Pink Ladies and Pink Depression Glass

First I want to Thank Elaine, over at Cookin' and Craftin' - My Two Favorite Things, for featuring my post, My Spring/ Summer Tree in the Craft Room, from last week's  My Two Favorite Things On Thursday Link Party as the Most Viewed!!!!
Thanks so much , Elaine, for this honor!!

And I also want to Thank Jody and Stan, over at Rooted in Thyme, for featuring my post, Want to See What I Bought For My Fairy Garden?, from last week's Simple and Sweet Fridays Party!!
Thanks so much, Jody and Stan!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!

At least for now, I decided to decorate the buffet in my Dining Room in the Victorian Style that I love!!
I have said many times before that our Dining Room is the most Victorian looking room in our townhouse......
I like to think of it as my Dining Room in my own little Victorian Bed and Breakfast!!
The buffet is over in the corner by the Kitchen.......
Most of the wall decorations are from Home Interiors and I still love these items and try to pick up any that I find at yard sales. etc.
I did recently receive  a new piece from a co-worker who no longer had a use for it as her decor is more Country in nature......
The rectangular picture under the Thomas Kinkade plate......
It was part of a Collection and I already had other pictures from the Collection!!
Do you see the little Boy figure playing with the dog next to the pitcher?

As a Mother of 2 sons, it touched my heart!!
I love it because it is just my style even though it is not the style of the current times.....
It made me very happy!!
Now back to the buffet........
I decided to create a very Victorian style vignette using my Thomas Kinkade Pink Ladies and some pink Depression Glass pieces!!
The crystal lamp was a flea market find........
I embellished the shade which was also bought at a flea market!

The picture frames were bought quite some time ago and were sold in stores by a company called Popular Creations.......
The other sage green pieces are from the same company......
I did embellish them some using ribbon flowers from my stash!!
The Wedding Party photo is what I call my "Instant Relatives"!!

Photos I bought at Estate Sales, Flea Markets, etc. and are no actual relation to my family!!

A pink Depression Glass candy dish filled with faux treats!!
The photo on the shelf is actually Joe's Maternal Grandparents on their Wedding Day!!
I just love my Thomas Kinkade Pink Ladies!!
Another "Instant Relatives" photo!!

A pink Depression Glass Tea Cup and Saucer......
There are pink crystals scattered on the saucer.....
I sprayed painted this silver candelabra pink many years ago!!!
The Votive cups are also from Home Interiors!!
A pink Depression Glass Biscuit Jar filled with faux candy!!
White lace gloves and another pieces from Popular Creations.....
Just a bit of Victorian Charm!!
Totally My Style!!
I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

  1. I love all the pink! It really is evocative of the era, this room. I would like to stay at your 'Victorian B & B'.
We have an antiques shop in my nearest big city and currently both windows are full of that Depression glass ~ its a double-fronted shop and one side has pink glass, the other, green. You'd love it!
isn't it a lovely pic of Joe's grandparents in the oval frame?
I enjoyed my visit, Deb, thank you.
By the way, I totally agree with the sentiments on appreciating our nurses!

  2. Oh how beautiful (and I am keenly aware that I say that every time I visit you, smiles). Thank you for the smiles...I have a red dainty bag like the one you have hanging, I wonder where I could hang that...hmm...it is well over 100 yrs old...I have always kept it in a box.
