Fairy Garden in a Beverage Tub and More Critter Pics!!

I want to Thank Kathy from over at Life on Lakeshore Drive for featuring my post,
What I Bought and Where I Put It, as one of her Pick of the Bunch Fabulous Features from last week's
Bouquet of Talent Party!!

Thanks so much, Kathy!!
Please stop by and visit Kathy and link up to her wonderful party!!

Quite awhile ago, I picked up one of those Beverage Party Tubs at The Christmas Tree Shop.......
You know the kind..... the ones you put ice in and cans of Beer and Soda??????

But I had something else in mind for it......
I was looking for a container so I could create a little Fairy Garden in it but it could be moved around easily.....

I loved this bright yellow color and the fact that it was $2.99.......
I filled the bottom with empty soda cans so it would be light to move and then added the dirt and yes, I did put a hole in the bottom for drainage....

Now you may remember that I bought this Pasta House at Salvation Army a bit ago for $2.99......
Since Italian food is quite big in my area, I thought it would be perfect!!  LOL!!
But I was waiting to find some type of Fairy statues......

The other RN who works my weekend with me , who I have known for 35+ years, has become quite the yard sale shopper.   She has 4 grandchildren and they have been helping her create a large Fairy garden in her back yard  ( I must get pictures from her to share with you).

She went to a yard sale one day and was lucky enough to buy 10 little fairy figurines for $10!!

AND she was ever so kind to give me 5 of the figures!!

They were perfect for the little Fairy Garden in a Tub that I put together!!
Now aren't they the cutest darn things??????
Adorable!!
You can see that I used some River Rocks and  Crystals from the Dollar Tree.

The stone walkways in front of the house is from one of my Christmas Villages......
  Plants came from the garden.....

It is very simple but I love it and I think the figures are so sweet!!

Thanks, Linda!!

To protect the figures, I sprayed them with Rustoleum Clear Gloss Sealer and it added a nice sheen to them.

I realize that when it rains, the water just beads up on them so I decided to spray all of my Garden Figures with it to preserve them!!

Here are my Gnomes and Toad Stools sprayed with the Sealer....

Remember him as one of my recent flea market purchases.....

Well, here he is in the Gnome Garden Tub!!

I think the spray really brought out the colors on the garden statues and will prevent them from fading.....

I will let you know how they hold up......

                                             Caught in the Act
We do enjoy watching the chipmunks that frequent our Garden!!
I think he is planning an attack......

He found something to nibble on.....
Oh  Oh!!

 He is making his move!!
Sneaky little bugger!!

I guess he likes the hens and chicks!!
He seems to be enjoying his little stolen piece!!

He is making his get away!!
I think he thought if he stood still for a bit, he would be invisible!!!
And he will squeeze through the lattice and make his get away!!

More visitors!!

I took this through the screen door.....
And again, some one was eating my larger plants!!!

See his little face!!   Darn Ground Hog!!
He just about made it through the opening between the gate and the fence.   I did put a piece of lattice there and we have not seen him in the yard since.....

HOWEVER........

This is in my next door neighbor's yard!!!!!!
Do you see that hole??????
Hopefully, those ground hogs will not tunnel over to my yard and pop up in it!!!!!!

My Neighbor has filled the hole once already!!

I am beginning to feel like Chevy Chase in Caddy Shack!!!!!
