Spooky Witch's Potion Buffet in the Dining Room. 2022

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

ANNOUNCEMENT

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

With the beginning of Fall, the HOLIDAY SEASON starts for me....

I consider the Holiday Season from September until after Easter as I decorate for all the Holidays and Seasons in between those months....

So I usually have a lot to share....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be starting to share my Halloween decorations in my Dining Room which tend to be a bit on the Spooky side....

In my last post, I shared my Journey that I started back in June toward a much Healthier Life in a brutally honest post...

Click HERE if you missed this post....

UPDATE on this post....

In this post, I did share a before picture of myself taken in June of 2020 which was one of the last pictures that I allowed to be taken....

And I said that I am not "hiding" anymore....

So this is me now after a 25.5 pound weight loss so far.....

That is how much I lost since June 1st!!!

I still have quite a way to go and it has not been easy but I am determined.....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Food of the Week

This week's Reheat and Eat Dinners from the WB Scranton Pens Food Service.....

Joey had the Grilled Chicken w/ Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta with Oven Roasted Broccoli

I ate Joey's broccoli.....

Joe ate only the beef from the Beef Stroganoff with Egg Noodles & Forest Mushroom Medley..

I ate the noodles and mushrooms.....

And I had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake w/ Cajun Remoulade/ Garlic & Herb Red Potatoes & Grilled Seasonal Vegetables

Joe ate the potatoes and the green beans.....

All was very good!

Joe and I went to the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins first Pre-Season game on Wednesday.....

And of course, Joe and his buddy, Tux!!!

And me and one of my former patients, Joe, who is 96 years old and still working part time as an usher at the Arena!!!!

We had a great time!!!

We got 3 inches of rain from Hurricane Ian which was supposed to miss us completely!!!

Finally the Sun came out yesterday after 2 days of "showers"!!!!

As I am trying to finish up this post, I have company....

Yes, we have the grand pups for a few days.....

I stopped decorating my Dining Room for Halloween when my sons got older but my good friend Anne Marie got me back into decorating for Halloween several years ago....

Today, I will be sharing my Witch's Potion Buffet.....

I have decorated the buffet like this for a few years now but I added some new things this year...

Let's first look at the corner where the buffet is first...

I hung a Halloween sign over the picture.....

And I hung this Halloween tussie mussie that I made recently in the corner....

2 Dollar Tree signs and one was unfinished and I painted it....

And a Jack O Lantern on the shelf...

I replaced one of the pictures above the buffet with a sign that Joe bought last year on Clearance...

On the floor in the corner......

A cute witch on a pedestal....

The Buffet.....

On the left side....

I made all the potion bottles a few years ago...

The glass with the hand on it is from Dollar Tree...

You may remember that I recently bought this cauldron at J. C. Penney's...

I placed a silver Dollar Tree tray on top of a crystal compote bowl....

And placed the cauldron on top of it....

On the shelf above the buffet....

In the center....

I also recently bought 2 of these mugs at Target.....

I embellished this skull with vintage rhinestones....

And placed it in an antique sterling silver Bridal Basket......

I placed the potion book I made on top of a black Dollar Tree tray.....

On the right side....

Potion bottles and a Halloween candle that I made last year on top of a pedestal....

A witch weather vane.....

More potion bottles and another glass from Dollar Tree

A little spookier.....

I wove a set of fairy lights through out the display....

I also want to share the Dining Room Chandy in this post.....

I hung some skulls and black Jack O Lanterns from it....

Also black small skeletons and a bat in the center.....

And this is where I will leave off for today....

On SATURDAY, I will share more of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY!

  1. Hey Debbie!
You look fabulous! And I love your sweater. You'd never know your friend is 96.. good for him!!
The grand-pups are super cute, as always.
Ian didn't miss us. We had lots of rain and wind, plus power outages. But no damage, fortunately.
    Take care.
    Blessings, Linda

  6. Congratulations on your weight loss! You've mentioned not being fond of cooking. Has your family always gotten take out for meals or did you just tough it out when your boys were younger? Have a great weekend.

  7. PJ,
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind and encouraging words!! I never said that I can not cook BUT I really hate to do so!! All that time spent doing so and in 5 minutes there is nothing to show for it!! LOL!! I did cook when my sons were young but they were extremely picky like their Father so it drove me nuts...we did eat out a lot too!!
    Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Deb

  9. Great job, Debbie, on losing weight!! Keep walking several times a week to help tighten up skin, as I'm sure you are. Dig in your yard and swing a pick axe to break up tree roots, and that works great on arms (that's what this 60 year old likes to do around the garden ;)). And I was really happy to share this post at last week's Share Your Style #364, as I know you know. :)

Happy decorating and congratulations again on beginning your weight loss journey,
    Barb :)
