Winter Snow and Ice China Cupboard in the Den 2018

Welcome!!

In my last few post, I shared how I decorated my Kitchen for Winter in mostly a cardinal theme with a touch of Valentine's added......

I have added those posts to my side bar if you missed them......

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated our Den for Winter in a Snow and Ice theme........

Lord knows we have had enough of snow and ice here in NEPA this Winter so far.......

Today, I will be sharing the China Cupboard in the Den........

I had it decorated like this for Christmas.......
I changed it up a bit and now it is decorated for Winter......
I bought this owl and these birds in Gabes before Christmas.......
I thought they would be perfect for my Winter display on top of the China Cupboard......
I kept the battery operated lit tree where it was and changed out the church that was there for Christmas with my Ice Church that I had used in the Dining Room on the buffet for Christmas.....
An owl ornament was hung on the Tree along with a snowflake.......
An Avon tea pot that I bought at a flea market with a Currier and Ives like scene on it and a Winter bird sits in front of the ice church.......
In the middle, is the owl that I bought.......
More birds and a few pine cones......
A framed Thomas Kinkade Winter Scene on a post card......
An Avon pitcher that matches the tea pot, also bought at the same flea market.....
You can see that my new birds match the ones I already had.....
The pitcher is filled with Winter greenery......
I lined the top of the china cupboard with a string of fairy lights which look cute at night!!

Next to the china cupboard is my Thomas Kinkade Calendar where I change the plate at the top for each month.....
I changed a few things inside of the china cupboard for Winter.......
White bells with a pine cone and greenery on top hang on the left side......
Below that on a small table is the white feather tree that was decorated with ornaments for Christmas......
I left the string of fairy lights on it but decorated it with clear snowflakes........
I hung my Flight 93 National Park Memorial Ornament on this tree.....
Snow men decorate the table.....
And a cloche ornament with a Winter scene and a vintage putz house...
On the right side of the china cupboard.....
A wreath from Dollar tree and 2 large snow flake ornaments bought a few years ago in J.C. Penney's.......
And ice skate ornaments hanging on the side of the wreath.....
I pretty much left the inside of the china cupboard the same way as it was decorated for Christmas......
I took out the Christmas plates, replacing them with blue and white transferware plates and hung a few crocheted snow flakes......

Top shelf.......
Middle shelf......
Bottom shelf.......
I did change up the stacked suitcases beneath the china cupboard a bit........
I took away anything having to do with Christmas and replaced it with snow men.....
I covered the blue and burgundy plaid chair with a green gingham dish towel and sat one of 2 dapper looking snow men in the chair!!
Notice how his outfit matches the towel covering the chair!!
On the top suitcase......
The cloche was on the top of the china cupboard for Christmas and I have now moved it here for Winter......
I added snowmen......
Deer.......
Snow flakes.....
And pine cones.....
Joe bought the "Believe" sign in bed, Bath and Beyond after Christmas........

The cloche with the deer inside of it was moved from the other side of the room and placed here on this pedestal.....
And sitting on this edge of the bottom suitcase is the other dapper snowman......
So this is how the front of the china cupboard looks like decorated for Winter......
But I also did a little decorating on the side of it too......
On the side of the cupboard is a corner niche shelf.......
On top of it is a snow man that I bought at a craft fair......
The vintage vase inside of it holds Winter greenery........
Under neath the shelf is a sled......
I hope you enjoyed seeing my china cupboard in the Den decorated for Winter........
It will stay this way until the end of Feb........

In my next post , I will be sharing my Winter Snow and Ice Tree in the Den.......
And more Winter Vignettes in the Den.........
And my Victorian Doll House decorated for Winter.......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  8. Well, you did it again. I'm gobsmacked! What an eyeful! So many things to see. I am immediately drawn to your Putz houses - I have a collection of them also, and put them out for Christmas; I love that you have incorporated them into your winter decorating as well!
And it's a good thing that I wasn't in Bed Bath and Beyond when Joe was there - we'd have to have arm-wrestled for who got to buy that Believe sign - I am mad for it! LOL
As always, thanks so much for the time and care you take preparing all your photos and creating your house tours - they're always so enchanting!
