Our Bright and Colorful Patio, Part 1, 2016

ATTENTION: MY MAIN BLOG, DEBBIE-DABBLE, IS HAVING MAJOR ISSUES AND I HAVE LOST ACCESS TO CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE LAYOUT OF THE BLOG SO I HAVE DECIDED TO START A NEW BLOG BECAUSE I FEEL THE ISSUE WITH MY FORMER BLOG MAY NEVER BE RESOLVED.

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

If you followed me on my other Blog, I would so appreciate it if you will follow me on this blog too!!!!

Links are on my Side Bar!!

I want to thank everyone for their support and encouragement after my regular blog that I had for almost 6 years was hacked.

It was hacked through my Debbie-Dabble Face Book Page which I have now taken down and deleted.

At the end of this post, I will explain what exactly happened.......

I am finally posting about our Patio.......
I just want to explain about the concrete. I painted it to look like brick several years ago but after 2 very bad Winters and not getting around to painting it again, it looks the way it does.  We have not decided what we are going to do with it and will probably wait until the Spring to decide.......

I am going to break this up into 2 posts , starting with this side for today......
We have a very small concrete block that was poured by my Dad off the back of our townhouse......
It is covered by an awning......
The lattice provides privacy even though our yard is about 3 feet higher than our neighbor's yard on this side.......
I extended the patio using pavers several years ago because our electric lines are under ground and we can not lay cement over them.....

My Fairy Garden sits on the pavers......
If you missed the post about my Fairy Garden, please click HERE
I have Alberta Spruce Trees planted in large pots on each side of the Patio......

A few potted plants sit on a bright blue plant stand and around it......
A wreath hangs on the lattice........
I do not plant anything in this pot in the corner because this is where the morning doves will build their nests and have heir babies..........
We have already had 2 sets of babies this season........
In the corner.........
On a plant stand......
The table that I recently painted yellow after it was white......
Click HERE if you missed that post.......
One of several little stepping stones that were bought at Dollar Tree sits on the table........
I also spray painted the wicker furniture using Valspar Plastic Coat Spray Paint for resin furniture.......
I am please with how the wicker looks now......

Between the windows of the Den.......
Flameless candles are used in the lantern......
Unfortunately , we do not have central air conditioning.......
Under the air conditioner.......
A pant stand and a pot planted with marigold seeds that I am waiting to transplant when they get a bit bigger.........
I painted this table and the bird cage........
Another stepping stone from Dollar Tree.......
Next to the table is a chair that I bought at a yard sale, took the seat off and placed a pot in.......
I recently re-painted this chair pink and planted a pretty geranium in the pot.....
Below it is a pot planted with impatiens......
Next to the door......
I treat the back of our house as if it was a wall inside the house......
I had repainted these several years ago using bright colors......
I made the Garden Wreath on the back door........
In my last post, I shared the wreath after a bird had built a nest in it a few days ago.......
They have not returned so far to rebuild their nest........
And that is what this side of the Patio looks like for this Summer season......

Soon, I will share the other side of the Patio.........
So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And as promised, this is how I knew my blog was hacked.......

On my home computers, everything looked fine. I do use the computer at work during slow times and I noticed a huge space of nothing from my header down to my first post. When I went into Lay Out, I noticed under Cross Column 2, there was a HMTL JAVA SCRIPT Gadget with a code from a Thrid Party that had Face Book mentioned in it. I did NOT add this gadget. There were numerous gadgets under Cross Column 2, all the same with this same code. This caused the large space between my header and my first post. I could not delete them and I could not move them no matter what I did and the numbers of this same gadget seemed to multiply, causing this space to get larger and larger.
I also noticed on my Debbie-Dabble Face Book page that the title said Debbie-Dabble and underneath it was "@ Debbie-Dabble". When you clicked on "@ Debbie-Dabble", you were taken directly to my blog. I did not do this.  I figured out that this link , when clicked on, installed that same gadget every time it was clicked on. I also noticed that it also disabled my template and I could not do anything to change the look of my blog. I could post but unless some one scrolled to the bottom of my blog through an increasing amount of space between the Header and my posts, that was the only way they would find the post. Several people told me that they could not go pass the header.
So I decided to just create a new blog and yes, I did it all myself. My son, who is an IT Specialist with the company Web.Com, did NOT help me and is quite proud of his Mom!! LOL!! I am fairly computer savvy. I decided to just create a new blog and start fresh. I went through almost 800 posts and picked the ones that I wanted to move over. The only thing is that I lost all my Followers, 738 of them on Google Connect. I was able to transfer my Bloglovin ones over to the new Blog. And my Google + follow me and not a specific blog.
So that is the story!!  I figured I would show the hacker that I could come back even better and not be helpless after being hacked!! LOL!!
Thanks so much for all your encouragement and concern!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  3. sorry to hear about all the problems you have had with your blog, that scares me because I had a weird problem with my blog not to long ago so I just clicked fix it when I was doing it, cause I couldn't understand what it was saying when I had a pop up saying there was an HTTP or HTTPS problem with my post.
I love the colors you have chosen for the patio, especially like the cages in all the different colors. Your brick painting of the floor is so cool, I thought it was real brick before I read that you painted it and where it was rubbed off I just thought it had been nicked a little bit. Looks like a fun place to sit and enjoy summer

  4. Someone hacking into your blog is every bloggers nightmare. At least you were able to come back stronger. Your patio looks like a place you must spend so much time in. Very nice.

  7. I am so proud of you.....recreating your blog with no help...what an accomplishment! My granddaughter is engaged to a sweet guy with a Masters in computer programming (he works at the college) and I have asked him more than once to help me with problems I've had.
Your patio is charming....homey....fun...just a great place to sit and relax! We had our 4th early too...when more family members weren't working. Can't wait to see your fireplace's new look....hugs...

  8. What a cozy spot on your back patio. I like the look of your wreath hanging on the lattice. You did really well creating your new blog, Debbie. I know it would be a lot of work and we're all glad that you are up and running again. Have a lovely day, my friend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  10. Someday I coming to sit in your beautiful yard! I always love visiting. I am glad you figured out the problem and fixed it. I think mine is just with the way comments are done with google. At least I hope. I'm still getting traffic but no one can comment. A few people have emailed but not many. I have some ideas cooking around my head. My problem is if I give it up it will affect my reviews. We'll see. Have a good Wednesday. Blessings to you!

  15. Your patio is cheerful and happy!

I am so sorry about the hacking issue. Some people must have nothing in their life to do, so they mess with someone's personal blog. Glad you did a new one!
