More of the "Tea Room" in my Dining Room, Bed and Breakfast Series....

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Just a reminder, I will be posting on Wednesdays and Sundays every week so be sure to check back on those days to see a new post......

Today, I will be continuing my Tour of the Dining Room decorated as a "Tea Room" for the Summer....

In my previous post, I shared  that I decorated my Dining Room in a "Tea Room" theme for the Summer....

And did a bit of reminiscing about attending different Teas as part of a Victorian Society....

Click HERE if you missed that Post....

Thanks to Andrea over at The Cottage Market , for choosing my post, Early Spring Front Porch, as one of her features from last week's A Morning Cup of Joe Linky Party!!!!

 Thanks again , Andrea!!

Please stop by and link up to this delightful party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

 Food of the Week

This week's Reheat and Eat Dinners from the WB Scranton Pens Food Service.....

Beef Lasagna with garlic bread for me

Herb Roasted Chicken Breast with Rice Pilaf for Joey...

And I found that if I pre-medicate, I can eat the vegetables without dire consequences....

Joe passed on any dinner as none of them appealed to him.....

The lasagna is very good and is made in a more traditional Italian way, differently from how I make it

And Joey loves any type of chicken that Chef Steve makes as he says it is so tender.....

Joey treated us to pizza on Friday from Serpico's but I did not take pictures of it as you have seen it all before.....

I always say that in my 40's, when all my multiple Medical issues started to rear their ugly heads, I knew that my days of traveling for any distance were over....

So I decided that since I loved the Victorian Era so much that I would turn my 1970's built townhouse into the Victorian Bed and Breakfast that I would love to stay at if I was able to continue to travel....

This year, I decided to decorate my Dining Room as if it was a "Tea Room" in my very own Victorian Bed and Breakfast that I created....

We left off here at the buffet.....

Next to the buffet is a small curio that was my neighbor Elly's......

A gold Home Interiors shelf hangs above the  curio.....

A vintage Fan plate that I ordered on Ebay many years ago...

The Angel was a gift.....

I bought the brass fans at a yard sale many years ago....

The top of the Curio....

I bought this gorgeous lace doily at Belvidere , N J 's Victorian Days about 15 years ago....

I have had the pink tulip lamp for over 20 years...

A vintage demitasse cup and saucer....

Rose Buds in a vase....

This book was a gift from a friend....

And this is a miniature Hummel china Tea Set....

This was also a gift from a friend....

One of Home Interiors Victorian Lady figurines.....

Another vintage demitasse cup and saucer....

I will be sharing what is inside this curio and the matching larger one in a future post....

We inherited the Dining Room furniture from Joe's Maternal Grandmother....

Her name was Rose.....

I have the Hutch now filled with most of my collection of Moss Rose vintage dishes.....

I showcased this collection a few posts back along with the story of how we inherited this Dining Room funiture.....

If you missed that post, click HERE!!

The top of the Hutch.....

Again, I went with the "Tea Room" theme.....

Another Home Interiors Victorian Lady....

The picture on the wall is of the four Seasons by Thomas Kinkade....

My paternal Grandparents Wedding picture.....

I bought the Tea  set in T.J. Maxx........

I also have one mug that says Tea and another one that says Coffee but I chose not to display them.....

I bought the 2 vintage lamps at a yard sale for $1.00 each!!

Then ordered hanging crystals to add to them on Ebay....

And one more Home Interiors Victorian Lady....

One the side of the Hutch by the window divider between the Dining Room and Living Room......

This is actually 2 large hat boxes covered with a vintage round table topper and a pink lace doily that is hand made and hand dyed that I bought on Ebay some 10 years ago.....

I used to display a large Victorian Doll here but when decorating for Halloween 2 years ago, I did this.....

And that started a whole new thing of placing Holiday decorations there instead of the Doll which found a new home in our bedroom...

Again, I was racking my brain trying to remember the pieces and where I put them that I had used when I would entertain 20+ people here for Holiday Open Houses and other Gatherings that I held over the years....

At Christmas, I saw this picture on Pinterest....

This reminded me that I had a vintage milk glass punch bowl with a base up in the attic.....

For almost 30+ years, when I hosted Christmas Get Togethers, I would serve a Holiday Punch in it.....

So I decided that somehow, I was going to incorporate it in my "Tea Room" themed Summer Dining Room.....

I used greenery and a Home Interiors Rose bush to fill the bowl....

You can see one of my CD towers to the left in the above picture....

I have hundreds of CD's and that one holds all my Christmas CD's......

The punch bowl is set on a mirror round and I placed a figurine of 2 doves in front of it....

You guessed it...The doves are a Home Interiors Piece....

There is a grape pattern on the bowl.....

 The base.....

And cups....

I love the detail on the handles.....

I have used these cups as Tea Cups when hosting the Harvest Tea's at our church.....

I may throw a set of fairy lights in the greenery on top....

I am going to skip this corner, along with what I have hung on the window dividers between the Living Room and the Dining Room because I will be sharing this table, the chandy and the Dining Room table in Part 3 of this Series on a "Tea Room" in the Dining Room.....

I may be dabbling with these shades on the chandy....

And I have used these chair covers that I thought I gave away .....

But I think I may be dressing them up a bit.....

So stay tuned....

Continuing on to this corner by the Kitchen......

Hanging on the wall next to the larger Curio.....

Joe gifted me this frame .......

On a Home Interiors shelf, a gold and white cardinal gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie....

And another Home Interiors Victorian Lady....

On a marble topped table, is my Funeral Basket that I decorate for the Holidays and Seasons....

Right before Easter, I ordered new lighted branches as the ones I had in the basket for years finally died.....

I have displayed birds and an egg on the table....

And these photos of my Maternal Great Grandmother, Grandmother and my Mother.....

On the left is my Grandmother with my Great Grandmother and on the right is my Grandmother with my Mother as an a young girl......

You can tell that I take after my Grandmother in build.....

On top of the Curio....

I placed a vintage scale that I bought in Salvation Army.......

I bought the Busts at a yard sale for $1.00 each and I added a pearl bracelet around the neck of the Lady.....

Tea cups are displayed on the glass plates of the scale.....

I dressed up the scale with flowers and pearls.....

As I mentioned before, I will be sharing the inside of the Curio in a future post as part of the "What's in Your Hutch/Curio?" Series.....

I created a faux window between the Kitchen and Dining Room, blocking the Pass Through by hanging drapes and a piece of Stained Glass I bought at an Estate Sale..........

The stained glass reminds me of windows in Victorian Homes and those in the Frederick Stegmaier Mansion here in Wilkes Barre..........

I mentioned in my last post that I attended many Tea's there along with staying at the Mansion, which is a Bed and Breakfast, for a weekend.....

I love how the stained glass looks when the Kitchen lights are on.....

I hung a Heart that I bought on Ebay many years ago from the valance rod, using a shower curtain hook in the shape of a rose....

I bought the rose swag at a church Flea Market....

Next the Curio, is a cabinet that my Dad made for me to match Joe's Grandmother's Dining Room Set...

Stored in this cabinet are hundreds of CD's...

I bought the gold cherub candlesticks in Salvation Army for $3.00 each and added the hurricane glass shades to them.....

A picture of my maternal grandparents and a vintage trinket box....

I bought the crystal compote bowl at an estate sale....

I filled it with 2 floral candle rings and placed a candle in a vintage milk glass candle holder that is inside the bowl that you can not see....

A picture of my Grandmother holding my Mother as an infant and another vintage trinket box........

Bare in mind that both my parents would be 103 years old this year....

My parents were almost 40 when I was born......

And that concludes this part of the Tour of my Dining Room decorated as a "Tea Room" for the Summer.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing it because I sure had a lot of fun putting it all together.....

I will be returning with the final part of my "Tea Room" Tour in a week.....

This coming week, starting on Wednesday, I will start to share my Summer Patriotic Decorations in the Living Room as Memorial Day is a week away.....

  3. Hi Debbie! I've been so far behind on viewing blogs. I sure love all the closeups of your individual pieces of porcelain and statuary. You have some lovely pieces. Very fun post, and just almost too many photos, as my comp jammed twice trying to view them all, but then this comp is really old. Hugs, and back to the garden. Sandi

  4. Love seeing all the pink and floral pieces in your tea room, Deb! They are really beautiful. Your cabinets are amazing too. It's so pretty the way you have everything displayed. Can't wait to see more from your patriotic decor series too. That tree is fabulous! Hugs for a happy week, CoCo

  5. As always it's such a pleasure seeing how you decorate, Debbie and manage to combine found treasures with things that are special to you and your family. I love that glass window BTW. It's so striking and the casually draped pearls on the lady bust and china ornaments on the chandelier are so whimsical and fun. I could never pull that off, but you do it so well.

  8. Your tea room is so sweet, Debbie, and it reminds me of a hotel we used to visit when my kids were little. It was very "Victorian bed and breakfast," and we loved it so much. And, oh my goodness, the food always makes me so hungry!
