores and you found a bunch! I remember those vintage plastic poinsettias. My mother had a couple in white. I do have to say that my favorite is that patriotic girl. She is adorable. I hope your son is recovering nicely. I had my tonsils out when I was 5. I still remember all the freeze pops I ate! Thanks for linking up over at the Make Life Pretty Monday link party! Hope to see you next week!

  10. That was a super haul Debbie and such a good price too. Can't wait to see how you incorporate all those goodies into your decor, especially the Christmas stuff. Hope Jim is doing okay. Imagine keeping your tonsils for all those years. I bet that doesn't happen often. Wishing you a very happy week, see you next time
