An Autumn Trip to Country Folk Store, 2016

Last week, we had to pick up something at Joe's parents so I thought it would be the perfect time to visit one of my favorite Home Decor and Gift stores before they shut down for 2 weeks to decorate for Christmas........

But first, I want to Thank Jes , over at Strangers and Pilgrims on Earth, for featuring my post,  Front Yard Garden Notes for Next Year, as one of the monthly features from September's The Art of  Home-Making Mondays !
 Thanks so much, Jes!!

Please stop by and link up to this wonderful party!!

This is Country Folk in Nescopeck, Pa.

If you are familiar with my Blog, you may remember that I have done several posts on Country Folk in the past......

A quote from their web site..........

"Country Folk in rural Nescopeck, Pennsylvania, is a family-owned, one-stop home decor shop nestled among farm fields, with the picturesque Nescopeck Mountain as a backdrop. Our main store is a three-story barn structure filled with one-of-a-kind items, from country furniture, area rugs, and quilts to pottery and lamps, mirrors and wall decor, and other unique gifts. Our staff is always willing to assist you while ensuring a combination of quality products and superb customer service - the winning formula that has delighted our customers for more than 25 years now."

Yes, it is a 3 story barn converted into an amazing store!!

And they even have a Display House set up as if someone was living there.
The display house was closed because they already started to decorate it for Christmas......

I wanted to see their Fall decor as it has been quite a few years since I had been there in the Fall......

I was hoping to get some great pictures of the Fall Foliage but unfortunately, it was a rainy day......
Country Folk is nestled in a valley between the mountains and like their web site mentioned, it is located on a family farm.......
I always enjoy seeing what they have on their porch.....
And they did not disappoint.....
Walking in the door, this display greeted us.......
Just the first floor was decorated for Fall/Halloween........
You also see this vignette when you enter the store..........
This was set up by the cash registers.......
By the stairs and on the landing.........
More vignettes........
One of my favorite areas at Country Folk is the amazing Fireplace room.......

At least that is what I call it...

As you walk through the door way...........
To the left......
To the right......
Let me give you a closer look.......
Love the copper.....
I am so glad that I did not get rid of mine......

I will let the pictures do the talking........
Love that room!!

More Halloween........
Country Folk carries an extensive collection of Byer's Choice Carolers, made in Pennsylvania......
For October's Rudolph Day on the 25th, I will be showing you more of their Byer's Choice Christmas Collection......
And in a future post, I will be sharing more of the amazing decor at County Folk......
Just look at these bird cages!!!
2 years ago, I did several posts on Country Folk when I visited there in the Summer, click HERE if you are interested in seeing those posts.....

If you would like to see how it was decorated for Christmas in 2013, click HERE
And if you would like to see how they decorated it back in 2010, click HERE
I can not wait to return in a few weeks to see what they do for Christmas this year!!

They have such a wonderfully talented and friendly staff!!

Click HERE for Country Folk Face Book Page!

In my next post, I will be showing you how I decorated my "other" house for Halloween......
So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  9. Oh wow that place looks so neat and so big with so much to offer. Bummer that the house was closed when you went, I love it when stores set up little displays to give ideas on how to use it in your own home. I love that idea of the leaves hanging from the chandelier, how special to have this place to stop by when visiting the in laws! Bet your excited to go back when the house opens again!
