I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

In my last post, I shared How I Did With My October Monthly Goals....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

We had some heavy rain and wind the other day but there was an amazing rainbow when it was all over with.....

Then the clouds moved in and it started to disappear.....

Looks like one can find the Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow by the water tower at the VA Medical Center.....

The tree across from my house is finally blazing with color but it has lost a lot of it's leaves.....

I took these pictures of the woods on one side of our development when the Sun was setting and illuminating them....

The "burning " bush in my late neighbor Ed's yard....

When I re-landscaped his yard several years ago, this bush looked like it was dying so I cut it way back to almost nothing and look at it now!!

 Beautiful!!

I did get a grand total of 4 Trick or Treaters this year...

My next door neighbors Anaya and Yusef came over to show me their "play" outfits , which was a combination of several different ones!!

LOL!!

So cute!!

I did have bags made up for them with candy and money even though they do not celebrate Halloween as they are Muslim....

They both had been very sick with croup so I was glad they were feeling well enough to come over...

They loved my decorations and their Mom, Mehrukh, took pictures as she loves to show her friends my decorations...

I forgot to share that a few weeks ago, my son Joey and I stopped in the Spirit of Halloween store that was in the Mall right down the street from us....

They had some great displays!!

They had what looked like a subway car set up with all kinds of characters around it...

From Squid Game....

 And inside of it....

Some great items for sale....

I was hoping that we would get a Spirit of Christmas store here in NEPA but no such luck this year....

One last Trunk and Treat for the Season....

The apartment complex where both my sons live hosted a Trunk and Treat for it's residents....

Mimi and Uncle Joey again joined in on the fun!!

My son Jim was able to take a long lunch so he could attend it with his family....

Bluey is Gigi and Bingo is Lily!!

They definitely got their money's worth out of these Halloween outfits this year....

The wind was a bit wicked that evening....

The blonde woman is Linda, the apartment complex manager....

When Linda saw the Twins, she started to yell..."The twins are here!"

The wind knocked over her bowl of candy so Jim ran over to help pick them up....

My late husband Joe would have loved this guy's costume....

He told us he was going to the game at our arena right afterward...

People had boxes of candy and goodies!!

Uncle Joey had to go and pet this sweet dog....

Can you tell he hates to have his picture taken....

Gigi is again holding her Daddy's hand like at the last Trunk and Treat....

I have to say that the twins made out like bandits at this one as you can see their buckets are filled!!!

There was some very generous people!!

What a great Halloween Season it was!!!

Lots of wonderful memories made with my family!!!

I hope you enjoyed this Halloween Season as much as I did.....

  1. Trunk or treat is a great idea. I didn't get many kids this year -- only 15!

  2. The first time I decorated my trunk for a trunk or treat - the wind was just like your first photo! Half of my display went out in a soybean field before it even started! After that I decorated INSIDE the vehicle. The girls did get a lot of use out of their costumes!

  3. hI DEBBIE, you are such a great neighbor and friend. Some of those costumes were a little too creepy for the trunk or treat. Ha! The girls are adorable! Have a great week in November! xo laura in Coloorado

  4. I missed visiting last week as was having a bad few days with IBS, arthritis and other issues. The wet and damp weather does not help. Trunk or Treat is getting more popular, and is the way to go. We had pouring rain on Friday night plus high winds, so trunk or treats were organized in the Walmart parking lot for the next day, and over 400 kids went! the twins did well. I was out this morning to a few dollar stores looking for ceramic trees for my display, got some last year but was hoping for some more. No luck today but will try again in a few days time. Enjoy the day.

  6. The Trunk and Treat looked like a lot of fun -- hope the twins shared their haul with the rest of the family. They are so cute, as are your neighbor children. What gorgeous tree color around your area, and the rainbow was indeed spectacular. Enjoy your day and the rest of the week.
