Fall/ Halloween Hutch in the Kitchen Part 1, 2018

WELCOME!!

Today, I will be sharing Part 1 of my Fall/ Halloween decorations in the Kitchen.........

In my last post, I finished sharing my Fall Decorations in the Living Room with the "Pumpkin Patch" underneath my Autumn Tree.......
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

I decorate the Kitchen for Fall with a bit of Halloween thrown in......

But first, I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn of choosing my post.Fall Front Porch as her feature from last week's Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!!
Thanks so much, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to this great party!!!

I know I have shared this wall in my Kitchen countless times before and for that I apologize that you are seeing it once again!!
I added a few touches for Fall and Halloween to the existing decor........
I bought several rolls of this ribbon in Target one year after Christmas.......
To me, it looks more like a ribbon for Fall rather than for Christmas.....

I have used this ribbon through out the Kitchen so you will be seeing it again.......

You see that over on the left side of the Hutch in the Kitchen is something new.......
One of my co- workers brought in this chalkboard for me that she no longer wanted.......
I was able to hang it here but I spruced it up a bit for Fall.......
I made a bow out of the ribbon for the top of the chalkboard......
I forgot to take a photo of the tile at the top of the chalkboard which has apples on it......
I simply tucked a Halloween card that I had into the grove that holds the tile in place.......

You may remember I bought this autumn block at Michael's which was originally $10, marked down to $5.00 and I had a 20% off coupon!!!
That took it down to a little over $4.00 with tax......
It fit perfectly on the little shelf at the bottom of the chalkboard.......
I wrote " Happy Fall" on the chalkboard and added a few faux gourdes........
Next to the chalkboard is a yellow milk can with a red and yellow floral arrangement in it.......
I tucked in 2 large orange berry branches for Fall......
I like to decorate the desk area of the hutch for the different Holidays and Seasons.......
I added a bow made out of the same plaid ribbon to the top of the hutch......
And changed out the plates in the center of each shelf with Autumn Leaf plates.....
The desk area of the hutch is decorated for Fall/Halloween......
I did things a bit differently.......
I usually use clear apothecary jars for my candy display but this year, I decided to use vintage canning jars........
Over on the left side is a Fall recipe box that I filled with a floral arrangement many years ago......
A cute little ghost and a pumpkin Jack O Lantern.......
In the center, hangs a cute picture with a "Chef" and a red barn, titled "Bountiful Harvest"..........
The canning jars are filled with different types of candy corn.......
In the center on another Autumn Leaf plate is a faux cookie, lollipops and glass candy......
Over in the right corner is a painted canning jar that says "Autumn Greetings"......
Faux gourdes surround the milk glass hurricane lamp.........
Another ghost and a cat Jack O Lantern.......
Everything is displayed on a gold place mat...........
I added a touch of Fall underneath the desk part of the hutch....
A leaf candle holder and Fall is written on the small red framed chalkboard....
On the right side of the hutch.....
I made this "Harvest Blessing" sign our of an old baking sheet that I spray painted with black chalkboard paint.....
I had originally used to display it in the "Pumpkin Patch" underneath The Autumn Tree.......
Next to it hanging on a vintage styled hook is a tin pocket filled with some Fall flowers......
And this is how this wall in our Kitchen looks decorated for Fall with  touch of Halloween......
I also want to share the area by the stove in this post.....
Some Fall oven mitts......
On the side of the stove.......
A Halloween pot holder hangs from a hook on the wall......
On a magnetic curtain rod that I usually hang vintage aprons and towels from, I hung an extra mini flag on.......
It is a burlap like material.........
A galvanized bucket in the corner is filled with some Fall like flower bushes......
Fall potholders hang above the stoves.......
Crocheted Halloween magnets that I made several years ago hang on the hood above the stove......
Halloween towels hang on the stove....
In my next post, I will be sharing more of the Kitchen decorated for Fall/Halloween........
So I hope you will be back to visit again.....

  1. Wow! Your kitchen just pops with fall color, I love it! All these years and I didn't know they made magnetic towel holders and what a great idea to repurpose it as a fall flag holder! I might change my mind, but I'm not planning to decorate for Halloween this year. Grandkids are too old or too young, we don't get many trick or treaters anymore......and it's so much work! hugs....

  2. Holy smokes girl you certainly are a busy decorator! Your home is so festive and full of color. I do halloween and fall separately. October for halloween and November for fall. It may seem tedious but its fun to change it up. Then theres Christmas to look forward to, but never before Thanksgiving. It get's its own month.
    Well, happy decorating!
