And now for a few Personal Notes...

The patching, sealing and painting of new lines of our Court is finally finished......

On Friday evening, the workers told Joe he could take away the cones and the tape so everyone could park back in the lot....

I told Joe it would be fitting for him to be the  first one to park in our newly refinished lot since we have lived here the longest out of everyone because we are now the only original owners left on our Court.........

This week, I will pack up Summer from the front porch and yard and decorate it for Fall....

In the very beginning of October, I will then decorate it with all the new Halloween decorations I have bought and made,,,,,

Because I could not start my Fall decorating out in the front of the house like I usually do right after Labor Day because of our parking lot project, I started in the Living Room.,....

I changed all the drapes, curtains and linens over from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter after first packing away my Late Summer "Under the Sea" decorations and giving the room a good cleaning....

That took 3 days...

On Day 4, I was finally able to start decorating...

And that took me 3 more days to get everything done for a total of 6 days to complete the total change over of the Living Room to Fall.....

Today, I will begin my Tour of the Living Room decorated in what I call an "Elegant Autumn Style".......

We will start with the TV Entertainment Center

Every year, I set up a Harvest Village on top of it.....

I had a Halloween Village and an Easter Bunny Village at one time, all bought in Joann's Fabric's many years ago....

I gave the other 2 Villages away to family members awhile ago.....

I kept the Harvest Village after I added a few more houses to it that I found in The Christmas Tree Shop a few years back.....

 This was last year's display.....

I wanted to do things a bit differently this year.....

This is a picture I took of how it looked after I took down the "Under the Sea" decorations....

See the glass candle holders?????

I made them awhile ago by gluing a Dollar Tree vase and candle stick together with E6000 glue.....

I took these pictures without a flash because the crystalized and glittered pieces kept reflecting....

You may remember that I bought these in Hobby Lobby awhile ago......

I used them in this display...

I wanted to stagger the height of the houses instead of lining them up in a row so I added 3 book boxes to the lover level.....

First, I started with laying down a runner on top of the TV Entertainment Center...

It has a red truck on it filled with pumpkins.....

Let's start on the left side, shall we?

Here is one of those candle holders along with one of the scarecrows....

I used 4 of the boxes that the houses came in for the elevation in the back and covered them with a valance that matches the other linens in the Living Room that I bought many years ago in Target after Christmas one year.....

One of those bottle brush trees and pine cones, that I baked, are used here along with a book box that I placed the Church on top of....

There is a small set of Fairy lights woven throughout the lower level....

In the center on a wreath stand is a wreath that I made 2 years ago.....

This year, I decided to light it up.....

Hung in the middle of it is a metal acorn shaped sign that says Happy Fall, bought for $1 in Dollar General...

I am glad that I decided to light it...

In the center, on the lower level, is another book box...

You can see a pumpkin and another one of those scarecrows on it.....

The right side...

One more scarecrow and the other candle holder....

Another house placed on top of a book box.....

And that is how I did the Harvest Village this year....

I really like how it came out this year....

Also new this year is this area on the floor in front of the TV Entertainment Center.........

I added these things in front of the TV......

I forgot to light up my glass picture blocks of Faye and Azumi that my son Jim and DIL gifted me....

On the floor....

You may remember that I just bought these in Gabes....

I fell in love with this sweet girl....

And these candles....

You may also remember that I got this for FREE on the last day of a church Flea Market back in August.....

And I did this arrangement in it using florals that I also recently bought.....

I thought they fit in perfectly here....

I made this a long time ago in a wagon bought at a church Flea Market.....

Everything on top of the chest is new except for the Dollar Tree ceramic pumpkin.....

I made the "pumpkin" on the side of the chest out of Pringle's cans 2 years ago.....

So that is how the TV Entertainment Center is decorated for Fall this year and this is where I will end for today!!!

Since many of you are wondering where the heck I will put all the new things that I have been buying, I will be showing you exactly what I did with all that Merch in all my upcoming posts......

In my next post on WEDNESDAY, I will be sharing my "Elegant Autumn" Tree and the "Pumpkin Patch" underneath it....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on  WEDNESDAY!!!!

  1. Be still my pumpkin picking heart! Your fall tree is gorgeous, Deb. And how clever are you- Pringles can pumpkins. I always leave your home with an idea for my own. Everything is beautiful! Have a blessed day. Hugs.

  2. The lighting is especially nice, Debbie. So fallish! And three years on the parking area project. That has to be a relief and yes, you deserve first placement!

  3. Hi Deb! Well, well, you've been busy! I have to catch up, we were on vacation last week and I was at the beach in 90 degree weather. I haven't thought of fall at all, and I come back to blog land and it's in full swing! Your home is, as always, gorgeously decorated from top to bottom in glorious color. I spent lots of time looking at your pics and spying all the delicious details. I can't wait to go back and peek at what I miss and what's to come!!
