 Thanks so much, Katie!!

Thanks, Richella!!

I also want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for featuring my post, Gnomes and Fairies in my Cottage Garden Back Yard, from last week's Thurday's Favorite Things Linky Party!!

Thanks so much, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!

And now for My Personal Notes....

Since the weather here has been beautiful which high temps. in the high 60's to low 70's, I took advantage of that and cleaned the windows in the Den....
I also took down the burgundy lace valances and ivory lace curtain panels and replaced them with these lace swags for the Summer.......
And we put the sir conditioner in this window.......
I also cleaned the windows in our Master Bedroom, took down the lace curtain panels and freshened up the drapes in the dryer before rehanging them ......

And we also put in the air conditioner in the bedroom window.....

Finally, my azaleas in the front flower bed that runs along the sidewalk in front of our row of townhouses at the top of the slope, are starting to bloom......
They are about a week and a half late this year......
It was actually 36 degrees here this morning..........
Because of the cooler than normal temps. that we have had in May, everything is behind schedule in blooming!!

This red azalea is usually the first of the 3 that I have to bloom......
It is a brilliant red!!!
Looking down the sidewalk......
This purple one is usually the 2nd one to reach full bloom.....
I took this photo of a bumble bee pollinating the flowers, not realizing that my chippy Angel was in the back ground.....
The phlox on our slope are slowly losing their blooms.....
But you can see the blooms starting to open on the azaleas, adding a bit of color.....
You can see our son Joey, walking out the front door......
There he is sitting on the front porch, having a smoke....
He is planning on moving back to his apartment this weekend since Pa. is slowly reopening.....
He will still be working from home for some time but will continue to come here for dinner in the evenings and to spent some time with us.....

He lives 5 minutes up the road in the apartment complex right by our development.....

I will miss having him here....

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the rest of the Living Room for the Summer Patriotic Holidays.....
The Living Room is really the only room that I decorate in the Summer for Holidays.......

But I do add Patriotic decorations to the china cupboard ad the area surrounding it in the Den......
I will be sharing this area in a future post.....

In previous posts, I shared my Patriotic "Mantel" which is actually the top of the TV Entertainment Center that I like to treat as a mantel....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

I also shared how I decorated this 7 foot slim Tree that is now staying here year round in the Living Room ......
And how I decorated the platform underneath it.....
Click HERE if you missed that post....

I like to decorate my "faux" window for the different Holidays and Seasons.....
I hung this USA sign from the valance.......
And even though I made this wreath a few years ago, I spruced it up a bit this year......
I added a sign that I bought on Clearance last year in Gabes for $1.00 to the center of the wreath....
I also added a set of lights to the wreath......
I hung 3 plaques that I made underneath the wreath......
I used vintage style cards that I bought on Ebay several years ago.....
On the floor in front of the TV Entertainment Center......
Sitting on a bench covered with a Patriotic place mat, is a United States Marine Bear.....
Joe's Father was a Marine in the Korean War that was awarded a Purple Heart....
Over by the front door.......
On the marble topped plant stand by the front door......
I taped a flag to a battery operated candle inside the large candle holder.........
And placed this "God Bless America" sign in front of it...
And added red, white and blue beads.....

I hung a tinsel Patriotic star to the front door......
When you walk in the front door, this is what you see.......
Looking up the stairs......
I decorated the lanterns on the stairs.......
Patriotic bows that I made......
I also taped flags to these candles......
I bought this pretty Patriotic Lady at an Estate Sale,,,,,,,.....
I changed out the bow that I had here before for one I made from deco mesh ribbon......
I embellished her with ribbon roses and buttons and bows.....
On this side of the stairs......
A battery operated flag that plays Patriotic songs and "waves" in the breeze is on the top step......
Firecrackers that I bought at Michael's on Clearance one year......
A battery operated lighted ball and an Uncle Sam Nut Cracker.....
The corner by the stairs.......
I like to decorate this vintage chair for the different Holidays and Seasons.......
Joe cashed in comp points that he had at the local casino for this Patriotic Bear.....
She sings Kate Smith's "God Bless America"....
A floral arrangement that I made in a milk glass vase.....
A Patriotic cup cake dish bought at the Christmas Tree Shop.....
Another one of the Patriotic signs that I bought at Gabes last year for $1.00!!!
I like that there is aqua on it, matching the Living Room......
I also like to decorate this lighted Branch Tree
I just used red, blue and silver ball ornaments.......
And wrapped a strand of wired red, blue and silver star garland around it......
An arrangement that I did in a pot that I embellished with felt stickers......
Looking down the hallway to the Kitchen and Powder Room......
In the hallway.......
Sorry it is dark but this is a very narrow hallway and is hard to take pictures in.......
I framed a Thomas Kinkade Picture from a calendar......
A wreath I made......
A Patriotic card in the center of the wreath.....
Hanging underneath the wreath.......
A tinsel star and hat bought at Dollar Tree.......
I embellished them with Patriotic tags that I bought on Ebay years ago......
And that finishes up my Summer Patriotic decorations in the Living Room......

They will stay up until the week after July 4th.....

I have some ideas for some Patriotic Crafts and ornaments so I may be adding to these decorations over the next month or so.......

When I do, I will be sharing them with you.........

In my next post, I hope to share the front porch and yard decorated for Memorial Day......
That is if I get to buy my annuals to plant in all my pots out front......
It was 36 degrees this morning with Frost warnings in some areas which was not even predicted yesterday........
I do hope to go and buy the flowers tomorrow for the front.......

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and happy!!!
