I am so happy you decided to stop by!!
In my last post, I shared how I decorated my Victorian Doll House, Nelson Crest, for Halloween......
Click HERE if you missed it......
All last week, I cleaned and decorated my Craft Room for Christmas......
As I was getting ready to put away a small tub of potential Fall/Halloween crafts for next year, I took a look at some material that I had and since I passed on some pumpkins that I embellished to my niece Renae and her girls, I thought I would make 2 new pumpkins out of toilet paper rolls.......
Now I have been making these for years and this year, they have become popular on the Blogs again but with a new design.......
Unrolling the toilet paper a bit and fluffing the sides out to make the pumpkins look more plumper and realistic.......
I used Halloween fabric that I had for this one.......
And black fabric for this one......
I cut a piece of wired ribbon that I had to cover the stem and cut out some leaves for this one....
You may remember a few posts back, I did a Halloween Tablescape when we had our kids over for a Sunday dinner........
Click HERE if you missed that post.....
My dear friend Anne Marie, who I have not seen for close to a year, came over for lunch the other day so I decided to play a bit with a little Halloween tablescape!!!
As my sons got older and stopped Trick or Treating, I actually got rid of a lot of my Halloween decorations and was going to only decorate for Fall but then I met Anne Marie, who loves Halloween and she got me back into decorating for Halloween again!!!
The Dining Room is the room that I devote solely to Halloween!!
This was the table that I set for our lunch......
I started with a lace tablecloth and my black spider web place mats......
Chargers that I actually spray painted with black chalkboard paint!!
The same Autumn Melamine dishes, bought at a church flea market years ago, that I used in the other tablescape......
And these different white and black Halloween dessert plates......
A rather spooky looking napkin......
My everyday Oneida flatware, crystal goblets that were a Wedding present and white mugs......
One plate is a Pumpkin that says "Spooky"........
And the other has a Bat on it that says "Wicked"......
Joe bought them on Clearance one year in Wegman's and they only had 2 left.....
In the center of the table, I used another black spider web place mat, the 2 pumpkins that I made, a jar candle in a lantern and a silver "Creepy" sign!!
I served lasagna and whimpies that I had left over from a Family Get Together that I held on the previous weekend along with some home made zucchini bread.....
It was a wonderful afternoon, catching up with a dear friend!!
Funny thing about how I met Anne Marie.....
She and her husband, Tony, used to sit in front of Joe and I when we first started going to the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins Hockey games and as we started to talk, we realized that we had a lot in common including decorating for different Holidays and we both loved the vintage items, antiques and the Victorian style!!
We have been friends ever since......
Anne Marie was kind enough to gift me these wonderful Halloween Goodies.....
A pretty Fall Leaf garland that I will use to adorn my Dining Room Chandy next year
A cute spider web.....
This Jack O Lantern that you can put a tea light in.....
These sweet Bethany Lowe looking Halloween Kids.....
A Skeleton .......
And a vintage looking Halloween sign!!!
And here is where I put them all!!!
Perfect!!!!
We both vowed that we need to get together more often..........
We didn't get a picture of us together but this one was taken at last year's Harvest Tea at our church.....
Last year, I shared some photos of Anne Marie's house decorated for Halloween......
I want to share them again because they are spectacular!!!
I told you it was spectacular!!!
In the Summer, I did a post about an Amish Farmer that sets up a Farmer's Market on Fridays in the Summer at the Mini Mart down the street from us......
Last Friday was his last for the Season so Joe went down to get some Banana bread, which I freeze and use for the Holidays, and came home with these 2 beauties!!!!!!
It turns out that in the Winters when he does not have Produce to sell, he goes to local hospitals close to where he lives and some in New York and sells the Baked Goods and wood items that he and his son make!!!
To our knowledge, he never has brought his wood wares here before but am I glad he did on Friday and Joe encouraged him to do so when he returns in May!!
The workmanship is fantastic!!
All the edges are rounded!!
The edges on this piece are also rounded.....
Hearts cut out on each side of the basket!!
Just beautiful!!!
He gave them to Joe for a discounted price since Joe is there every week and has bought quite a bit of things from him over the Summer......
Now I have to figure out how I am going to finish them!!!!
Any ideas???????
In my next post, I will be sharing a few Fall/Halloween decorations in the Powder Room and downstairs hallway......
So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
