And I also want to Thank Kathryn over at The Dedicated House for featuring my post,
Wanna See What I Bought  # 3 ? , from last week's Anything Blue Party!

Thanks so much, Ladies!!   Please pay them all a visit and link up to their wonderful parties!!

Last weekend, Joe finally got me to go to Plains Antiques and Home Furnishings in Plains, Pa. which is about a 10 minute drive , at most, from our home.
Joe has been there several times during his wanderings on his days off when I am sleeping in the morning after working the night shift but I never seemed to have enough time to visit this wonderful establishment.

SILLY ME!!

I had no idea what I was missing!!!!!
The store is owned by Larry and Diane Cook , who are Estate Liquidators and run wonderful Estate Sales through out our area.

They are also locally known for being friends of former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady, Rosalyn Cater and have been instrumental in bringing the Presidential Couple to our little area twice!!!

Once in 2011, where the former President stayed at one of my favorite local places ,
 The Frederick Stegmaier Mansion.
They stayed in the Amelia Suite which is where Joe and I stayed for our anniversary a few years ago.

Yes, we slept in the same bed  that a former President and First Lady slept in!!!!!!

The former President and his lovely wife again returned to our area this year to speak at the
Wyoming Monument, site of a famous Revoluntionary War Battle, in Wyoming, Pa.
Again, this was at the request of the Cook's.

One of the links between the Cook's and the Carter's, is Plains. The Carters live in Plains, Georgia and the Cook's place of business is in Plains, Pa.  I am not sure if they live in Plains though.

Plains Antiques and Home Furnishings is a Vendor Co Op.

I was absolutely overwhelmed by the extent of spectacular items for sale in this store!!

The manager was kind enough to let me take a LOT of pictures so let me take you on a Tour of Plains Antiques and Home Furnishings in Plains, Pa.
