Easter in the Kitchen. 2017

Welcome!!!

Can you believe that Easter will be here soon?????

Today, I will be sharing a few Easter decorations in the Kitchen......

But first, I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for featuring my post, Pink Easter Tree, from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Party!!
Thank Bev for this honor!!

I also want to Thank Karren, over at Oh My Heartsie Girl, for featuring my post, Living Room Easter Tour, Part 1,  from last week's Friday Feature Linky Party!!
Thanks, Karren for chosing my post!!

Please stop by and link up to these lovely parties!!!

My Kitchen is mainly red and yellow with a touch of green so trying to find Easter decorations to go with those colors has been a challenge but over the years, I have collected a few things......
Many of you have seen this wall over and over and over again.......

And for that I apologize but this hutch is where I primarily decorate for every Holiday and Season.....

So here it is again.......
As I mentioned before, red and yellow are hard Easter colors to find ...........
I was gifted this Plate Set a few years back.......
I also added a few yellow Easter eggs and also some copper ones.......
The yellow and green colors of these Easter plates are perfect for my Kitchen. I think.........
And I also added a yellow Easter plaque that I bought in Michael's a few years back.....
On the desk part of the hutch is where I like to set up my Holiday displays....
As you can see, I found enough Easter things in red, yellow and green!!

I used a green place mat  bought at Dollar Tree on the desk.....

Yellow chicks are perfect.......
This egg was made my my MIL many years ago......
The wording is Polish and means "Happy Easter"!!
I was lucky enough to find a bag of Polish Pysanky eggs at a flea market and have used them through out this display....
Pysanky Eggs were made by the Eastern Europeans, such as the Polish ( of which we are descendants of ), the Russians, the Lithuanians and the Slovaks who settled in this area in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

Click HERE if you would like to read about Pysanky Eggs......

Joe always comments on spending most of his time in Catholic School around Easter, being taught to make Pysanky Eggs by the nuns!!!
A green wooden egg plaque hangs in the back ground.......
The paper eggs were also bought at a flea market.....
A cute bunny figurine on a bed of yellow Easter grass is in the center......
An Easter tree with an egg shell like dish that is filled with Pysanky eggs
A green glass bunny dish.....
That's how I decorated the top of the Hutch..........
I also decorated underneath the hutch.....
A fuzzy bunny hangs from the knob of the drawer........
On top of the vintage picnic basket.......
A few eggs, a yellow egg box and a yellow bunny that was mine as a child......
Over above the counter bar, hangs an egg wreath that I bought at Michael's a few years back for 90% off.........
Instead of filling my copper 3 tier basket with faux fruit like I usually do, I decided to leave it empty....
You can also see that I hung my Summer garland and feed sack garland above the counter bar......
I also hung apple garland.......
The egg wreath will stay here until the Fall........
On top of the refrigerator........
Again, I stayed with the red and yellow theme.......
I created a floral arrangement in an Easter container that I also bought at Michael's a few years back at 90% off........
I tied a bow around the neck of a cute yellow Chick box........
I also added a few Easter things to the area above the sink where the Kitchen window used to be.......
I hung a few eggs from the chandy.........
Added some chicks and bunnies..........
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated the Kitchen for Easter..........

In my next post, I will be sharing how I decorated Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, for Easter......

So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie
