In my previous posts, I shared my late Summer "Under the Sea" Tree.......
Click HERE if you missed that post......
And a bit more "Under the Sea" decorations.......
Click HERE if you missed that post.....
I have been doing a bit more crafting........
But first, I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Bright and Colorful Patio, Part 2, as one of her features from last week's Over the Moon Linky Party!!!!
Thanks so much, Bev!!
Please stop by and link up to this wonderful party!!!
As I mentioned, I have been doing a bit of crafting!!!!
I was at Big Lot's and saw a Beach sign .........
When I got home, I thought to myself....I could make my own!!!!
I also wanted to make a few more Star Fish ornaments so I told Joe to buy a pack of 3 Star Fish that were at Wegman's........
And this is what I ended up crafting!!!!
Let's take a look at these first........
Since I am calling my Late Summer decorations, "Under the Sea", I made my own "Under the Sea" sign.....
I first searched my stash of craft supplies and found this.......
Several years ago, I bought 3 packs of 3 burlap covered plaques on Clearance in Micheal's for a little over $1.00 each pack!!!
I then looked and found 2 different kinds of trim and some peach beads......
I recently bought these unfinished wooden letters in Dollar General for $3.00 a pack......
I painted them white and sprinkled them with aqua colored glitter......
And sprinkled them with aqua glitter and brushed some iridescent white glitter on the shells.......
I am pretty happy with how it came out......
So I decided to make one more.......
I started with another burlap covered plaque......
Spelled out BEACH this time.......
And added shells......
Now I will show you where I put them........
I like to decorate the faux window in our Living Room with a wreath for every Holiday and Season.......
I made this wreath last year........
I used a grapevine wrath and shimmery aqua deco mesh......
I added aqua and white silk flowers to it......
And glued several different types of shells to the wreath....
I forgot to mention that I added netting to the wreath also......
Instead of using a bow for the wreath, I added one of the wooden sea horses that I made into ornaments last year.......
I decide to hang the "Under the Sea" plaque that I made under the Wreath......
I use large suction cups to hang things on the mirror........
In the hall way from the Living Room to the Kitchen, is a mirror on the wall between the coat closet and the Powder Room........
I hung another wreath that I made last year along with the Beach plaque......
I used white and aqua deco mesh to make this "Life Preserver" wreath.......
Again, I added netting and an anchor and sea horse that I also made......
And of course, I added different kinds of shells to it......
I hung the Beach plaque underneath this wreath........
Since the star fish were already colored, I did not have to paint them so I just embellished them........
I added different types of trim to each one.......
Gold to this one.....
Aqua and gold trim to this one.......
I made these 2 into ornaments.......
Here they are hanging on the Tree......
I embellished this aqua one with gold and silver trim........
The star fish were a bit larger than I thought......
So I decided to add it to the "Beach" under the Tree........
I hope that maybe I inspired you to create some of your own Beach or Sea Shell crafts.......
In my next post, I will be sharing more "Treasures" that I recently bought......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI've said it before but where do you find the time to do all that you do? You blog, do crafts and decorate your home so creatively. I love all of your beach-themed items for summer and especially your tree with the "beach" underneath! Cheryl
Cheryl,
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by and for your kind words!! I could not get in touch with you any other way so I am responding to your comment here.
Hugs,
Deb
What fun decor! I've had a beach theme in the bathroom in every house I've lived in, and some of these would be such a perfect addition. :)
