And now for a few Personal Notes...

 Food of the Week.....

On Thursday,  I made a very simple dinner for Joe and I.....

These also come in Chicken Cordon Bleu and Chicken Parmesan....

We started eating the cordon blue ones after being invited to dinner at a friend's home over 20 years ago and she served them.....

AND Joe actually likes these!!!!

I made a package of Taco Rice.....

The lobster and scallop ones are quite tasty!!!

Joey does not like these stuffed chickens nor does he like Taco Rice so he had chicken tenders and Chicken Rice!!

LOL!!

On Friday, I fasted for blood work and since I do not like to run with the herd of people who usually go as soon as the doors open because they are fasting, I did not go until around 10:30am....

Walked right in, no one else there, sat down and was there and back home in less than 20 minutes!!!!!

My blood work was posted within a few hours and all is normal and better than ever except for an elevated White Count which is probably due to allergies as my sinuses have been bothering me with all the pollen....

I have an appointment with my family physician this week....

I forgot to drink my coffee until noon and then Joe was Preening and mulching the front slope.....

Good way to fall down the slope when pulling out a weed....

Glad I did not take this rhododendron out of my neighbor's yard when we landscaped her yard last year....

My neighbor, who I was talking to in her car as she was leaving, said that Joe looks like he is throwing rice at a Wedding!!!!

My neighbor who owns the house next to us , who is still remodeling it a year later, said we are on retainer for mulching her yard and slope each year so that is why Joe is doing hers....

And the flower bed under her Living Room window.....

The hostas are all coming up nicely!!!

I will be sharing more of this in future posts....

Since we were busy doing this, I did not eat anything until Joey treated us to Buffalo Wild Wings for Friday Dinner......

Joey got mozzarella sticks, Fries, Naked Chicken Tenders and Buffalo Mac N Cheese!!!!

Yes, he ate it all!!

I got the Cheese Curd Bacon Burger and Tater Tots!

It is a good thing that I did not eat all day as I saved myself for this baby!!!

Joe worked from 8 am til 4 pm on Saturday as a favor for Chef Steve so I threw in a Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Pizza from Price Chopper for Saturday's Dinner!!!!

All this goodness for only $10.99!!!

I always say that in my 40's, when all my multiple Medical issues started to rear their ugly heads, I knew that my days of traveling for any distance were over....

So I decided that since I loved the Victorian Era so much that I would turn my 1970's built townhouse into the Victorian Bed and Breakfast that I would love to stay at if I was able to continue to travel....

Several years ago, I got rid of the single bed that I had kept in this room after my son Jim moved out, replacing it with a swivel Rocker/Recliner for my self....

I sometimes have trouble sleeping at night due to my IBS and need to sit up to feel better so the recliner is the perfect thing for me when I am having those issues.....

With the faux fireplace and book cases filled with books, I decided to rename this room ( Guest Room) and call it the Sitting Room.....

After all, most Bed and Breakfasts have a Sitting Room where one can relax and read....

After I packed away the Christmas decorations from the Sitting Room in February, I set the room back up in a Garden Theme.....

For the past few years, I have been setting up a Fairy Garden on the mantel of my faux fireplace.....

And this year is no different.....

I did do things a bit differently as I moved inside some things that I had been using in my outside Fairy Garden Tub.....

The outside one takes such a beating, especially last year with all the rain we had......

So I wanted to preserve some of the nicer pieces.....

I am going to let the pictures do the talking for the most part....

I took all these pictures in the evening with all the lighting turned on.....

Butterfly clip ornaments bought in Walmart after Christmas one year...

A vintage hand mirror hung on the wall....

I did the center differently this year....

I placed the wood pedestal in the overturned mountain cliff that I use in my Christmas Village under the Living Room Tree.....

At Christmas with the lighthouse on top of it....

I moved the house on top of the Tea Cup inside from the outside Fairy Garden Tub

I placed 2 bushes of greenery inside the "mountain".....

I like the back drop it creates for the bench.....

Almost looks like a tree trunk....

The vintage plate was gifted to my Mother when she was a child by a beloved Aunt....

The embroidered dresser scarf with the tatted edging that I used on the mantel was made by my maternal Grandmother.....

In keeping with the Fairy Garden theme, I also decorated the "hearth" area of the fireplace....

 A Fairy ornament....

A Seed Packet ornament....

Dragon fly battery operated lights from Dollar Tree...

A Fairy House, a Fairy and a toad stool on top of the lantern......

2 Thomas Kinkade pots filled with greenery on each side of the lantern.....

 Garden plaques from Dollar Tree

And Teddy Bear Tea....

I hope you enjoyed seeing my indoor Fairy Garden on a mantel and how I decorated my faux fireplace for the Spring and Summer.....

It will stay this way until the Sitting Room gets decorated for Christmas in October.....

I will be sharing more of this room decorated in a Garden theme in future posts....

  1. All that delicious food!!! You are so far ahead of us with the yard work. My husband has been painting both sides of our entire fence, but is on a break due to a combination of allergies and rain. Today we were forecast showers all day and all we got was a drizzle in the morning. Your fairy gardens are lovely!

  5. I love the idea of bringing your fairy garden inside! And that patio looks great. I know I'd be spending a lot of time out there. I suspect you will too. Eventually. Still cold there?

  8. You have been so busy, Debbie. Hopefully the weather will finally settle down and give us some consistent temps...seems like we may go from freezing to airconditioning in one felled swoops. Lots of action in your mantel area and how colorful your back yard is already without much blooming. Have a great Spring, Sandi---or will it be summer? LOL.
